Surprised, I found this woman holding a wonderful smelling cup of coffee explaining that the power was recently out and the pump card readers were not back up and running yet. She invited me into the store so we could activate the gas pumps from there. When Callie opened the door I noticed the glass was impossibly clean. The door handle was not gross and sticky. As I stepped in, the store floors were blinding white. Disbelieving, I looked around and saw everything was faced, organized. I touched the counter at the register which I NEVER DO. It too was clean. This is the most impressive gas station I've ever seen. I am so impressed by this and the great customer service I had all at 6am on a Saturday morning, you guys need to know about this. Don't believe me? Go see for yourselves. Not only will you not find trash blowing around the parking lot, you will have a smiling face greet you when you go in the store. AMAZING experience. Just when you thought people with a strong work ethic were extinct.

This is a small auto shop right off of the first exit in Belen from I-25 northbound situated in an…read moreold filling station. It is owned and operated by a single mechanic who works alone. I was towed to this station after my vehicle broke down. The proprietor turned me away with the explanation that he had a backlog and would not be able to get to my car for a week. This seemed plausible, as I saw several cars with work in progress, and I would not punitively rate a mechanic for this alone. The fact is, when we arrived and I approached the owner to explain my situation, he stared at me as if I had defiled his daughter. While explaining what had happened, he frequently interrupted in a manner that was hostile - it was clear he didn't want to deal with me. The callousness he exhibited toward a motorist in distress would not inspire me to trust his advice or his work on my car. I'd pass on this place. (He's evidently busy anyway.)
