He is communicative, caring, and has a great bedside manner. It is clear he truly cares about his patients and their owners. He gave my dog his wellness checkup last year. On the other hand and unfortunately, unfortunately, there are absolutely NO good things I can say about Dr. Schoenhut. She didn't return calls on two occasions despite our reaching out multiple times and being told things like, "oh she'll call in in 30 mins;" "oh, she was supposed to return your call after lunch;"; "I'll remind her again in just a minute;" "She's currently in with another pet but she'll reach out before she leaves (which she didn't). It took three more calls the next day (with similar excuses) before she called after the practice had closed for the day. I had brought my dog in for a number of reasons because he had a lot of muscle and overall weight loss in a very short period of time, could no longer jump up onto even the couch, his face had become gaunt, and his face and body (particularly the former) had been turning gray very quickly. Based on his condition, I was pretty sure that he had cancer. I've attached two pictures. The first is what he looked like during his wellness exam with Dr. Nolan about 8-ish months before I came back. The second is what he looked like the month after the exam by Dr. Schoenhut. He wasn't quite as wasted away at the time she examined him, but it wasn't much better. After Dr. Schoenhut examined him, she ordered a number of tests. When the results came in, she started breezing through things without defining the medical terms. I had to stop her, asked her to break it all down, and what it all meant. I asked her to explain the results and just to be straight with me if it looked like it was cancer--particularly because of the way he looked. She was kind of vague, talking about how certain markers *might* indicate the presence of cancer, and then recommended other tests that could be performed--including something like bone-marrow extraction--that would have cost over (if I'm remembering correctly) about $3,000 to $3,500 if we wanted to be 100% certain. I later learned that one of the markers on my dog's original test was in the 9,000 range but normal was in the 300 range, and that plus another elevated marker, together with his physical condition as shown in the picture below were sufficient to diagnose the presence of cancer without the need for the other really expensive tests In both visits Dr. Schoenhut--unlike Dr. Nolan--made me feel like she was just rushing through the appointment to get onto the next appointment. Literally the worst vet experience I've ever had in the 21+ years I've been a dog owner. But for the fact that Dr. Nolan and the staff are so great, I'd have rated the business no higher than 2 stars. If you do choose this practice, make sure you ask for and get Dr. Nolan.

Ginny simply would not be here today without the incredible skill, dedication, and compassion of the CUVS teams. Dr. Forman was exceptional, always taking the time to explain every detail and support us through Ginny's two surgeries and ongoing treatments. Dr. Bentley and Dr. Morgan performed the surgeries that quite literally saved her life, and we will be forever grateful. During Ginny's two hospital stays, the Internal Medicine team and nurses cared for her as if she were their own, giving us peace of mind during some of our darkest days. Dr. Wynne also went above and beyond by addressing secondary issues during her recovery. We will always be grateful to everyone at CUVS for giving us more time with the cat who means the world to us.

I used just cats as a vet for 5 or 6 years with no issues. So I was quite comfortable in leaving my cats there to board last year when I went on a trip for 2 1/2 weeks. Well, when I went to pick them up, there was some confusion where their online hours didn't agree with their physical hours. so when I showed up, they tried to deny me access to my Cats. I finally got my cats out of there thankfully , yet when I went to the Boarding area, it was extremely cold and the cats were in a very sterile little cage with just one little rag on the floor. Turns out both my cats were sick. Sickened there at this vets boarding facility . They had to go to another vet to receive proper care. thankfully they both recovered and are fine . Really not my choice for how I would've wanted my cats treated so beware don't let your precious animals board here at "just Cats ' it is just a nightmare.

I boarded my cat here a few months ago and while boarding, my cat contracted a respiratory infection. When I took her in, I had to see a different doctor than usual, because Dr. Mary was booked up for over two weeks. Additionally, I was charged for this visit regardless of my cat contracting her infection while boarding. I am unable to clip my cat's nails by myself, and when I took her in last week, the price went up yet again to $27! This seems like a lot to pay for a simple and quick service that a vet tech can perform. I love Dr. Mary, but when she retires, I will be seeking out another veterinary practice.

The vet Dr. Devery was very patient and thorough. We decided to continue with the anti inflammatory as well as pain killers for a short time. Last week was the end of the drugs and a call was made to discuss further treatment if necessary. Today I met with Dr Williams who also took time to check out my girl and it was decided since she has shown signs of improvement the best course of action was to maintain limited activity and make sure she stays comfortable. The whole experience was stress free. Got to say currently I am happy with them let's see if this will be a long happy relationship.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING…read more We scheduled a consultation for stem cell therapy for our dog. Before the appointment, I specifically called to confirm that it was a free consultation because we only wanted information about the procedure and pricing at this stage. I was clearly told it was free. When we arrived, we were placed in a small, closed, hot room and waited almost 30 minutes. Not ideal, especially with our dog. As we were leaving, we were suddenly told we owed $160. I was shocked. I explained that I had called beforehand and was told it would be a free consultation. The front desk employee responded that "there is always a charge." I asked them to listen to the recorded call because I had specifically confirmed this before coming in. She said she would "go talk to the manager," and we waited another 15 minutes. She came back and said they wouldn't charge us today -- but that we would still have an open balance on our account. That makes absolutely no sense. If it was their mistake, why would we still owe the money? I asked to speak with the manager and requested to listen to the recorded call myself. The manager came out and refused to let us hear it, repeating that we would still have an open balance. After a long, stressful conversation, she finally admitted it was a mistake made by the front desk staff -- but still insisted we owed the money. That is unacceptable. We left feeling frustrated, stressed, and completely disrespected. If a clinic makes a mistake, they should take accountability -- not push the cost onto the client. This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. We will not be returning for stem cell therapy or any other service.
