Gone are the days when employees seemed to know what they are selling, so don't have any questions. And, don't go in the middle of a time crunch because the wait is long for everything. Giovanni replaced it perfectly. Good as new. Of course it was expensive but a heckuvalot more affordable than a new laptop! I was worried I wouldn't find a competent technician for this kind of delicate sophisticated electronics out here in the sticks, so I'm thrilled that 2nd Life could do this job and do it well. I guess I thought I'd have to take my laptop to Westchester or NYC, which would be pretty time consuming. I want to add that the first screen he received failed while still in his shop. So he had to order and install a second one, and I don't think he charged me any different even though it had to have been ~double the labor time. Plus - he obviously checked his work. And, he apologized for the delay, even though he didn't cause it. I don't know about you but a lot of things nowadays, people take shortcuts or don't care about the quality of work or just fail to do the simplest little checks to assure a job is done right. I found this business on Yelp but with no reviews so I was a little skeptical. I texted Nick, the owner and I checked his Facebook page and found he had all good reviews. I made plans for him to come to my home which he did promptly at the designated time. He sat in his car for about 20 minutes to replace the screen. When he returned from his car my phone was perfect.
