Went in and it felt like home , warm ,and receptive place was empty ( 2:30 ) quiet time but I was met by a wonderful male server of mixed heritage Quebecois with Irish lineage. I ordered my childhood favorite which was Bifana with a side of potatoes (Round) with the typical Portuguese seasoning. I took a bite of the bifana and it was emotional, that bite took me back to my childhood with my mom. Very well done guys. I ordered spicy and I got exactly what I asked. Oh with the right amount of bifana steak.

My bother enjoyed the house beer, which was light and refreshing. The chicken was the standout--juicy and well seasoned--and the accompanying sauce was delicious. Get the spicy sauce if you can. As a vegetarian, my options were more limited. But the house salad, fries, and the egg tart (so light and flakey that we had to order more!) hit the spot. The new owner served us personally. He was friendly and good humored--we were well cared for! Please be advised that the food will take longer: that's because your chicken is being cooked to order. It's worth the wait!

Haven't been to Scores in over two years and I'm pleasantly surprised with their makeover! The menu…read morenow has a new look and feel--a matte finish and more sophisticated look. The salad bar which used to be $9.95 has now been revamped and called Le Grand Saladier and costs $12.95. The are now 4 kinds of soups available: Chicken noodle, Minestrone, Nacho & Cheese, Chili. New salads include shrimp, French green beans, kale, quinoa, pesto & sun-dried tomato pasta, Napa, egg & crab meat salads, and there are also the regular potato, egg, carrot, coleslaw salads as well. Tons of toppings including new ones like crumbled blue cheese, pico di gallo salsa, guacamole, cubed chorizo, etc. Gone are the kiwis, oranges, grapes and other fruits. Those are replaced by a single melon bowl and a bowl of whole apples. The rotisserie chicken plates have remained the same--tonight the chicken legs were unsurprisingly dry but the shoestring fries were crispy! We ordered baked potato but it came out weird and the waitress didn't hesitate to take it away and replace with fries. Service was great! Waitress was very attentive and pleasant even though there were a number of patrons. She even stopped by to chat and smile at a cute golden-haired baby. I liked the minestrone soup which I added grated cheddar cheese and soda crackers. Kale salad had a sweet dressing and mango pieces in it. I didn't like the Italian parsley flavored shrimp salad but that's just me not liking Italian parsley. I imagine it would've been killer good if they replaced it with chopped coriander and used lime! (Thinking about it, I might make that for myself at home instead!!) Overall, not a bad place for AYCE salad. And for only $2 more, what the heck--you might as well throw in the rotisserie chicken plate! I like the updated look. Good job, Scores!

After missing all the lunch time specials we decided let's give scores another shot…read more 4:15 pm not a single soul was in the parking lot I thought it was closed but little did we know that people were coming in zooming by 4:30 to get the early dinner. We ordered a burger with salad bar and the chicken with salad bar. The lady who served us was just leaving so told us another woman would take her place. Th burger was supposed to take 15 minutes to cook which was perfect so we could enjoy the unlimited salad and soup. We got up to get our soup and It was fantastic it was full to the rim not a single soul had touched it minus the waitress standing up eating at the computer. We decided It was time for salad and so we got up to make our plates, the waitress was bringing our food out even tho we were don at the salad bar ? So we returned with a bowl of salad and our plates in front of us, had to move our main dishes to the side so we could enjoy our salad. I don't know why she would bring us our food when it's just sitting there getting cold, unless they're trying to choose how much to eat and the soup and salad bar? She told me my burger would take long and it didn't, so besides that mess up the place was good better then our last experience.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Casual Korean eatery. Great combos…read morewith lots of variety. Everything was tasty. The Long Version: My husband and I went here for lunch. I got the fried chicken combo ($16.99) and my husband got the beef combo ($16.99). We requested no sesame seeds for our food and they accommodated by not sprinkling sesame seeds on the rice, japchae or beef, but they forgot that one of the fried chicken sauces has sesame seeds in it, so I had to give my husband that piece. We were going to share anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me. The Fried Chicken Combo came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, each one a different flavour: original, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic. The sweet and spicy sauce has sesame seeds in it. Since I can't eat sesame seeds but can tolerate slight contamination, I didn't bring it up and just gave that piece to my husband. Although in retrospect I should have alerted them for them to be more aware for someone else who might have a more severe issue. Both combos came with japchae, rice, 2 dumplings, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was great. I liked both the original and the soy garlic. Hubby liked the sweet and spicy. The beef was tender and flavourful. And I liked that it was lean meat and not gristly. The dumplings were deep-fried and had pork and vegetables in it. The rice was nicely steamed and slightly sticky which I liked. The japchae was flavourful and had shiitake mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers and onions in it. It was little too oily for my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The combos also came with a can of soda or a bottle of water. My husband got a Coca Cola and I got a bottle of water, which I took to go to drink during my shopping adventures after lunch, since we were given tap water with our meal. Service was courteous and efficient. Lots of indoor seating with televisions playing K-pop music videos in the dining room. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs, so might be a problem for those with mobility issues. Review #18 (2025)

All the other meat dishes like the tilapia were very good but my favorite was the fried chicken, which roasted fresh with authentic Portuguese-style pili pili sauce was tender and juicy. They even had a loyalty card. Fill out a row and get a free meal. Then without warning in 2014 it was closed or rather never opened for a year and a half (I later found out the rent was still being paid despite all this). I had heard that the owners were traveling out of the country to the West African nation of Senegal (during the Ebola outbreak no less, so I feared the worst for them). I was glad when I saw them back in town in 2017 but when the restaurant reopened I was told that it was under new management and the manager refused to honor the loyalty card. He jokingly offered me a free meal as a handout if I had no money, which ticked me off since all I wanted was my money's worth. I hate it when businesses do that, taking people's money and then pulling this stunt. Even before they closed, I wanted to redeem my loyalty card for a free meal, but the owner Kadi asked if I could refrain from doing so as she said that money was tight and like a sucker I believed her. I should have said too bad and lawfully claimed my free meal. Now that it's under a new business number even though it's still the same owners (obviously a scam and most likely a front), I can't legally force them to honor their loyalty card. Also, which restaurant can stay in business even when it's So I never did try the food under the new management and it's just as well since reviews on other sites have the less than stellar comments about the overall food quality and the cleanliness of the place, too.

Found this place on yelp, 40 min drive from DT, but to try Senegalese goat it was worth the effort. We preferred Two ordees of goat, one order if plantain.... ask for pili pili oh the side. It wasn't really hot which was disappointing... We're use to the pili pili from Congo the can send you to the hospital! The goat takes about 30 min but it was worth the wait. We actually preordered so by the time we arrived it was ready. Friendly waitress. Clean resto and loved the music. I'd ask for the banana to be cut thicker because it was too thin and hard. The goat just needed to be accompanied by a beautiful pili pili so that's all that we were really missing. Will come back with some in my bag maybe lol. I'm excited to try other menu items.
