Bad experience. Waited for almost 1 hour for 4 bowls of rice noodles. There was only two staffs working for cooking and serving so that's why they were so slow. Additionally, the Vietnam rice noodles neither taste as the same as I ate in Vietnam before nor like in others Vietnam pho restaurants.. (I am a fans of Vietnam rice noodles actually) Anyway, there's nice environment and the owner ( one of the only two staffs) was busy but nice..As the result,I give 3 stars.

Corner brook is a nice town and pho Vietnam is also a nice place. It is my first time to corner brook and because I am unfamiliar with the area I had a hard time finding the restaurant. There were a lot of people eating so i immediaty figured i found a good spot for lunch. I ordered the beef birds nest. The serving size was huge. The quality was good too.

Dropped in a year after our initial visit and the quality of the food has drastically fallen. We ordered 4 plates and an appetizer and all of them were disgusting. The avocado in the avocado salad were bad, brown and bland. The 2 Pho soups were gross, the other 2 plates were also terrible. A lack of protein in the meals was evident. Hardly any to be honest. Way over priced and sad to say that this place has gone from a 5 star rating roughly a year ago to the complete opposite during this visit. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had paying and eating Vietnamese food. Poor service by the owner. Do not get the chicken Singapore Noodles. Horrible tasting and there was very little chicken. She says she grinds it up and that's the way it is served. I told her no way. This was poor food court sholp, way over priced and I hated it. I love the food here, it's my favourite place to dine in the city. Service is always with a smile. Unfortunately lately there is nobody to greet you when you walk-in and you are left waiting for someone to come out of the kitchen to see you. Last time I was there I waited about 5 min. The food isn't what it used to be either. But over all I still love this place. read more

Don't let the exterior of this restaurant fool you - you're missing out if you don't go here. I've had the pad thai, pho, spring rolls, wontons & some other thing - and they're all very good. You'll have to be a bit patient as they're understaffed slightly, but your patience will be rewarded. Also, I've thought about the fact that someone from St. John's would be excited to come to Corner Brook for a restaurant they don't have & that cracks me up. read more
I did not know this place existed prior to my last visit to Corner Brook. It has been in the area for years though. It is now inside the Coleman's building. I had the House Special XL meal, which seemed a popular choice on a travel site where I was reading reviews. The food is authentic Vietnamese fare - fresh, not over seasoned, with great flavor. The highlight of my meal was the spring rolls. They were fantastic. They had more of a ground/paste filling than I have had in spring rolls before - I usually find this texture of filling in egg rolls - but it was really great. They had to be the tastiest spring rolls I have ever had. I will most definitely make this a regular stop on all my visits to the area. read more

Love this place. Cathy (the owner) provides great service, and is the sweetest lady who is getting better all the time at communication - English isn't her first language. The Sate soup is a must, the pad Thai is always solid, the avocado salad is great, and the lemon grass chicken is a personal favorite. The quality never wavers and the prices are extremely fair. If placing a take out order we usually have enough leftovers for lunch the next day as well. Would wholeheartedly recommend! read more

Food was ok but not great. Service was good. Clean washroom but poor location ( right off dining area).

Very fresh food and huge portions. You definitely get what you pay for. The whole family loved the stir fry as well as some of the other traditional dishes. We will definitely be coming again. read more

Fantastic southern Vietnamese cuisine. Affordable food and a lovely owner make for a great meal. The pho is yummy and the ginger beef is out of this world. Small restaurant and you have to be a bit patient - but it's well worth the wait. read more

Owner is very nice and accommodating. Quality of the food is great and tasty. Service is fast. Small selection of beer that is interesting and well chosen to compliment the Vietnamese cuisine. Has relocated to the Coleman building just off Broadway where Arthur James store is. Nicer than last location, still modest. The food is great.... Remember you're there for the food.... Love the oriental music playing in the background. Did I mention the owner is a real sweet heart who is well educated and very focused on the quality of her food.... Maybe more than once, she deserves the praise. read more

Wish I could give this restaurant a 0, this is not authentic and is the worst pho I have ever had. The broth is probably from the grocery store and the noodles looked like hay. Don't even get me started on what they call "meat." Would not recommend. read more

Fun Ky was a delicious surprise. Do not drive by this place. The food is delicious and absolutely home-cooked. We had a couple of luncheon combination plates, great rice, good portions. Everyone else in the restaurant had the Vietnamese soup with noodles. Next time I'll try that. read more

Located inside the Coleman Shopping Center. Excellent quality food and good service. Try the "Saigon" beer.

From Calgary, visiting family. we eat vietnamese regularly in Calgary. When we came to Pho Viet Nam the place was very busy (max seating is 35) and the one server was just taking an order from a group of eight teens, so we were anticipating a wait. The server was buzzing around everywhere and at first I thought she was a bit cold but she was just focusing on the task at hand and it quickly became clear she was on top of stuff. She was pleasant but rushed when she sat us, took our order, etc. We ordered cold rolls, Tom Yum with chicken and shrimp and Sate Chicken. Like I said was expecting a wait but the food was out shortly. So with Pho you know it's about the broth and the broth was really, really nice and rich. So much so that I almost ordered a second bowl of Tom Yum for myself, though My wife managed to leave me enough to satisfy me, so I'll wait for now. The cold rolls were good and fresh as well. Excellent food, and the service was good. I was feeling impressed the one lady managed as well as she did with a close to full house by herself as everyone around us seemed happy and pleased. Half way through the meal some jerk next to us went over the top to complain about a missed order, poking his fingers in the server's face to say, "Two! We ordered two!" Which totally ruined the vibe for us and for her. The server was really upset and told us as we were paying that that was the first time anyone spoke to her like that. Will definitely go back again before returning to Calgary. No dessert menu. read more

Awesome pho and spring rolls, but the chicken vermicelli combo is my favourite! Great lunch time take out. Service is incredibly fast. I didn't even wait 10 minutes to leave with my order for 3 people. I will definitely be back. read more
