Naturally the place is looking good as not long opened and the service and food just as good as the other one. We sampled several of their heavenly delights...the Taichi, black sesame and walnut paste with rice balls ; the Mango Sago Pomelo with Jelly . All were spot on and tasted just as good and tickled the taste buds in the right way as the desserts we had tried out east. Only thing is I am longing to try one of their molecular deserts....they look so good on the menu but alas not available as yet. A bit more costly but probably worth every extra dollar. All in all yet again a big thumbs up for me if you looking for somewhere to go for a decent sweet treat.

As I mentioned there is drinks galore using all kinds of chocolate. ..white, dark etc...and you can get hot drinks in either a normal mug or in one sitting atop a candle to keep it warm for you. I have been here before and at times seating is minimal and hard to find if too busy...and as for the service it is very good. All in all if you want to indulge after a heavy bout of retail therapy this is just the place or if you want to indulge for the sake of it. I say try it....and forget the diet for a moment!!!

I didn't like it. I felt like I was sitting in a child's playhouse. Overall the quality of the sorbet and gelato is very good, my favourite is the mango sorbet, sweet and smooth, wonderful flavour. My friend had the crepes and thoroughly enjoyed them, so no complaints with food at all. The only let down here would be the premises itself, my suggestion is to grab your gelato and go.

I love this....my "physique", not so much ;) Entering here is basically like entering Whoopie Pie Heaven. They've taken an American classic and added a kiwi twist with flavours such as Hokey Pokey Chocolate, Anzac Cookie, Tangelo and Mixed Berry, Lamington...and the list goes on. They have two pie sizes, too, depending on your hunger/sweet tooth levels. "Whoopie Pops" are also on offer- a mixture of the pie and filling dipped in white chocolate. [Side note: make sure you go on an empty stomach because one Whoopie pie is filling!] We tried the 'Heroic' whoopie pie which is hazelnut and chocolate flavoured and the 'Playful' whoopie pie which consists of peanut butter and chocolate chunks. A raspberry chocolate croissant, a chocolate brioche, and a canele topped my plate. The canele was my highlight, crispy and sweet on the outside and gooey on the inside. The brioche was freshly warm and soft but not too rich. The croissant was on the verge, somewhat stale around the edges but still enjoyable. The ups: these pastries and the olive bread were delicious. Prices are very reasonable too, only $10 all up for the three sweets. La Voie Francaise also boasts an inviting atmosphere that's relaxing but well kempt. The downs: I'm not convinced by these tastings that La Voie is all the rage, but that's probably just because I've been spoiled by the French market in Parnell. They have hot or cold desserts and drinks and much more than just chocolate - like lemon tarts, apple crumble, carrot cake; and all sorts of other things like numerous hot chocolate drink flavors, teas and coffees too. This shop sells what I consider the best hot chocolate you'll ever taste called the Italian Denso. It is thick, rich and decadent hot chocolate with whipped cream on top and chocolate flakes. Think of it as a cup of a molten lava cake. And the best part, nobody will judge you for drinking your dessert. Okay, maybe SOME skinny model from LA? But she isn't here!
