Okay so I know about these tennis courts for a very long time . Actually since I was a little…read morechild. However I never really came here that often because it is out of my way. First thing I want to say about these tennis courts is that they're fairly decent. They have ample parking space and they have about four full-sized tennis courts. The surface of the courts are in decent shape. The nets are also in decent shape. There are benches located all around the entire premises. There's even a pickleball court and two sets of backboards for people to practice on or to get a good exercise/workout. The one thing I noticed about the tennis courts is that during the morning hours from about 9:00 a.m. to noon, there seems to be a ton of people here playing tennis. I believe they may even have local leagues playing tournament style because all of the players in the morning look like they have been playing for many years. If you want to come here and be able to have some space for your own to practice your form or other kinds of different techniques, or if you want to coach somebody or your children and just want enough space to do that, the best time to do that is between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. after about 4:00 p.m. I do notice that it tends to pick up just a little bit period people who get off of work during that time coming to play and about a quarter to half of the courts will be occupied at that time too. The only real graph I will have about this place is that there really isn't anyone here I think that keeps the courts clean as with any other tennis court in Vallejo. But the good part about that is you'll find many tennis balls just lying around and it's free so if you're in need of tennis balls and you're just starting off there's nothing wrong with that . A second thing I noticed is that at the very back of the parking lot I do notice from time to time there are random cars that just park there and people just kind of hang around in that area. I'm not too sure about how it is during the late evening hours but if you're coming alone and kind of feel insecure I would probably avoid coming very late especially if you're the only one and cannot defend for yourself. Otherwise this court is really good

Great park for pickle ball! My boyfriend and I came here to play for about an hour! It's clean,…read morethere were 2 courts for pickle ball and nobody was there! There were other people playing tennis. It was safe we went around 4 pm. Not too much shade but it was still fun! Thanks!

We found out that there's no pickleball court in Hercules but Refugio is one of the tennis courts…read morein the city. Since the tennis court can be a replacement for the pickle ball court, we came here to enjoy our sport. We arrived after 1 pm and out of the 4 courts available, only 2 courts are occupied by tennis players. We took one of the courts and enjoyed more than 1 hour of pickleball. This place must be busy in the morning and you've to wait to get a vacant court. Playing in the afternoon has fewer players and more vacant courts to play on. The courts are covered by a blue tarp on the fence which helped to stop the wind from blowing to the court. It also serves as privacy. This is a nice place to either play tennis or pickle all.

Well kept courts. No cracks on the ground. There are some brooms left out to sweep off the leaves…read morefrom the surrounding trees. There is a total of 4 courts and outside court 1 and 2 there are two empty areas to hit against the wall. Courts are caged off with 2 courts in each cage. There is a sitting area and low fence for spectators in between courts 2 and 3. Also there is a practice wall on the other side of courts 1. Another plus, is that there are small net dividers between the adjoined courts so that balls against the fence won't roll to the next court. The lights are great! Found out courts 3 and 4 turn off at 8:40. I don't know when the lights for 1 & 2 turn off. The lights in the practice wall area isn't the best but it works Parking lot is small. Only about 8-10 parking spots. If anything park across the street at the main park.

Our draw was cancelled late so we were then unable to signup for singles as well, and since it's 2 days before the weekend, we were unable to signup for any other tournaments! Completely ruined our plan for this weekend and we'd been looking forward to playing in a competitive match, but it was not to be. There was no conversation prior to the cancellation, and no suggestion to allow us to register for singles, but just straight up woke up to not being in the draw and then the director Calvin saying there's nothing he could do! Well why didn't he let us know BEFORE so that we could register for singles or register for another tournament? Completely unprofessional.

I have sent both my daughters and my son to Calvin for coaching. All three of them LOVED going to training thanks to Calvin. His upbeat, positive attitude made my kids enjoy tennis that much more. His tournaments are run smoothly and efficiently. Weather is the only thing that affects any of his tournaments, which is totally out of his control. OVERALL, if you're thinking about getting your kids into tennis, or get their game improved, look no further....... CALVIN is your guy!!!!!!! Mark

Highly recommend their demo program if you're unsure of what type of raquet you want, they have all the best new ones to try out. I recently did the racket demo program. It is awesome, you get 30 days to try as many rackets as you'd like, 3 at a time, for $40. The $40 is like a down payment toward the racket you eventually end up choosing! Bryce helped me out the first time I came in - gave me all the basics in a very friendly and approachable way! I swapped rackets many times lol and it was always pretty quick and easy. Anytime I needed a recommendation, I felt like I could trust what they were telling me from their own tennis experience! I ended up getting a Head Gravity racket with pretty blue, Mach 10 strings to match lol - I couldn't be more pleased with my choice! The price match they offer can also be handy - even though they ended up having the cheapest prices in store when I went, it's good to keep in mind if you happen to see a cheaper price online, they'll honor it, according to their policy! Tennis can be expensive haha so just keep this policy in mind! They're a small shop but I feel good supporting local! Sometimes they might not have what you're looking for, but they're happy to get it from their other location/order it for you and they're always really good about calling you when your item or racket is ready! For example, they had to get my racket and some racket head protection tape from their other store, on different occasions. They called me each time when it was ready. For your fellow tennis lovers, keep this place in mind - they have gift cards! I actually got a gift card for my birthday lol that I used towards my new racket. I also bought tennis balls here as part of my tennis friend's birthday gift - recommended by Bryce - and they ended up being great balls! Dunlop Grand Prix! I will always appreciate the help, knowledge/recs, and friendly service from Courtside - come support them if you need anything for tennis!
