Have taken my kids here a few times over the last few years due to sports injuries, mt bike…read moreinjuries etc. The doctors there are great and I would recommend this facility if you are a local. The main reason I suggest being a local is because if you need to get ahold of anyone in the office, you'll need to just go there in person. I wouldn't suggest calling unless you have some sort of fetish of sitting on hold for eternity. Once you get there they are very helpful....... Now that you have your appointment and your ready to get seen next month, you are on your way to feeling great again. NOW... don't think for one second that you got to bypass the on hold thing just because you live in town. Once you get to your appointment next month and you have a seat in this very spacious waiting room, take a look around. You will notice there will be 1 maybe 2 people ahead of you, at this moment you think to yourself ( this will be quick) lol. This is the point where you will get to wait somewhere between 1-1 1/2 hours till someone brings you to the examination room, but don't worry the fun doesn't stop there. Once in the room you will get to wait at least another 30 to 45min. If you need to get some shopping done or feel like going to a nice sit down restaurant while you wait, just run up stairs check in and go do your thing, you will have plenty of time

Like Dr. Mohitt. Very informative and easy to talk with. Has excellent schooling for spine…read moresurgeries and quite educated in the field so felt comfortable with him. The administrative staff is less than desirable . Not very friendly and does not call you back. Waited two weeks to get phone call for scheduling my injection. However when I called them to find out when I could schedule my injection, they said that the approval from my insurance still has not come back. I called my insurance immediately and they said that they had just received the request for the procedure within minutes after I got off the phone with the spine center. My insurance said that they would process this claim and get it back to them promptly. I then had to call back the spine center a week later to find out when I could come in for my injection. I was then scheduled for my injection a week later. They are not on top of their paperwork and procedures at all in the front office. Nor do they take responsibility when they have made a mistake. I would suggest that if you use this center, be proactive in scheduling your appointments and be proactive with your insurance so that you get the care that you deserve because the doctor is a great doctor.

I am coming up on the end of this journey with Dr Smith and Puget Sound Orthopedics, but all things…read moreconsidered they have made it as good of an experience as a foot broken in 3 places with a full ligament tear could possibly be. Rewind back in June 2023 when the ER in Tacoma sent me home with a compression wrap and an ice pack and told me nothing major was wrong - then after night of excruciating pain my sister drove me an hour north to the Proliance Orthopedic Walk-in up in Tukwila (separate review - also a great experience, all things considered)... it was there they confirmed that there was at LEAST one break and wanted me to get an MRI as soon as possible, and once my MRI confirmed my triple-fracture and also identified the ligament tear I went looking for PSO. Look up a Lisfranc injury. It's usually sports, mine was just bad luck. I identified Dr Gavin Smith as an Orthopedic Podiatrist and Surgeon who seemed like a great fit. He took my case very seriously from the very start, they fit me in as quickly as possible, and once he got my MRI results he took the time to recommend both a surgical and non-surgical route for treatment - being clear the non-surgical did have a higher likelihood of issues from incorrect healing later on - but was genuine and clear that he was supportive of whichever route I chose. Once I chose surgical (which was 4 steel screws to be inserted into my Lisfranc region to stabilize and allow the injuries to heal properly for 12 weeks, then a final surgery to remove the screws with 4-6 weeks of additional recovery time). This sounded like torture but I was determined to see it through. I was right - it was sort of torture. There was a lot of pain and a lot of annoying times I couldn't do what I wanted to or I'd have to do the things a lot more slowly but I made it to my final surgery... now we are in the recovery window and I am 7 days post-op and starting to walk free of any aides and it's glorious. Yay! I can't wait to get my final sutures out and make my way back to full function - I am so grateful to Dr Gavin Smith. He has an excellent "bedside manner" - he is kind and personable but doesn't sugarcoat anything. He's incredibly knowledgeable and well-versed in his field and also super kind. I would recommend him in a heartbeat and if myself or any of my loved ones need an orthopedic podiatrist his office will be my first call. The staff here at PSO is also great - they run on time almost every time. I've only had one appointment where we ran late and they offered to reschedule me if I could not wait. The office is very clean, parking is readily available and free, and the check-in process is very smooth, especially if you check in ahead on your phone!

Grinning and bearing it when you have an active family and lifestyle just doesn't cut it and my quality of life or lack thereof was causing depression and beginning to spill over into all aspects of my life. Finally I was referred to Dr Rodricks at Rainier Foot and Ankle. Right away he could tell something was wrong. He listened to my story from the beginning and asked questions no one else had. He confirmed what I always knew, my ankle was significantly damaged. The MRI showed not one but two tendons each with two significant tears in them. I'm 8 weeks post op now and on the mend! I finally am looking forward to regaining my active lifestyle and while the recovery is slow and requires lots of patience, I feel confident that if I follow Dr Rodericks instructions I will be back to loving the life I'm living.

I am happy to share that each time I visit the clinic I am greeted by a reception. Usually it is Trish. She has always been very patient, very knowledgeable and eager to assist. Whether it's a phone call to the clinic or while I'm at her desk she is always very professional and has a genuine care and concern for me. The Nursing staff has always been top notch. They have always been very professional and I have observed their communication with the doctor and I can you tell there is an excellent working relationship. Dr. Ron is the best out there. I have been to different wound care centers and seen a couple different podiatrists over the years. But I come back to Dr. Ron because whatever it is I need he makes it work. He is very knowledgeable, empathetic but he's a straight shooter. He always has enough supplies And the right equipment to get the job done. I can also speak on his handiwork in the operating room. I ended up having a couple of toes amputated the summer of 2015. Dr. Ron was able to save my foot. I'm very thankful for that. If I would have been under the care of a hospitalist I'm positive they would've taken my foot or amputated below the knee. If you want the best podiatrist please give foot and ankle specialist of Puget sound a call. Dr. Ron and the other doctors in the practice are top notch. The staff is second to none. You owe it to yourself and it may be the best decision you ever make when it comes to foot care. I know without a doubt it was mine. Thank you Dr. Ron and the staff. You have made a positive difference in my life. Respectfully, Dawnde
