FOOD & DRINKS
If the restaurant has Pho in its name then it is obvious what you should order. The recommended item was Pho Bo. The classic Pho in Vietnam I dare to say. The soup was aromatic and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect consistency, the slices of beef were tender and the meatballs were springy and bouncy. The whole bowl spoke quality to me. As a starter I also ordered their mini pancakes which is a traditional street food item in Vietnam. Most commonly served with shrimps. I had this one in another Vietnamese restaurant before and I have to say the quality and the taste are worlds apart. While it could have been crispier on the outside, the inside was light and fluffy and the shrimp tasted fresh and not overcooked.
SERVICE
The staff is really nice and friendly. They are a bunch of cool guys who don't mind to chat with you or help you out if you need any assistance.
ATMOSPHERE
Sleek and simple. I love all the wooden elements. Its more of a modern approach where the food is key to the Vietnamese vibe. Also the aroma in the restaurant is a cloud of Pho aromatics.
RATING
It was kind of a spontaneous decision to go here. I don't even like Pho that much. Still they surprised me for the better. There are not many items on the menu but all their food items are authentic. This is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Düsseldorf I know of that does that. This is such a plus and I think everyone should support them. If you want the Vietnamese food experience from South Vietnam, please give them a try. It can't get more authentic.
I would also give my recommendation on how to improve this restaurant. Offer one special pho. Maybe with bone marrow or something which makes you stand out more. Just add one authentic desert, please? But if you do, it must be legit. read more
