I signed my daughter up with VODAFONE St Andrews and knowing she would want to make regular calls back to the US (where we are based) I asked for a International call plan option. - Silly me, I did not triple check the contract and it was not until I went back to review my credit card bill did I notice the $100's of charges from Vodafone for international calls. At no point did Vodafone notify me or my daughter (via email or SMS) of the extra charges (I know it is my fault for not checking the bill each month) but when I finally checked and noticed the charges I contacted Vodafone hoping they could assist me. Vodafone's response was tell me to go back to the store and speak with the sales rep. As I live in the US (the contract is in my name) and given usual turnover of store reps I did not see this a being very helpful. - PLEASE NOTE - Vodafone offers a GBP 7.50 monthly int call plan. They are charging me $100's for a service that costs $10. They are not paying a 3rd party, they are simply increasing the price of the calls by 2000%. In the US carriers will immediately notify you if you have unusual bill activity and provide options. Come on Vodafone you can do MUCH better than this.

It's a place where you can trade in games, DVDs, mobile phones and other electronic equipment. They also sell all of these things, with some great prices. You could spend £10 and come out with a lot of things if you hunt hard enough. People will so often discredit buying pre-owned items, but for prices as low as those offered by Cex, it's difficult to say no! This time, I just popped in for a browse, though I will be visiting there next time I want a cheap film or the like. I wonder how long it will be before someone trades in an iPhone 4? Quite small, with a great selection of phones and consistantly good offers, this is where I choose to come and buy my mobiles every time (and I go through quite a few, I am prone to phone dropping!) The staff even stand out on the streets on sunny days and try and get you to go in, like some weird Spanish restaurant owner on holiday. Quite unusual for a run of the mill phone shop, but I suppose the staff in here just love thier jobs!
