Really great food that was served quickly. We sat in the deck with the view. The steaks were exceptional and well priced. read more

Australian Hotel
I can't say enough about The Australian Hotel to do it justice…read more We held our pre-wedding Welcome drinks here last Friday and ordered their party platters also. The food was incredible. They had a great range of vegetarian options and a combination of fresh, cooked, and fried foods to suit all of our guests' tastes. They set up the top veranda for us with white table cloths, water jugs, chairs for the kids and elderly. The staff was on top of everything, taking drink orders so our guests didn't have to trek downstairs to the bar, and kept topping up the platters so we always had fresh food. They were attentive and ready to take orders without getting in the way. The hotel has been renovated recently and it shows. Everything was spotless, super clean including the bathrooms. If anyone is considering having a get together of any sort in Gympie I (& I know all of our guests would agree) highly recommend checking out The Australian Hotel.

The orange almond cake was moist and not too dense: very nice. The frittata was a bit bland and missed a stronger flavored ingredient. So as a birthday present to my girlfriend (and maybe myself too :P) I decided to book out a two hour double package. No doubt this place is expensive but it is also amazing so you won't find yourself whinging about it afterwards. The service is professional and friendly and the grounds and gardens are incredible. It was all in all a very warm and relaxing atmosphere and memorable experience topped of with a glass of complimentary champagne in the gardens at the end. The actual massages were fantastic and probably the best I've ever had. My girlfriend loved it as a present and was very grateful.... Winning
Not only a great place to stay, what with fully equipped mini-apartments and views directly onto…read morethe William Heck Reserve but ... are you ready for this - a great restaurant on the premises. Little Hastings has a delectable menu with flavours as exotic as the surroundings. The wine menu is acceptable but does reach the bounds of both low end and high end wines. Forget worrying about restaurants in Noosa when the best quality is at your hotel. Now back to the hotel - in Outrigger fashion, the rooms are well appointed. However, one major fault. There is no door between the bathroom and the bedroom. My bride and I love each other but there are some things we simply do not like to "share". Perhaps our room was a one-of-a-kind. Other than that, I highly recommend the place. Expensive but worth it.
