A few weeks later, when I found out my precious Golden Retriever was very sick, this brochure popped back into my mind right away. I needed to have a memorial portrait created. I contacted Stephen by email and told him of my situation. He responded quickly and we set up a time to meet. I needed to set something up fairly quickly before my boy became much sicker. Unfortunately, even though we were able to make an appointment that very week, Sam did get worse. In desperation I contacted Stephen to let him know I wasn't sure if Sam would be able to make the appointment. In less than an hour, Stephen contacted me back and let me know he had rearranged his afternoon schedule so that Sam and I could have our session. Truthfully I didn't really expect to be in the portrait with Sam. I just wanted to capture him as he was. What Stephen produced, however, was so much more than that. Sam passed away just two days after that portrait session. If Stephen hadn't been so quick to respond to me, I would have lost the entire opportunity. For that I will be forever greatful...but you're not reading this review to find out how kind and compassionate an artist he is and I am going on! Stephen captured a moment between Sam and I that just caught the spirit of our relationship in one image. I knew it from the moment I saw it. Not only that, but the painting is so realistic it brings Sam closer to me than any other memorial has been able to do. Obviously I just can't say enough positive about Stephen Moody's work and I regret there aren't more stars to give. You won't be disappointed, and the treasure he can create for you will be worth every dollar you spend...
