Could have been multiples reasons for this unfortunately. It's definitely a place you want to visit if you are in Bryan or CS. It's a huge store and there is something there for everyone. They also make their own rich sanitizer and spray which smells heavenly. It's quiet pricey, but you could split a bottle with a friend. I'll absolutely go back. This company is absolutely the best when it comes to installing sunrooms…read more The price was right, the service was great, and an added benefit of having a sunroom enclosure on the back of our house is that it provides a buffer between harsh cold weather and our house. The temperature differences between the outside of the sunroom and the interior of the sun room runs between 15-20 degrees. This is a boon to our energy costs. The sunroom also shields us from extreme heat - our air conditioner does not kick in as often. On top of this, the after-service was great. The installation team came out and adjusted our sliding door lock so it works perfectly. Highly recommend this company.

TL;DR Best floor store in the area, and arguably in the state!…read more I bought carpet and vinyl plank from this store. First of all, they have a huge selection, and the prices are lower than what you will find in big box stores during discounts. The store inside looks just like a regular warehouse - they specialize in floors and it seems that they mean business without jacking up prices for a "nicer" looking store. They will let you take samples home, so you could look at how it looks like in the intended space which was a tremendous thing for us, first time homeowners! They will walk you through everything and give genuine advice, regardless of whether this means you won't buy the more expansive stuff. The employees are courteous, and it seem like the owner, David, treats them well. That in turn shows in their care for the customers. What really amazed me though, is when I told David that the carpet I bought from him past week got stolen, he offered to sell me the same carpet again with no markup! This shows he really cares about his customers! I will definitely recommend this store to all my friends, and will definitely buy from them again in the future!

They carry a brand called mohawk which is apparently extremely highly rated and durable. I wanted to think about it and came back and spoke to Will, who was extremely helpful and pleasant. He let me take their floor samples home to see how they would look! Unfortunately the colors available did not match my house. However, Will was able to help me find a really nice carpet for my stairs and home office. It is pet proof, as well! It feels so soft walking on the "Heritage" carpet and the coloring is such that dirt won't show. They were also cheaper than the carpet I had originally planned on getting. Will made the experience so easy! I had never heard of them before, but I am glad my house painter mentioned them. I strongly recommend them.

Ace Handyman Service got the job done, yes, but it did not go as smooth as I would have hoped. I…read morecalled for them to install a new outdoor shed as a doghouse for my fiance's dog for when she moves in. Theresa, the woman I spoke to at their office, ensured me that there would be proffesionals working on this project and gave me a hefty but reasonable quote based on the projected hours that the 2 men would spend building the shed. The quote was around $2,000 and it was constantly repeated that the price was based on the hourly rate. Honestly that's a pretty steap price for building a shed. I had no free time to do this project on my own as I was planning a wedding, still in the process of moving, and preparing for a baby to be born on top of my full time job. I now wish that I bit the bullet on that one and did it myself because I would have saved myself $3,600. These proffesionals were constantly complaining about the manual and claiming that the instructions were wrong (in my line of work this is common for people that just can't figure it out and want to blame the product for their own lack of understanding). If it was hard to understand, I don't get why they sent 6 different people to work on this thing, anyone who's led a project in construction before knows that when things get handed to other people constanly it gets messy, and the new people have to play catch up trying to pick up where the last people left off. This makes sense when you realize that they make more based on how long they take on the project. Not only this but there are several spots where screws are supposed to go where there aren't, meaning on the finished product there are gaps between the floor and the walls. I understand that it's hot outside and sometimes the heat can take a lot out of you, but as someone who works on residential and commercial air conditioners for a living (meaning spending the bulk of time on rooftops or attics where the heat is amplified), the guys could suck it up. It honestly seemed like most of the time when I checked on the guys working on the shed, they were either reading the manual for excessive periods of time, complaining about the heat, or complaining about how some auto shop was trying to screw them over by selling them an overpriced service. (Ironic, huh). The property owner here where I live also reported to me that there were pieces of our seperate project that were taken by the individuals working on the project. I don't doubt that we'll get them back, but I do feel that it's worth mentioning. All in all the job did get done, the shed absolutely did get built, but they dragged their feet a bit, I paid way more than initially planned, and the final product could have been a little more refined.
