In Davey's estimate, it stated "Expose Concrete Slab in back yard by removing several weeds, invasive trees, and vines." Justin estimated it would take 3 people a full day. When they were finished, the concrete slab had a couple of inches of dirt and debris covering it. Their contract states it has to be "rakeable," so I figured I'd clear it after work with a broom. It took a lot more than a broom. It was loaded with vines, weeds, and small to large branches. It took me 6+ hours to actually clear it that night. Justin left a message after my initial contact and offered to send people back to clean up the "leaf matter," but at that point I had already done it so we could use it the next day. The 3 people who did the work were only here for 3 hours. Justin stated that the time difference between the estimate (8+ hours) and the actual (3 hours) was because I was "lucky" to get such an experienced crew. Those 3 hours cost me more than 3 grand.

He trimmed the lower branches and cleared some stuff from the upper branches. He chopped down a crab apple tree that was half dead and left the stomp at the height I asked for. We also had several cedar trees trimmed, to eliminate some of the debris on our roof and sidewalk. Jeff hauled all the branches and debris away. He raked the yard and blew the sidewalk! I was very pleased with his work and will hire him again to take care of some more trees in our yard, as finances permit! Jeff's estimate for the work we wanted done, was one of the best we received! Stay Brush Tree had a great price, but even better tossed in a bunch of odd jobs like removing another 40' dead pine, chopping up another fallen tree on my heavily wooded lot, and removing a huge eyesore of a brush pile that had accumulated over many years (leaving absolutely NO trace of it) for very little extra. Clean up was spectacular. Not only did they clean up any and all of their own messes, they cleaned up many of mine in the. process, leaving my yard looking like a well cared for national park. Incredibly, they were soonest available, too. Brian, the owner, is a knowledgeable arborist, and generously spent some time educating me on the care of my property.
