We use Pets Mart for bath and grooming near our home and since we were visiting and our standard Poodle needed a Florida refresh, we took Buddy Holly to the location that was 5-minutes away. My wife called "Toni"the groomer to express her thanks for a proper Poodle cut and wished she was closer to our house in Illinois. Amanda groomed my cocker spaniel. She was very nice and personable during check in and asked good questions. She did a FANTASTIC job! Chelsea was cut very short for summer like I requested. Cut was even and looked good. I wish she was there now, but she is out for health reasons so I'll have try someone else. read more

If I could give a ZERO star for the grooming services I would. We took Chloe, a happy go lucky dog there for a haircut on June 27, 2026. When we picked her up, she was shaved, and afraid of her own shadow. She has completely lost her spirit. I DON'T KNOW went on during her hair cut, But I can assure you that we will NEVER go back. This was my first visit to Petsmart since retiring a few years ago and also my first bad experience with them. I grabbed a few items that were listed as "buy 2, get 1 free" but rang up as "buy 2, get 1 half off". I had to meet the manager at the item's location since he declined to honor the listed price. He first ignored me while removing the sale stickers off the shelf, even blocking me when I tried to take a photo of the sale price of the items I grabbed. He finally talked and said it was an old sale (no date listed on stickers). I pointed to my item's sale sticker and said most stores will honor a price if it's their mistake, he proceeded to removing the sticker and saying "it's correct now". Instead of losing $8 on one item, they lost the profit from $250+ products I left at the register and any future purchases that will never happen now. Not sure if the manager is forced to work there by court order but really needs to find another line of work. read more

We have used this location several times over the last year & a half and today was the last time my pets will step their paws into this store. They turned one of my dogs away at check-in for an already treated "ear infection" from my vet, stated for her to stay they would have to have a vet visit - could not tell me how much or what would be done. I declined. My second dog stayed & he magically needed a vet visit also on day 2 of his stay. Other Family members informed me that my dog needed a vet visit hours before my husband & I were contacted about our dog. The family members were discussed with my pet's issue OUT IN THE OPEN AT THE STORE and none of them are on my pet's profile, they just "know" we're family because we have been using this facility that long. Upon check-out, I asked the PetsHotel manager who she called & she said she called and spoke to the person on file and set up the appointment- the number read off to me, was my own and I was never contacted. This was a straight up lie by the manager. I was told my dog was "hyperactive" and it made it difficult to get his "wound" treated. The medications my dog "was prescribed" were OTC from the store & upon getting home -- my dog's "wound" was never once treated, the two bottles were completely full/unused & my dogs area that I paid a vet visit for was completely scabbed over and untouched by medications. My dog came home smelling of Urine and had dried urine all over his legs. This facility is obviously dirty & it's PetsHotel & Store Managers are rude and condescending. I reached out to PetSmart looking for a solution, and hopefully cooperate "will do anything for pets" because this location and its' employees don't care. read more

We have taken our dog(s) for grooming at Petsmart for 3 years. However the last time we took our 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier, we got a new groomer who was clearly intimidated by this 15 lb. Dog. Today I had an appointment and when I showed up, this same groomer looked at him and said oh he is panting and appears nervous so we can't groom him (it was 102 outside, of course he was panting, he's a dog). All. The other groomers backed her up and said they have a new policy that cannot work on dogs they perceive to be anxious. There was zero customer service and this was not about my dog but about this incompetent groomer. You need to do better Petsmart - don't hire groomers who don't know how to handle dogs - that is your business. Very disappointed and will not go back. Losing a regular customer appeared to mean nothing to the staff. read more

No wonder the pets look depressed! Many pet stores, especially independent ones, encourage visiting pet viewers, purchasing or NOT (ok, we love to 'look'), to handle their pets. Yes, they take them out of their 'cages' and show the pets to children and others. This is so cool, and I'd imagine the managers there know that their pets are more people-friendly and therefore healthier too! They do a fabulous job at this location. Clean, friendly staff, easy parking and basically everything you need for your animal family. It's so easy to shop here. In the front is grooming and in the back is the pet hotel, day care and doggie camp. The staff truly is superb and the things they think up for pup playtime are awesome. The other location has the Banfield Pet Hospital, which I think is a great place with a stellar staff and fair pricing. read more

To all veterans and villagers; run the other way, especially from the grooming department. These people will use a bait and switch tactic to steal your money. To begin with, we used their website to schedule our dog for a bath and full haircut but while logging in we got an error message that something did not work and to try again. we tried again and was able to continue. We selected a bath and full haircut but the application sent the bath and fruminator. I blame this on the obviously incompetent IT department. We have been in with this dog numerous times prior but the staff is highly incompetent and not caring about their repeat customers. They should have seen the mistake as they have the records of past visits and one look at the dog would let them now that he is hypoallergenic. This is a total waste of money to do the furminator as this dog does not shed. When discussing this with the assistant manager of the store, she did everything to remove blame from the store and company. There was no real restitution offered to correct the problem. I was also able to show where my wife and I can be signed onto the website with the same userid and password and it will display two different prices for the same services. Again, she did not care and stated it was not her problem. Again, I ask all veterans and Villagers ,like myself, to find a more reputable organization to do business with. read more

The PetsHotel located at this PetSmart is one of best of PetSmart system, if not "The Best" team in FL to work with. We needed to leave our little girl with them while we were on vacation in Florida. She is small and only weighs 5 pound. The team leader took her in to the play area to meet the other dogs. She was very cautions to make sure our little girl was not taken advantage of by the bigger dogs. After she introduced her to the playtime dogs she used water to spray into the bigger dogs face to keep them from being aggressive. By the end of her 2 week stay, we were informed she played and ran with 250 pound dogs. I cannot say enough good things about their dog boarding. The staff was professional, compassionate, amazing. This PetsHotel is on our favorite list and will be our stopping point anytime we visit FL as we can vacation without worries about the care of our little girl. We were vacationing at The Villages with our newly adopted rescue, Harley. My cousin told me about Petsmart's dog camp. I cannot say enough good things about their dog camp. The staff was professional, compassionate, amazing with the dogs, and each and every one of them couldn't have been friendlier. They took amazing care of Harley. He received a daily report card. He celebrated Bark to School Day and had his school picture taken. When he wasn't feeling well they called me. They were always in control of the dogs, whether there were 2 dogs or 27 dogs. I will be back next time we are at the Villages and totally recommend Petsmart's dog camp. Harley and I couldn't have been happier and I thank them for taking such great care of our Harley. I would avoid this petsmart for boarding and grooming. I was there Dec 2018. Boarded and groomed 2 dogs. One had an issue for several days and the never notified me of the issue. They were about to take the dog to the vet without calling me. Had they called, I could have dealt with the issue early on and saved the dog days of discomfort. Both dogs came back desperately needing water. Horrible service to boot. Took 45 min to get checked in. One dog was groomed and they forgot to groom the head area. LOVE this place and all the great people that work at The Villages location. They're always there when I need them and they take wonderful care of my dog Bella. I know when she goes for doggy day camp or overnight if im out of town she is in the best place possible. They have a great playroom and pet hotel. Definitely recommend them to everyone. If you're wanting to use a doggy day camp or board your pet this is the place to go. They'll take care of you and your fur babies like their own family. I showed them the current records and they rejected it because it was too current and didnt have an expiration date. The people here are not intelligent and the managers were not able to solve this issue because of apathy and arrogance. What an awful experience. I have my cat staying at this PetSmart Pet Hotel while I wait for my apartment. I have been extremely pleased with how well he has been treated and how caring the hotel staff has been. My main interaction has been with the staff in the hotel since I have yet to use their grooming services but the whole store is so clean and the aisle signage makes shopping so much easier! The hotel is so nice and modern! The big area they have for the pets to play while staying there is so nicely equipped to ensure the dogs have a fun but safe way to play and socialize! The girls working at the desk are knowledgeable and you can see they love their job bc on my 1st visit there I was reading over some of their pricing info after a tour & I watched 3 different employees stop to speak to an owner dropping off their dog for the day and all 3 girls called not only the customer by name but the dog as well! The dog literally lit up and began wagging his tail in recognition and was pulling away from his owner bc he wanted to follow the employee when he saw them so I think that's the best compliment they can receive and seeing that interaction is what convinced me I could rest easy knowing my dog was in caring hands until I returned and I have been taking him back at least a few times a week for camp ever since! read more
