I found it a strange recommendation since it's an import and I reckon Finland knows a thing or two about Christmas beer. I'm told this is a venerable Tampere pub and there seemed to be plenty of locals at the place -- it certainly has charm. This visit was on a Thursday and they had a pub quiz going. I'll be back here for sure because of the extensive selection. But be prepared to open you wallet for that selection -- pricey brews. Not much value to be found at this classic pub.

Bartender was friendly enough when I ordered a bottled IPA. I took a seat in the back area with booths. Some classic rock music was playing in the background. There's a pool table that's evidently an hourly thing. Looks well kept, and plenty of room. A couple locals had a game going on. They exchanged some words and hugs with the staff at some point. Sign of a local joint. As I left, the staff were putting a hockey game on the screen. I liked this place and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. And the prices were great.
