I admit, I had an ulterior motive for asking Zahar from Raskin Studio to do my professional photo…read moreshoot. I get lots of pictures taken of me, and in almost all of them, I feel awkward, and it shows. This is especially painful when taking 'out and about' pictures with really attractive women, who are used to showcasing their pics on the internet - you definitely don't want them to feel that they're doing a favor by posting it - make your friends look good. In any case, Zahar spent over an hour and a half with me, taking around 100 photos to help me get comfortable and teach me how to pose and take good pictures. This resulted in a few fantastic, professional photos that I have since posted on many social networks, including personal and business ones, and have been lauded several times for. I know feel much more confident in getting my picture taken, and have a professional portfolio for future career development. What else can you ask for.

She is focused but easy to be around, with a fun personality and real professionalism. She's great at keeping the kids happy and occupied for these I-can't-believe-she-got-that-on-camera moments and gets some of the best smiles and expressions out of them. I want her to do a photo shoot with me and my husband next. Her prices are so reasonable, too--you get unbelievable value for what you spend, especially for the Boston area. People will think you spent a whole lot more than you did, and I guarantee will ask you for her number. I love that. Like someone else said here, the hardest part is narrowing the images down--any one of them would be your favorite shot from another photographer, but with Laura, it's just soooooo hard to pick. I wish I had more walls!

Laura has three children of her own, and I think this plays a huge role in her ability to relate to little ones, and to get them "on board" with smiling and having fun for photos! We love Laura and will definitely work with her again in the future!!
