I bought a bottle of wine... a 2002 bottle of Cab for only $45. I mean really! Granted it wasn't Napa but Sonoma is just as good. But today, I had to go back because I tried a wine that blew me away.... Oberon Napa County Cab. For two for $50 you can't beat the price. I grabbed the last two . But this place is a gold mine. I give it 4 stars ONLY because of the safety hazard. Other than that, I mean this really is a 5 star place. If you haven't been, GO! The old lines of the finest alcoholic beverages are gonna have a bit of dust on em, hell even your local Kroger is gonna have alcohol with dust on it. Plus Vikings Blood is 30 plus dollars no matter where you look and same goes for here. Anyways they have all kinds of alcohol and the stacks of bottles up to the ceiling, it gives a cool vintage look, fitting for it's history. Ultimately I believe if anyone is looking for a specific kind go here cause I bet 100% you'll find it here.

The stock looks well taken care of as nothing on the floor is dusty and nothing in the cooler has that wet/damp cardboard feel (that's how you know a six pack carrier has been in the cooler too long). I've been back here a number of times and I've never bought anything that was past it's prime. I can't stress the importance of having fresh stock when it comes to beer, and so far, I've not been disappointed. There's also a gigantic wine and liquor selection, but I'm mostly here for the beer! The prices are also decent. Nothing that I've seen has been overpriced, and nothing seems under priced. Even the seasonal releases (Bell's Special Double Cream Stout for example) were priced right. I can't believe that I just discovered Wine Village! I just moved, so I'm even closer now, so this will likely be my go to spot on the way home for weekend stock-ups.

I snagged a bottle of 2004 Domaine Trimbach for a little under $20. Considering this is a real riesling and not that crap they sell at Meijer, I was pretty happy and very surprised. I would suggest RLS if you're looking for wine - though Embassy is substantially larger, they seem to be more interested in stocking beers. Ah hell, check out both. For example, this past weekend I noticed a 4 pack of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. I've never tried this beer, but have heard good things. The problem was the price - $23.99/4 pack! I asked if they would consider breaking the 4 pack and they did! No problem. On top of that, the guy behind the counter said he would take one home to try so we could compare notes.
