If you do go there know that parking is on side street if you can find it but your good for like 3 hours there if you want a parking lot I found a spot one block over from the store that was like 75 cents for 45 min.

I used to go to Jason to cut my hair at Stagliano's, and when I found out he bought his own shop in Phoenixville, I started making the drive over there instead. He charges less than Stagliano's, and the vibe of the shop is much better. Jason's a good guy and a good barber. Does what's asked of him and does it well. I guess since getting his own shop, Jason started using an appointment system. In all my years in a barber shop I've never experienced this, but having used it now for a while, I'm a fan. You can book an appointment either a few weeks in advance, or you can call the same day a lot of the times, especially during less busy days. It's actually been really good, especially since there is only one barber here most of the time, and it's resulted in a lot less wasted time for me waiting behind 2 or 3 other guys. I do think he also takes walkins, but imho, no need for that when you can easily call in and get a same day appointment. Overall I like this place. Haircuts are within the normal price range ($15), Jason does a good job cutting hair and he's a nice guy to boot. Good to see a nice guy venture into business for himself, and do well.

However, I was 10 minutes late because a prior appointment went 40 min over and I was only able to call 5 min before that I'd be 10 min late. This was okay with the place thankfully as I had spent a pretty penny on their ViP shave even though it was with a gift card. Even with the gift card I still "paid" for that through a charity auction. The shave was so smooth and with their specialized product that I did not need to stretch my face skin taut (I had to look this up for the phrase or word for this. There is no word for this lol). at. all. Today, I called because my GPS indicated it would take 30 minutes longer than usual to get there. I thought it was courteous to let them know I was going to be late. The woman, Jill, who answered the phone, immediately had an attitude with me and bluntly stated that if I was 15 minutes late, they couldn't do anything. I remained polite, even though she treated me like I was trying to inconvenience her or sneak something by running late. I drove like crazy, and it turns out that the accidents Google had reported must have cleared up. I arrived at my 12:00 PM appointment at 12:02, only to find out that Jill had canceled my appointment without asking me and told me, "There was nothing they could do about it." I went to Ortiz's around the corner and got a great haircut for $10 less. Kevin is great, and he's the only reason I'm not giving this place a 1-star review. I'll miss him as my barber, but I can't support a business that treats customers so poorly. Edit: As you can see even as they respond they are reacting defensively, blaming me for miscommunications...rather than making the situation more costumer friendly. They were rude, canceled me, miscommunicated and then are blaming the customer FOR THEIR mistake. It's all right here in their response. Look to the other negative reviews of Jill they all say the same. She continues to be combative even in her responses to customer complaints. This is a pattern of rudeness from the business owner, don't support poor business owners who take your business for granted. I've changed my review to a 1 star to reflect the unprofessional response from this business.

She provides the level of detail that I come for, and obviously knows what I want every time. The counter service is always friendly and helpful. I love the vibe here, as they are quick to offer a beer or a shot of something stronger to relax you, and you can choose from standard services for men, including disposable straight edge shaves, to some of the less common like waxing of eyebrows or ears or nose. Everyone gets along here and I don't notice unneeded drama. Lots of laughs. Caveats: some or most of the barbers here are in high demand, I recommend you plan well in advance. They use the Squire app to manage your appointments remotely or call into their phone number. No photos as there are always people in there.
