I just want to point out to you, that your social worker Julie is an absolute angel. Her caring a concern for my loved one was not forced, it was not fake, it was absolutely genuine and obviously so. It took me a couple of visits to decide on the nurse Jessica and how I felt but by the end of the second visit she too had my respect. It's for the rest of our experience I have mixed emotions but it's not due to any fault of theirs. Having been a healthcare worker myself it makes you more attentive to detail and more critical probably. But I did want to say that Julie is probably the best social worker I have ever worked with. Our doctor ordered my husbands bandages be changed 3 times a week and the insurance approved it for 9 weeks. Phoenix tell us that they will only come for 1 month. The first two weeks they came three times, and they say that the next week they will only come twice and then the next week once and then we will have to do the health care on our own. They say this even though the insurance company says that they will pay for three times a week. Why do we need them at all if they cannot fulfill the orders? read more

If I could give this company a zero, I would. I was a home care RN for 11yrs. I understand the rules & regs of homecare very well. This company provides than zero care, compassion or quality care. My Moms RN failed to fill her med box for whatever reason and this put her in the ER for blood pressures 210's/110's. They performed multiple tests to find that because she did not receive her blood pressure medications, she was highly elevated causing this ER visit. When I notified the director of Phoenix in Springfield, he made excuses and proved that he did not care. Stay far far away from this inadequate home care company all the way; including RN's, care provider's and inappropriate discussion of care with their director. They have such a high turnover that they will hire just about anyone off the street. You really never know who is coming to your home to take care of your loved one. I will NEVER recommend Phoenix for home health care to anyone I know. Might I add a suggestion that I know you won't listen to or take... be more rigorous in your interview process, require more of your employees. PAY THEM BETTER!!!! Offer benefits after 90 days, not a year! Offer incentives. Train them better, then require further training classes twice a year to make sure they are fluent in their care skills so your clients are getting the best quality. If the employee has to come in on a day they normally work to do the training make sure that there is another employee waiting to take their place at their clients home while they do the training. Do not require your employee to go to training leaving the client high and dry and without service. Stop having these mandatory " training meetings" That are basically office parties in disguise where you teach nothing to your employees and it's basically a popularity contest. read more

I worked for this company for about a month and I've never worked for a company as bad as this one, they OVERWORK you because of very low employees and underpay you for the amount of work you do , it's all about the money for them they don't care ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES they only care about clients which make sense considering it's a revolving door and they lose both. I went to one of your clients homes and honestly her house was in a disgusting state! Your employee stated she was had to be there 4 hrs, all I saw her do was sit on her ass and pour some bleach down her toilet!! I understand you only do light duty cleaning but how hard is it to wipe down countertops and get a couple of cobwebs?!!?.. Gross!! read more

NOT ALL MIND YOU, BUT MOST. could not find a lower rating for them. in nine months they have not done a full staffing for my grandson more then once or twice. Called to complain, went up and complained in person. called again told them their caregivers are afraid to talk to them cause they can fire them while i told the owner I could fire them. He took it just like the little boy he is "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" actually he said that he would consider that we were giving them notice and that in three weeks he would pull his help. waiting to hear from medicaid worker and as soon as they can get someone to cover the hours, we are done with Phoenix hopefully before the three weeks little boy Phil gave us. read more

PHOENIX has almost done me in twice, by mismanaging my medications. And it may seem funny(to everyone else but me). But the Great & Very wise state of Missouri Department of Senior Services will not allow me to switch Health Care Providers. If I could give these guys less than one star, I certainly would. My grandma just went through a mastectomy. Cox South set her up to have Phoenix come tend to her drains and dressings before she even left the hospital, and told us we should expect to hear from them the day she was discharged. We didn't hear from them until three days later. The nurse, Greta, was an incompetent b*+¢#! She did not read my grandma's chart and knew nothing about her or her procedure. She just ripped my grandma's dressing off and tore two of her sutures, causing it to get inflamed and start oozing.. then she just slapped the same dressing back on and put another piece of tape on it. My grandma had not complained once about pain until Greta ripped her dressing off. Now my grandma is complaining of pain and her incision is inflamed and oozing. We took her to the doctor today, and she showed me how to properly care for her drain and dressings. We have fired Phoenix. If you care for your loved ones at all, do not let Greta anywhere near them. read more
