I'm going to keep this super simple. My wife and I couldn't be happier about booking Photoflood Studio. We had some unexpected changes to our wedding timeline and Courtney was a rockstar. With the time constraint we had, Courtney definitely help relieved our stress. She was very patient, super flexible and professional. The picture speaks for itself. Thank you for being a part of our palindrome wedding!

UMMMM... We cannot express how much of a stress load it took OFF our shoulders by having both Courtney & Jackson as our phenomenal photographers and honestly, shoulders to lean on throughout our entire engagement season. There is TOO much to coordinate already that I cannot imagine having to work with photographers that I would have the slightest pinch of worry for their quality of work. This dream team covered eeeverything and more. Obviously their quality of work had me BEGGING them to shoot our wedding as we would be their first one after the "stay-at-home-order" lifted during COVID-19. Someone actually asked, "If you could choose this one family member to come to your wedding or Courtney & Jackson, who would you choose?" Unashamedly I said my photographers!!!  When these two said, "Yes", I burst into tears of joy and ultimate relief because I just wanted to know that our photography was covered in terms of... everything! Lighting, angles, experience, type of shots, relationship, catching those moments that no one sees, etc. In the time where we weren't sure if they were on board, I talked with 10 other photographers and didn't feel even close to confident trusting anyone else with our BIG DAY!!! I needed a team who I was 100% POSITIVE that they would deliver photos that are above and beyond my imagination. As expected, my photos are absolutely and undeniably breathtaking. I wish I could frame every single one all over my house. For your wedding, better "safest" than sorry. Our wedding photos were not an area we were willing to just let anyone do and I'm eternally grateful for our decision. We had the rarest opportunity to have them throughout our entire season of engagement starting from our proposal evening, our destination engagement shoot and a wedding (originally planned for Italy) re-planned in the middle of a pandemic! The biggest challenge was bringing our guest list down to such a few amount of people during COVID, but in the end, it was DREAM because we got quality time to spend with each person and to truly be present throughout the day.

Courtney and Jackson were hands-down the best investment we made in our wedding. Their photographs capture the moment perfectly and are so bright, natural, authentic, and full of light, while also being tasteful and timeless. Both Courtney and Jackson are so kind, warm, and funny, and go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed in these once-in-a-lifetime photos. They are pros, guiding you to find the best light and positions that are right for you, and go out of their way to make sure you are presenting yourself in the best way possible. On the day of our wedding, Jackson fixed my husband's hair with a comb and gel, and Courtney went out of her way to adjust my hair and dupatta veil repeatedly. Their attention to detail is unparalleled, and they make it so easy to get into the moment with your friends and family, and just have fun! We can't wait to have the opportunity to work with both of them again!

Just one example of their amazing work.

Buckle up, because this review will be pretty long. I refuse to mince words about how amazing Courtney and Jackson are. Would give 10 stars if I could. I hate taking photos. I'm also wildly shy and awkward, and I apparently don't know how to move my body like an actual human being. My (now) wife is also pretty shy. We don't do PDA. Having engagement and wedding photos aounds like it would be a complete nightmare, right? Wrong. Absolutely not the case with Courtney and Jackson. Firstly, the two exude genuineness. I've always assumed that hiring any sort of professional entailed a "strictly business" arrangement. Not here. When the task at hand requires you to be comfortable and intimate with your partner while someone you've just met takes photos of it, it's very easy to feel weird about it. From the very first moment I met Courtney, every fear I had was alleviated. She is WILDLY passionate about getting the best shots for you, and it's obvious in the giddy excitement she expresses in every shot. On the subject of genuineness, I wanted to say that many of our wedding guests felt the same way and expressed similar sentiments. The fact that pretty muxh everyone at our wedding were able to just have real conversations with Courtney and Jackson should signal to you that I'm not being hyperbolic. You will never get tired of hearing, "wow, I just spoke to your photographers for a long time and they are really damn cool." Courtney and Jackson are also absolute pros at what they do with an unbelievable amount of experience. They know exactly how to explain a pose or get you to understand what they're asking for. They are excellent timekeepers and have a clear understanding of what you're looking for. Every interaction both during and before the wedding is exemplary of someone who is truly dedicated and passionate about making sure you have an incredible event documented in exactly the ways you want. If you're on the fence about hiring these two, I hope this essay has convinced you to just do it. Seriously, just do it.

There is simply too much that I can write about Courtney & Jackson, but i'll do my best to condense it down for you.. yes you, I know you're looking for a photographer for whatever occasion, and just went through a million pages on TheKnot so let me help make the decision for you. Go with Photoflood Studio! Photography was one of our top priorities when diving into wedding planning. We were so flustered with all the things needed to be done, but once we got to know C&J and after our engagement shoot, we felt so much relief at what a rockstar duo we were working with. They went above and beyond, helping us with recommendations and answering our non-photography related questions. Regardless of how camera shy you may think you are, C&J makes it a breeze and joy. We genuinely loved the time spent with them and it never felt awkward. They are extremely organized, thorough, and responsive. You can really put your trust in them to work/think on their feet. Amongst the chaos of asian family photo's, C&J effortlessly maneuvered us and our family around, snapped the shots, and still managed to keep us on schedule. It pains me that I can give no more than 5 stars, because C&J deserve that and much more! We're really looking forward to the next opportunity to book a session (: Thank you, Courtney & Jackson for being you. You guys are the absolute best at what you do, keep it up! #lilliotwedding #inlovewiththekoko #steaaaaaaam

My husband and I are so incredibly lucky to have stumbled across the Photoflood Studio Instagram last year and we are even luckier to have had both Courtney and Jackson travel all the way to Vietnam to photograph our big day in April. People always say that your wedding day is a blur, and it's true. If it weren't for Courtney and Jackson I'm sure many of our wedding's moments would have slipped through our memories. From a pre-wedding photoshoot in Hoi An's Old Town, to getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids, to tearful vows, to wedding party speeches, and to the dancefloor, Courtney and Jackson were there for us not just on our wedding day but in the months leading up to it. They even emailed us guides and tips on how to handle destination wedding planning (something they're quite the experts at!) and made sure to give us our space post-wedding ceremony so we could absorb all of the love from each other, our family, and our friends. Not only that, but they made enormous effort to get to know us as a couple and our little love story -- this was a big thing for us as we wanted someone who could really capture our relationship. Throughout our various photoshoots in the sweltering heat of central Vietnam, my husband and I felt awkward because Courtney had laid the groundwork to make us feel as comfortable around her and the camera as possible (even as a gaggle of tourists cheered us on during ak kiss). We cannot imagine having anyone else as our wedding photographer and are so grateful to have become friends with such a sweet, humble, and amazing couple.

Courtney and Jackson are an incredible duo and I would recommend them without any hesitation! We found Photoflood Studio through theKnot and we are SO grateful to stumble across them. From the first meeting we had with Courtney to our first engagement shoot, we instantly fell in love with her energy and passion for photography. Throughout the process, Courtney was always responsive to all our questions and concerns. She made us feel comfortable, despite the fact that we were quite camera shy. She did an amazing job capturing all our special moments, with a good balance of candid and posed photos. One of our challenges during wedding planning was how to go about our jam packed timeline. However, Courtney gave us some tips and helped ensure us that we would get through everything as best as we can and improvise where needed. When it came wedding day, Courtney and Jackson did an awesome job at keeping an extremely stressful day as organized and composed as possible. Our families were quite demanding and chaotic, however, they were both able to organize everyone in a quick and polite manner. What's also awesome is that we got teaser photos after a week, which kept our wedding buzz going. I cannot stress enough how great Courtney and Jackson are! It really shows that they love what they do and you won't regret hiring them.

We booked Courtney for a very last minute Thursday city hall ceremony maybe 4-5 weeks before the date. Let me tell you. She was kind, helpful and professional from beginning to end. We arranged everything prior to the day of the ceremony entirely through email (Courtney responded to every single one promptly). She gave great recommendations for a makeup artist (Fiona of Urban Beauty Loft was excellent if you're looking!) that I eventually went with. She was an attentive listener and suggested many suitable locations for an outdoor shoot by the water after the ceremony. I felt completely at ease going into the day with Courtney, because she obviously knows her stuff! On the day of, Courtney basically played a coordinator AND a photographer for our group of 13, since none of us had been inside the SF City Hall before. She knew exactly how the process went (checking in, signing paperwork, ceremony at the rotunda, etc.) and where to go, and graciously guided our entire group through the next couple of hours. She knew where to get the best shots and which route to take to beat other groups to the gorgeous balcony on the top floor. Courtney seriously knows this beautiful building inside out! Also, her photography directions were full of humor and joy, we felt completely comfortable being lovey-dovey while she captured it on camera (and I think it shows, see photos). We took photos with our family and friends after the ceremony, and then sent everyone off for a break while we took a few more couple shots. She was so great with everybody, from our parents to our 2yr old niece, it felt like Courtney was part of our group. To end the day, we drove to Chrissy Fields for our second location (per Courtney's suggestion). It was freezing! But so worth it. We got lucky and caught some beautiful light right around Golden Hour. I don't know how we accomplished all that within 3 hours but I'm pretty sure Courtney had 90% to do with it. At the end of the day, husband and I talked about how much we loved that Courtney felt like a friend we invited who also happens to be really good at taking photos. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, look no further, we wholeheartedly recommend her!

Courtney is simply amazing!! Her photography really does speak for itself. She has this special talent that allows her to capture every couple's special moment. When we first saw Courtney's photos on instagram, we instantly fell in love. She has this way with lighting! Her photos look like it came right out of a magazine. When we contacted her, we knew immediately that we wanted to book her. You can tell that she really invests her time into her couples. She really cares about her couples!! Our favorite part about Courtney, other than her photography of course, is her bubbly personality!! She made us feel so unbelievable comfortable. IT felt like she was one of our best friends. You can tell that she loves her job and she LOVES love!! She is so passionate about her job. This was super important to us because she made us feel EVEN more excited about our special day. She made us feel like superstars! Our friends and family could not stop raving about her. Courtney sent us sneak previews of our photos the night of. It was such a nice surprise. Her photos were so beautiful and we loved them all! We can't wait to see the rest! We are so happy and lucky to have Courtney capture our day. We would hire her over and over again. I can't put into words how great Courtney is. Thank you, Courtney!

Courtney and Jackson were amazing to work with and I wouldn't just recommend them, I'm telling you here that you SHOULD work with them if you're looking for the best people to share your special day with. I originally reached out to these lovely two after they worked with a friend of mine for her and her husband's wedding. They were so fun and engaging [and the sneak peek photos i saw were so beautiful], that I knew we had to work with them if they were free. Throughout the entire process Courtney was incredibly responsive and amazing to work with. My husband and I aren't huge picture takers and tend to avoid the camera, but working with these two the whole thing felt super natural and exciting. Additionally, the pictures we've gotten back are beautiful and do an amazing job of capturing our special day. With wedding planning hindsight is always 20/20 and there are plenty of things that I could have changed, but I can safely say that if I could do things all over again, I'd pick Courtney and Jackson every time. Anyone would be lucky to work with these two. Only 5 stars here, but a solid 10/10!

One of our favs from our wedding day. This was done in 30 minutes while we snuck out during buffet time and nobody noticed!

Courtney and Jackson are unstoppable together! They are fun and easy to shoot with- and have great talent. We were adventurous and decided to do a one day trip from SF to Yosemite for our engagement shoot and they were more than down to go on the trip with us! They are surely dedicated to their work and do so in a fine manner. We loved working with their company- and are so happy with our engagement and wedding photos! Love love love, check them out.

Courtney was such a pleasure to work with on our engagement and wedding day photos! It's evident that she has refined her process over many years of experience of photographing weddings. She is so friendly, and her bright and fun personality definitely helped to ease our discomfort in front of the camera. I highly recommend the engagement shoot to get to know her and get comfortable being on camera before the big day. It ended up raining the entire week that we were scheduled to shoot our engagement photos. Rather than postponing the photos, we decided to move forward getting indoor shots at SF City Hall and SF Moma. Courtney was happy to accommodate us and really made the best of it. The photos turned out beautifully. Luckily, it was clear skies on our wedding day, and Courtney and Lindsay made a perfect day even more enjoyable. We have tons of beautiful photos to remember that day for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend working with her to capture your special day!

On the wedding day, Alina managed to capture the magic of all the details -- candid shots of our friends and family, snapshots of the venue and florals, and more. We had such a blast looking at the album; it was like reliving the day! The true joy, however, was sharing our photos with our family. They shared that the pictures were show-stopping and have repeatedly asked for prints for themselves! (Lots of, "and your photographer was just incredible, truly.") They cannot believe how spectacular our photos turned out, and we have to agree. Our jaws were on the floor looking through the album! Shooting with Alina was comfortable, too. I actually found Jennifer after searching online for photographers in San Francisco and her work immediately stood out. Her style felt fresh and unconventional -- more documentary and journalistic than traditional -- and I especially loved her use of black and white photography, which was a big reason we chose her. The day started at our hotel, where she jumped between our separate rooms to capture my wife and me getting ready. Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. The moment was absolutely incredible, and she handled everything; we didn't have to do a thing but follow her lead. That professional confidence continued at City Hall. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. As a photographer myself, I really appreciated her confidence and professionalism. All we had to do was follow instructions and be present. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. The technical skill here is top-notch-- the compositions were beautiful, the balance of each frame was spot-on, and her gorgeous color grading. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive. When we received the final package, we were so touched -- she sent our photos on a beautiful USB drive along with printed images, some sweets, and other thoughtful details. It was the perfect finishing touch to a genuinely wonderful experience. If you're getting married at City Hall -- or anywhere in San Francisco -- Jennifer Michelson / A Girl and a Camera is exceptional. Thank you Jennifer! Laura and Junior.

When we reached out, he responded so quickly and answered all our questions right away. For our engagement shoot, it was my husband's first time doing a formal photoshoot. Augie came very prepared, offered great tips, and made us feel completely at ease. He was so easy to talk to and work with, and we genuinely had such a fun time with him! He was also flexible with timing and weather to make sure we could get the best lighting. I had shared our (very full) itinerary with him ahead of time, and I was surprised to notice that he knew it by heart. When we started running behind, he gently but efficiently helped move things along. Even though it was his first time at our venue, he had an incredible eye for finding perfect spots, turning a simple fence into a magical backdrop.
