She insisted on a fixed amount of payment from my husband, as a division of his military retirement, when having COLA would not have cost him a penny, because the increase would have been given by the Government, just as Social Security increases do. They are not cheap, the fee we pay now is 300 dollars an hour, but we have experience with cheap lawyers and paying the extra fee is worth it, they work fast, are extremely friendly, keep you well informed, they know a lot of the judges and can get your paperwork in a way that works for you. I would specially recommend Scot to any military families even for a civilian case, because he is also licensed in military law he has a better understanding of there proceedings. and got our temporary custody order written in a way that we can move out of state without it effecting our case.
