The moment I step inside to buy some items, the clerk meets meet at the front door to tell me they "don't appreciate " me using their garbage bins throw away garbage. I replied "then I guess you don't need to appreciate my business either" and walked out the door. So there is no waiting for the stoplights to change! Even when it's busy I seem to be always able to find an open pump. It's been a rough winter so there has been a few out-of-order pumps this year but I think that is too be expected in the 15 below temperatures. One thing I found out this year, credit card readers don't work well during a polar vortex. The attendants inside are friendly so going inside to pay is not a problem. I recommend signing up for a BP Loyalty card. The program is free and you get 5 cents off per gallon on every other fill-up. Yes, it's only 5 cents but you have to take any discount you can get, right? Just remember to swipe your BP card before swiping your payment card.

They also have an app, Earnify, which when used gives you a $0.10 or a $0.20 discount depending on the day of the week. This station is very clean and bright. There is never a wait due to all of the pumps they have - lots of them. The Pride of Palatine is their convenience store - it even has a big selection of wines, beer, and liquors. They also have a restaurant, Urban Counter, which is very good. If you sell something on Facebook Marketplace, this is a great location for a public meet up.
