My husband and I interviewed a lot of people who were either good but outrageously expensive, or cheap but not good at all. Finally we found Felicia Perry. When I first told my husband I had found another candidate online, he said he instantly knew we had found The One. Felicia had recently gotten married herself and told us as a recent bride, she knew what moments were special, what moments needed to be captured. She was exceptional. I barely remember seeing her take our pictures, which is a sign of an excellent photographer. My husband and I were thrilled with her photos. We were married in 2005 and whenever I contact Felicia she responds right away and is incredibly helpful. I recommend her to anyone that wants their wedding to be photographed by someone who's not only creative and talented, but also courteous, helpful and all around good natured.

She told us exactly what to do! I am not used to having professional photos taken of me and felt it would be awkward- but that was not the case at all! She told us exactly what to do with our hands and where to look- and took us to several locations all over the venue to make sure we got amazing shots! She made sure to let us know how much time remained so we could get additional pictures of friends and family it was amazing to have someone so on top of it! I also really appreciated Rae's honesty! My feet were killing me the day of my wedding and I took off my shoes for some photos and she made sure to position me in certain ways so you couldn't tell, and if I did look awkward she made sure to keep it real with me so I would love how the photos turned out! She was so great! Its hard enough planning a destination wedding not knowing anything about the venue or anything else- Rae was super friendly on the phone and touched base with us before the wedding as to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. My initial Google search provided me studio photography options that just weren't my style. What happened next was fate. I did an image search, and came across a vibrant photo taken at American Tobacco Campus. Who was behind the camera for THAT? Turns out it was Ms. Carolyn Scott! I looked at her website and fell in love with her portfolio. My benchmark for photographers are children's photos - if you can photograph children, you can photograph anything. Her family photography looks so natural and captures each member perfectly. Sold. Contacting her was easy, and chatting with her was like catching up with an old friend. I decided to do a full branding session because I wanted to be photographed in 2 different outfits - one for my professional branding, the other to celebrate my 34th birthday. The session itself was so much fun. It's natural to feel a bit nervous at first, but she's very good at helping you relax and feel your best. I use my photographs for everything from LinkedIn and Zoom profile pics to social media and my blog. Highly recommend.
