I had two Web sites for my business, one for Home Inspections and the other one for Mold testing…read more The sites were built in early 2009, to what was known to be what Google was looking for, back then - lots of content and links out to other sites. They worked, but outdated and needed a update. I shopped around; hired one guy that built the Home Inspection site, took him six months but never finished the job. Hired a second person that said no problem, easy peasy lemon squeezy but he never got started on the Job an ended up saying the site was to complex for his skill level. I was referred to Phil McKeown, we talked over a Coffee, I explained my needs and concerns. I check out a Site or two he worked on and earlier this year Phil helped me build a new website for my business. I had a ton of content from my previous site - he helped pull out, reorganize and highlight the most important stuff. Feel free to check it out, within 6 months we were getting nice page ranking on Google - I'm Back on first page in several areas and it's only getting better. http://alatisinspectionservice.com/ Google Local / Plus - I had also hired a company to help with my online presents. It was a complete mess, more than what I could handle. I asked Phil about looking into my accounts on Google, he helped me combine 3 different Google Business accounts: 1 had the right address, 1 had my reviews and the last was connected to YouTube. It was a lot more complicated than I thought, but Phil made sure nothing was lost. That was really important since I'd lost reviews in the past with that last company I hired. Finally Phil's been helping with my approach to social media, specifically Facebook. He's advised on the best approach to take with both my business and personal accounts to help increase exposure and reach. More so I feel that when I call Phil, it is like I'm his most important customer (although I see the big corporate names he represents and my company is small frys in comparison). Feel free to contact me if you have concerns about hiring MCKEOWN MARKETING - Happy to talk!

This got the phone to start ringing and estimate requests to start being submitted through the website by the exact clients we were looking to do business with. And it was all done for me. My husband and I own MistAmerica, and for 25 years our business has come mainly from word-of-mouth. However, with the closures of restaurants and hotels, we needed to reach homeowners. To do that, we needed new marketing strategies, and needed to foray into social media. Valerie offered us invaluable feedback on commercials, videos, targeting prime audiences, and, most notably, how to use Facebook and Instagram. My husband and I are both "Boomers" and I admit we were SLOW on the uptake! Valerie was uber patient, helping us along every step of the way. Her 15+ years of experience and her keen eye were tremendous resources. We would have been more than satisfied if we had hired and paid for her excellent services, but to have received them gratis and generously throughout this difficult time was more than we could have hoped for. We pray that her generosity comes back to her in spades.

During the first heat wave to hit Boston my site was loading at a extremely slow speed of 28 seconds per page! Unfortunately I was the one to notice the slow speeds, not Rocket Media the company I paid to host my site. After a few agonizing days of zero response I removed Rocket Media from hosting and Controlling my site. Responses from the Owner telling me that I was a " Web Developer" were uncalled for and unnecessary. It showed me that customer service and the mind set of the owner to provide a great customer service were non existent. After a few more agonizing days of unnecessary delays in moving my site, Rocket Media finally moved it. I will close on my experience- I will say that when I informed Rocket Media that the page loads were in excess of 28 seconds per page. Rocket Media moved the site from one host to another. The Cloud host from where the site was moved had zero reported issues. Yet I was charged to move the site! Pretty funny how I can spend $750 dollars per month in hosting my site and then be billed because it's not working correctly! I know when I am being jerked around!
