NOT GOOD, indeed! I just spent 6 years in jail and prison largely because John D. Carson failed to submit the witnesses and evidence at trial. Apparently, he did not even interview my witnesses. Otherwise, he would have confirmed one of them was DEAD! Further, Mr. Carson did not stand up for me when the court-appointed psychologist submitted a false report without even completing my evaluation. Worse, John D Carson misled me about the cost of hiring an expert witness to refute the bogus diagnosis and sent me on wild goose chases regarding a 1983 and a writ of habeas corpus. Neither of these should be submitted until after a conviction and exhaustion of appeals. Otherwise, one can lose the right to submitted them later. For the record, after I was convicted, I was correctly diagnosed and treated by the mental health team at the GA State Diagnostic Prison, Jackson, GA. By law, had my correct diagnosis been established, the judge would have to instruct the jury at trial. I am a retired military veteran and was being considered for Veterans Court, two years probation and mandatory PTSD therapy. Instead, I was sentenced to 10 years in prison and another 10 years on probation. I am presently 72 years old and will not be off of either parole or probation until I am 86. That is what John D Carson and his fellow "officers of the court" did to me. "Thank you for your service" holds a highly different meaning for me. Thanks for reading. read more
