Brian was extremely friendly coming out to start the process, and the timeline went along exactly like promised. All of my texted questions were immediately answered. The final product is a really quality, sturdy and strong gate. The materials are top-notch. And I'm really happy with the appearance since it was not against a vertical wall on one side. I love the design that matches the breeze block wall it's up against. I absolutely recommend this company.

Talked with Brian, set up an appointment for him to stop by the house. When he showed up we talked about what I wanted, showed him pics of gates I liked. He measured where the gates were. Talked about gate style & colors & came up with a final design. Put a deposit down in May & waited from that point on. The process of fabricating the gates takes awhile (months) besides their business having other clients to take care of. I understood this & was good with the wait. It all worked out, in the meantime I had refinanced my house & had the funds to cover the cost instead of using a credit card. These gates cost a bit more but these will last a lifetime! I am soooooo happy with the end result! Great looking, WORKING, gates that add value & security to my home. Thank you Brian & crew at Fusion Metalworks!

The control arms arrived in the condition described on the website (refurbished). The front beam, however, was clearly used--and worst of all, it was rusting from the inside. The product page for the beam stated that it was manufactured to original specs. The photos showed a brand-new beam, and nowhere on the page did it say it was used, refurbished, or that I should expect damage. I received the beam on a Friday night and emailed them Sunday night to say it was damaged and that I needed to return it. Aside from AI-generated email responses and an AI phone answering system, I wasn't able to talk to anyone for about a month. During that time, the company changed the product description online to support their claim that what I ordered was a used beam and that they would not accept a return. Here's the proof: https://web.archive.org/web/20251112090256/https://www.vintagev-dubs.com/shop/stock-bare-beams-for-replacement-for-bus-1970-1979/ Compare it with the current description: https://www.vintagev-dubs.com/shop/stock-bare-beams-for-replacement-for-bus-1970-1979/ After a lot of back-and-forth, they said they would refund me but charge a 20% restocking fee, which I declined. I ended up filing a PayPal claim with proof of their dishonesty and unwillingness to issue a full refund. During that process, they made me another offer--only a $200 refund . They even tried to lie to PayPal by claiming I was okay with the item at first and that I didn't request a refund until weeks after receiving it. I proved that wasn't true with my email records. In the end, PayPal had to step in and review the case. They contacted the vendor, and the vendor then agreed to a full refund. I returned the beam within a few days. They received it, but never communicated that to PayPal. PayPal ultimately resolved the case in my favor because it was clear I was dealing with a dishonest company that doesn't give a cr*p about its customers. This is clear--just look at their reviews from other customers describing the same issues. I should've done my due diligence and looked for reviews before purchasing. Lesson learned.
