Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

This is going to be a semi long review but trust us, it's worth the read. If there was a rating…read morescale higher than 5 stars it would be 10+! We were planning our destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico and due to some last minute changes, we needed a photographer within 2 months of the event. We interviewed quite a few photographers and only one really stood out. Two Fourteen is run by an amazing couple (Virath and Krizelle) and they had an equally awesome second photographer with them (Esther). They offered us a great 10 hour coverage package which included up to 2 hours of non-wedding activities, versatility in flying out, an extra photographer, sneak peek photos within 2 days and so much more. If you want timeless, candid, light / airy, elegant, professional and crispy photos :), look no further. With their beautiful photography as well as their welcoming / fun personality, contagious smiles, and sheer enthusiasm, it made for an easy choice. We felt comfortable and confident as they created timelines, schedules, meetings and provided constant updates. They went above and beyond to accommodate and even got down on the dance floor after a couple of drinks ;). They are some of the most passionate people we have ever seen work: they glow with enthusiasm, are fun, personable and professional. Virath shines with his passion and love for photography, Krizelle is a gem who is clear and organized and Esther is fun, concise and meticulous. If you want "choreographed" photos... easy-peasy. If you want candid shots... it's covered. If you need flat lays or accents... done. If you have concerns on timelines, don't worry, they've already built in buffers. They excelled in every aspect and made sure to capture the magic for our very special day. Some specific details that we appreciated: 1. They were proactive and spent time introducing themselves to our vendors and coordinating with them ahead of the wedding. 2. Two Fourteen also does videography, so they knew how to work with the videographers, even giving them directions and suggestions. 3. Krizelle had an emergency pack on her that had Advil / Tylenol which came in handy as the bridal party had a migraine come on in the middle of the day. 4. While we were getting ready, any coordination that needed to happen with vendors, they handled it for us (e.g. reaching out to our wedding planners and flower vendors to ensure florals were brought over for detail photos). 5. They helped pose us for almost all of our photos, fixed our hair, fluffed dresses, got us drinks, and more. Something you don't realize is that your photographers are there with you for pretty much every moment of your day (more so than any other vendor - even your wedding planner). They're like your personal assistants and secondary wedding coordinators, not to mention your personal hype-men throughout the entire day. After planning a wedding for over a year, it was truly a pleasure and a weight off of our shoulders to have such a dedicated team instill confidence in our decision. Their focus was undeniable and we felt like we made friends in the process. We rarely write reviews but this one was definitely warranted. Don't think twice, pictures are forever!

They are the most hardworking and kind individuals in the room and beyond talented at capturing moments even through the chaos children and dogs can bring. Their work speaks for itself, but if I can I'd also like to humbly vouch for their incredible work ethic, nuanced understanding and talent for managing different group dynamics, keen ability to suss out and go above and beyond the needs of their clients, and just for being incredible human beings. Krizelle and Virath put so much heart into their work and I couldn't recommend them more highly!

If you want to re-live your big day over and over again years later, James is your guy! My wife and I had never done a professional photoshoot. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. After interviewing 5 different photographers, we knew from our first conversation that James was the one. He is incredibly friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. We agreed to do an engagement session, 1 location for 90mins to see if we'd be comfortable working with James. It couldn't have gone better. Initially, we were a bit stiff, but James gave us tips on how to act naturally, suggested poses and hand positions that made us feel and look relaxed. The time flew by and we actually ended up going to a second location with a wardrobe change. Overall, it was about 2 hours. James did not mind at all. In fact, he probably could've gone longer if the sun hadn't set on us! Our photos were edited and received in less than 2 weeks! James was kind enough to print a large poster and sign that shipped to our house in just a few days. He price matched any package/prints from other photographers. Having gone through our engagement session seamlessly, we hired James to shoot our wedding as well. He and an assistant were on site for 10 hours, tending to our every need and keeping us on our timeline. After our planned family/wedding party photos, we hardly even noticed them working as we proceeded with wedding events. After the wedding, we received many compliments on how great James was and several guests asked for his contact information. Within a couple of days, we received a preview of about 20 photos highlighting our big day. We were thrilled! Every important moment was captured so elegantly! The full magazine of photos was available for download in about 1 month. James then worked with us to print a high quality photo book for our coffee table. You can't go wrong with James--his high quality work and work ethic speak for themselves. There is no substitute for how easy and stress free he made us feel, so that we could truly enjoy ourselves knowing that he would capture every single moment candidly. Do not hesitate to hire James, it will be the best decision you will ever make.

An unforgettable experience captured perfectly -- thank you, James!…read more I had the honor of graduating from both LACC and UCLA Extension, and I'm so grateful that James was there to capture every important moment. From our first communication, he was extremely professional, flexible, and kind, always making sure he understood what I wanted and adapting to each location, timeline, and change with ease. He photographed both ceremonies with incredible attention to detail -- from candid moments of me with my husband, family, and friends, to emotional highlights like walking across the stage, and even the quiet, heartfelt moments in between. His eye for storytelling brought every part of the day to life. James made everyone feel comfortable, and his warm presence truly added to the celebration. He treated both graduations with care and dedication, and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to help preserve these milestones. If you're looking for someone reliable, talented, and genuinely passionate about their work -- James is the one. Thank you again for capturing these beautiful memories that my loved ones and I will treasure forever!

You know a photographer seriously wants to capture the best pictures of your baby if they want you…read moreto come back when baby is fed, well slept, and happy. For some reason things just didn't align well with my baby's naps and feedings that day so it was hard to manage a tired baby but they managed to get real good photos of my baby and the family. My baby didn't really smile much yet but they were still able to get smiling pictures of her too. Very professional and works so hard to get the best pictures. I was truly grateful for this studio and loved my experience. Also the picture quality was amazing!! The backgrounds were cute and the clothes were so adorable too!! The price point is reasonable and I'd say cheaper than some others for a better quality. I think the turn around time to receive the photos were faster than we expected too. Truly appreciate working with this photographer. He really seems to love what he does and we are blessed with these amazing photos!!! Couple things to note/tips: 1. Go when your baby can smile. Yes after their neck strength gets way better too. My baby still can't really smile yet and she's 4 months old. I really wanted to push having 100 day photos when she was 3.5 months old so neck strength and expressions aren't expected. 1a. Also go when your baby is well fed, pooped, rested, good condition, etc. makes a world of difference. 2. They give you a looooot of photos to choose from. Be prepared to be pleasantly overwhelmed with photos. If you get decision fatigue then ask your spouse to help. Cause I loved getting the full gamut of photos. 3. They have a wardrobe but if you want your baby to wear something specific, bring it! Their wardrobe is pretty cute tho and fits with their backgrounds. 4. They have set backgrounds to choose from in their studio. The backgrounds are really cute but if you're looking for something specific, unique, tailored to you, the studio setting might not be for you. But tbh all 100 day, dohl, event photos basically look the same...so I would think it's odd to expect something different. I've seen tons of beach engagement pics. Tons of dohl pics with the same backgrounds and balloons. So why complain about a studio pic with similar styles and backgrounds or lack of variety? You're already the unique and different baby/family. So there's that. 5. Bring a toy or something that can get your baby's attention. I realized belatedly my baby likes to stare at herself in the mirror. She also likes her little fox doll. If your baby has a preference for a toy, perhaps being prepared like that will help with the experience! 6. Match your clothes with your family and partner beforehand. Clothes, accessories and shoes too so they look cohesive in the photos! Belatedly realized my husband's shoes didn't match any of our family's and my son's also seemed a little too bright. Oh well. Overall I loved the photos! Thank you again for the awesome and kind experience!!!

Day of, we showed up on time to her studio, which is in a house in the Lindberg park area if you are familiar with Culver City. So lots of parking all over in residential area. She gave us some options for color schemes and looks and whisked the baby away for her shoot. Then before you know if, it's done! She is really good with communicating ETAs and sending previews.
