NEVER in my life have I dealt with such an unprofessional, mean, argumentative person as Shawn. I…read moreplaced a rush order Wednesday evening, around 5:30pm. I asked him to tell me based on his workload when he could realistically get them done and we'd happily plan accordingly. He didn't advise his timeframe, just that he'd get them done and let me know. At 2:30pm the next day, he asked when I could come pick up my order - I promptly answered that I could come in around 4:30pm. At this point he informed me he was closing at 3pm (posted business hours state he's open until 5pm, M-F) and that he would also be closed on Friday and Monday. When I asked why he hadn't communicated any of that to me prior to my placing the order, he blamed me for telling him it was a rush BUT not rushing fast enough to come pick them up. I placed this order Wednesday night and planned to pick them up Thursday afternoon - less than 24 hours - is that not rushed enough? He should never have accepted this order without advising that his hours were different than what he had posted on his site. When I pointed that out, he responded that "you never asked." So I guess it was on me to ask if his hours just so happened to be different than what he advertised. I truly thought I was being respectful of his business and existing workload by not breathing down his neck and demanding the order be completed faster. Never did I expect him to openly criticize and mock me for trying to be patient and work around his schedule. As I scrambled to find a way to get this order picked up by someone on my team, he proceeded to send me nasty texts, scream at me and hurl insults at me on the phone, and then hang up on me by yelling "PEACE." He literally had me in tears by the end of the call and laughed at me for it. I wouldn't wish this guy on my worst enemy. In his rant on the phone he proudly stated he doesn't care about keeping customers - people can take him or leave him if they don't like the way he operates. Which is true, you can absolutely run your business however you'd like. But why would you want to willingly hurt customers feelings and encourage them never to use your business? There are so many alternative printing options in the area - kicking myself for ever attempting to use this one.

I tried to do this on my own at first and the results were pretty crappy. Luckily I had been to an art exhibition at the DNA Gallery on Guitterez and learned that they did an entire range of services, with logo creation being one of the many. I met with Derren (the D of DNA) to discuss ideas and he was very helpful. He was very open to my suggestions, but also provided the guidance I needed to get my logo to where I could actually visualize it in my mind. It was amazing how he took just a few words and color suggestions and was able to convey that to his team. The actual logo was created by Ana (the A of DNA) and I was amazed at how quickly she worked. Within days I had 4 different black and white sketches or mock ups. I was super excited and was able to speak again with Derren and combine all my favorite aspects of each into one logo I was in love with. The end result was amazing. I could not be happier. The logo they designed completely captures the essence of my company. It tells the whole story in one simple and elegant picture. I am super excited about it and have had numerous compliments on it. I can't wait to have them create some t-shirts and business cards for me as well. Bottom line, the good people at DNA are creative geniuses. They are young and their ideas are unique and exciting. Not sure what happened…read morebut when we called the person answering the phone was insolent, hard to hear, a real jokester telling me if they could not get the order done I could come slap him like Will Smith slapped Chris Rock. I thought I had the incorrect number -it was so stupid and unprofessional-so I hung up. My Co-worker called the next day and got the same response and had to pull the information out of "ANDRE." And then got told the same thing about hitting the guy to the question of whether they would be able to get the printing done in time. As we had used them before we thought we would stick with it. Finally got a quote two days later - due to their technical issues with the computer - but really - they could not get me a quote without the computer program??! A this point we went to Bill's copy Shop- did not get the stupid comic routine - got the quote and answers to our questions in a professional way and got the item printed in 24 hours and for 1/3 of the price! We will not use SB Signs and Graphics again.
