I had just returned from a long and busy business trip to Alaska and had a craving for Pho, and was waiting for an excuse to try Pho Ly Ly. What a great choice, we arrived at opening and picked our seat, then the food experience began. The jasmine iced tea with lime was a new but refreshing drink, and the Thai tea was excellent and very sweet, the surrounding was comfortable, and the service was great. Our appetizer was egg rolls which had a sauce, but the egg roll itself, let me repeat the egg roll itself was definitely of the best we've had crunchy on the outside, and the filling beef and carrots was the star piping hot, ohhh we're off to a great start. I had the 39 Beef Pho it was all different kinds of beef tendons tripe, and thinly sliced red onions, which brought a different flavor and depth to the dish. My wife had the Pork Chop that was marinated to perfection, so tender and moist, we were warned that it take extra time to prepare but was well worth the wait, and that sausage that came with it was delicious. This restaurant is a must try, as there Pho can stand with any restaurant, but that egg roll and pork chop gives them there own signature. read more

This is a small family own restaurant. So don't expect big hype meals . Comfort food is what on the menu. Come hungry and you won't be disappointed. Words can't explain how much I love this place. I pass up a pho restraunt in lafayette and drive to New Iberia to get my fix. I may be bais cause I popped my Pho cherry here but, the staff is amazing and willing to take the time and explain items on menu. With that said, N00bs fear not, you are in good hands. The noodles and meat are plentiful. the vietnamese po-boys are to die for. All ingredients are top notch fresh. Also over the past year the cut of meat has risen in quality 10 fold. If you are looking for something a little different tired of the same ole fried louisiana food eat here you are crazy not to. Its a block or two from the wonderful downtown area of New Ibera. Even though its Vietnamese food it will remind you in ways of our Louisiana cuisine. Louisiana and Vietnam share some many things in common. The restraunt is very clean. the staff is great. the food is good. Very comfortable atmosphere. the price is amazing I was actually shocked how cheap it was my last visit. My girl and I got two apps, pot of tea, specialty drink, Pho, Bun, and coffee. With tip under 30 dollars and we had leftovers to eat the next day. anyone on yelp who has browsed my yelp page knows I dont give 5 stars to just anybody, and I kind of harsh on my reviews. I travel a great deal and frequently seek out Pho restaurants. I found this on Yelp and the reviewers we pretty close. I ordered the #31, beef Pho with eye of round and brisket. The flavor was good and the round was good but the brisket was very fatty. I'm not a fan of that so won't order that again. The place was easy to find and decor was nice. Service was quick and friendly. The "3" rating come from the fatty brisket and the $9.50 is high for lunch in comparison to the many other Pho restaurants I've found. This may be rare in this part of LA so I guess they can get a higher price. I'll probably give them a second chance when I come back this way. read more
