I thought I would get an afternoon snack. Their soda machine was being worked on, so I picked up an orange slushy. The slushy had good orange flavor. I did not see this hot food until I went to the counter to check out and saw a small heated display case. There was a small selection of items. I opted for the cheeseburger sliders. They WERE hot. The package hold 2 sliders. They looked decent. One bun was a bit hard. The burger patties were definitely larger than a McDonald's burger. They had decent flavor, but not worth the $6.99 price tag.

My path to work changed and QT got a new location, so I stopped coming here. What brought me back was seeing the low fuel light come on my dashboard. I got the warning that I had low fuel and this Circle K was the first gas station I came to, so I pulled in to fuel up. The area around the gas pumps was well maintained, as was the rest of the parking lot. I didn't go inside like I use to, so I cannot speak of the staff inside. However, I can say the gentleman who pumped my gas was fast and efficient. Next time I'm in East Alton, I just might stop by again and go inside.

Lindsey and Onz here. We just left the shop. We're on a trip west hauling a single axle travel…read moretrailer. We stopped for fuel and snacks in Vandalia, when we noticed the wheel bearing on the left side had gone out. It was a nightmare since it's Sunday and really hard to find a mechanic anywhere. Plus we needed both tires replaced since it was worn to the nylon on the bad side passed the tread. Lindsey called Elliot's and we were told to bring it in and have a mechanic look at it. Long story short, Dale Craig was a life saver! After a quick scolding for driving there with the trailer in that condition, he methodically replaced the wheel bearing, swapped out the two tires, and boom we're back on the road. Dale is a skilled mechanic. Someone give him a raise! If you're driving through, and your trailer needs work then I highly recommend Dale over at Elliot truck & tire repair!

The best part is what we were missing... the all too familiar feeling of being ripped off when you leave an auto shop. Highly recommend!!
