By the end of my first conversation with Ram, he had emailed a precise bid. First day he sent a strong young man to remove dead landscaping from the front and side yard. He filled 25 large contractor bags and 2 pick-up truck beds. The next day to workers arrived on time (7:30 AM with their tools, food, and drinks) and after confirming design, began to dig and set concrete pillars. They then framed the exterior. No wasted movements, as they knew exactly what they were doing. Very friendly. Ram arrived the next day to cut the boards. The first technical part. Day four involved sanding/planing each board, which I then sealed, with Ram's assistance. All lumber was laid on the deck frame in the correct order, and left to dry overnight. The next day, Ram arrived to secure all boards. He made the job look easy and I know it wasn't. Overall, Kanah Konstruction finish the job two days earlier than promised, within budget, and very little waste. My experience working with Ram and Kanah Konstruction turned out to be the highlight of my visit! My daughter was surprised and thrilled.

While I haven't moved forward with the project yet, my initial experience with Jonathan and Michael has been very positive, and I appreciate the time they spent helping me understand my options.

In the middle of the job, he said he'd have to come back to finish it on another day, even though he had told me it would be a one day repair. On the day he was supposed to finish it, he texted to cancel so we rescheduled. When he came back the following week to finish the job, he tried to charge me double and explained that he had a minimum charge per visit. I reminded him that it was HIS decision to come back on a second day and he never mentioned he was going to charge me for a 2nd visit. If he had been transparent about that, I would have asked him to finish it on the first day since that's what he quoted me for the repair. He ended up going back to his original quote, but he acted annoyed as if I was haggling with him. Super unprofessional and dishonest, and I would never recommend him to anyone.

They just did a renovation job on one of my rental properties in Makiki. It included reflooring, painting, and numerous repairs and they delivered more than they promised. They are honest, reasonable, communicative, reliable, accommodating, and best of all hardworking with great quality workmanship. These qualities are certainly challenging to find in a handyman these days but I am happy to recommend them. I worked with Donovan, the foreman who kept in touch with me everyday and sent me photos of their progress. He is professional and super friendly and I appreciate how he met me at the hardware store, shopped for all the materials, and I paid the hardware store. This way I'm not making a blind deposit for "materials" bearing the risk of the contractor taking the money and running. Once a contract is signed they did require 50% Deposit on the labor cost but the work was already in progress. They're also fully insured. A neighbor in the same building was so impressed with their work that they hired them on the spot to have their flooring redone as well! I found AllTech Professionals on Yelp through their "Obtain a Quote" process. I love Yelp for this feature as it has saved me so much time on managing my projects.
