Hello QYPE! This is my first QYPE review.
I'm a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1999. I've been fortunate to have been to Germany at least twice a year since that time too. When I'm in the Walldorf area and I want a great ethnic and satisfying meal, I think of Pfälzer Hof. I thank my colleague Matthias Kirtschig for introducing me to this wonderful restaurant right next to the Church in the Zentrum of Walldorf. I've eaten here 6+ times. (mk, lg, ds, ys, solo-mio) I have NEVER been disappointed.
My standard dish is the Gyros Platter. The meat is tender and flavorful. I love the starter salad here which consists of lettuce, carrot, white bean, and pepperoni - a pickled pepper, which is not spicy hot. Dessert is included. I love that a shot of ouzzo (sp?), a liquorice flavored liquor, is provided complimentary at the end of the meal.
Prices are reasonable.
Service is friendly and family-run.
Portions are generous.
