The tech and vet we interacted with were fantastic, very thorough and actually caught something unrelated to the reason we went in. Prices were reasonable and they walked through all charges before doing anything. They also sent over info to our regular vet. Would definitely go back if needed and in the area.

I had 2 separate terrible boarding experiences here with my dog…read more the first time it was from Friday to Sunday. they returned my dog to me Sunday evening with all of his food and treats. they apologized and they seemed upset and they tried to make amends. I think the faculty looks so nice, I decided to try again. The second time, was also Friday- Sunday. I reviewed with the check in girl , for my dog to be fed 3 times a day, he also had printed instructions in his backpack. Plus his food has instructions printed on it. I even called on Saturday to see if they had questions. I picked him up on Sunday evening and he was returned with all of his Sunday food. they hadn't fed him since the night before... they only fed him once at night.. all of his food. They need a better or any kind of system to feed these dogs, or I have been extra unlucky twice.

I didn't have time to get my Sheltie mix, Tyler, groomed before we left on vacation - so I decided…read moreto looking for a place in Marshfield that could cut his hair. I did a google search and found Amy's Pet Grooming - Amy and Becky share an office, Amy works on the weekends, Becky during the week. I called on a Tuesday and Becky was able to get me in on Wednesday morning. I dropped Tyler off at 9am, and she said he would be done in 4 hours. I returned at 12:45pm, and she had just finished with his haircut. He was running around the store playing with their small white terrier and her toys. He was having a blast. His haircut looked beautiful, Becky did a great job on trimming him up! I have gotten several comments on how great he looks in the past week! Three people have asked me how old my puppy is - I tell them he's 8.5 years old! It was such a great haircut that he looks like a puppy again! I thought it was a little overpriced at $45, especially for a small town - considering I only pay $30 at my groomer at home, but it did include a bath (which I do not typically do since Tyler loves to get baths at home, and I can use my preferred Shampoochie soap from the Green Stone Soap Company). But, I guess when there are only 4 groomers in town ... it's easy to charge more. He does look beautiful, so it was worth it. Two thumbs up to Grooming by Becky!

I have had 2 experiences with the Mosinee Veterinary Clinic and will never have another. This does…read morenot come from the care they provided to the animals but the cost of that care and their lack of consideration for their owners. I should have learned from my first experience with them but I did not. That bout cost me over $900 and they could not find a single thing wrong with my cat. I authorized $250 in charges and they took it upon themselves to run additional tests that I did not have the money for and required payment on the spot. So after feeling totally violated and screwed over I called back to dispute the charges and was blown off and told that there really wasn??t anything they could do since the tests were already complete. Unfortunately the next experience I faced with them was out of desperation as I could not get into my reputable vet. My other cat had an issue so I decided to take her there. They said the first thing they needed to do was to check the anal glands. I was there during this attempt and the vet struggled with the cat and I don??t think he ever accomplished what he attempted to do because the cat was struggling so much. He mentioned that everything was fine and recommended a blood and urine test to check for issues or infection. These came back negative so he advised me to have them give her an antibiotic shot and she would be ??fine?. What do I know, I said ok! Well now I waited a moment for the assistant to come back and I overheard the vet and somebody talking about my bill through the wall and they went down the list. When they got to the anal gland part, the vet was very indecisive as I believe he knew he didn??t effectively check the glands. The lady just said ??well, we will charge him for it anyway?. Upon being presented with a $360+ dollar invoice with no definitive solution I requested to talk to the vet. He came out and I questioned the anal gland fee and he said ??well?. I checked them and?.. they were fine? again, very indecisive. I asked if they were expressed which I believe is what I was charged for and he said there was no need. I paid the bill and left very upset. The cat??s symptoms never changed so I made an appointment with my regular ??honest? vet 7 days later. Within 2 minutes of being there he said ??well, I know exactly what is wrong, her anal gland is 4 times the size it should be and it is as hard as a rock.? The cat needed to be sedated to fix the problem so the procedure was schedule the following day. We were then told that the antibiotic that was administered was not the correct one for that type of infection. Once again that violated feeling took over. The next day came and went we went to pick up our cat and waited for the invoice. This invoice was for 2 separate appointments, anesthesia, the procedure, an anti-inflammatory shot and the correct antibiotic shot. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came to $116. Mosinee Veterinary Clinic charged me over 3 times that price and accomplished nothing more than upsetting a very connected customer who will gladly spread the word about their crooked practice.
