most disrespectful people, I have ever met. The guy in the fish section, gave us the hold on finger and walked off and called somebody. Then came back and was very disrespectful about the fish we was trying to purchase. 0.29 cent goldfish, He said No, they won't survive in the 10 gallon tank we bought, we already have had fish and we told him that, an he still refused to sell us fish. My wife booked an appointment for our Yorkie to see the groomer at the Shawnee store. I took her in for her appointment and was informed, very rudely, that they could do nothing without an updated rabies vaccination. I didn't argue or debate, I just turned and left. Maybe y'all need a little human interaction training at the Shawnee store. I'll be dealing with your competitors going forward. read more

I'd just like to say how say how sad it is that pet smart cuts the bags on there cat and dog food before throwing it into the dumpster .... How sad is this when they could donate this much needed food to one of our local shelters here in town. But instead, they decide to cut the bags and empty it out how petty ever used PetSmart and shame on you for such waste.... we have a lot of starving animals here in town and out in the country and not to mention count too many countless shelters they are looking for cat and dog food but there you are throwing it in your dumpsters. Make sure the bags are cutting and emptying it out so nobody can retrieve it and give it to these poor starving animals that are on our streets. Shame on you! read more

I have no issues with the store or the employees itself as far as shopping goes. The staff are friendly and helpful. My issue is the grooming services. I dropped my dog off for an appointment I set up at 11AM. I was told it would take 3 hours, which I thought was odd. You would think the point of an appointment time is so that they can start when you drop off, that's not the case. I came back at 4 and they still hadn't not started on her. I finally got a call at 5, 6 hours after I dropped her off, and returned to pick her up. The bath they gave her was great, she smelled good and did not itch at all, which is normal because of dry skin. The grooming was incredibly bad though. None of the hair was even, she had spots that were trimmed much further than the rest and they didn't bother to attempt to brush her out after they trimmed her judging by the excessive amount of fur that came flying off. To be fair, I only used them because every other groomer was booked till the end of the next month but I really should have just waited. Stick to shopping here, don't use the grooming services if you have a dog with a thick coat. read more

Staff here is really super. They will help you with anything pet related. I say that because I have never asked them a non-pet related question. Who knows. They may be awesome with other stuff. Relationships, food, stocks heck I may have to ask some different questions next time I stop by. Pet supplies are a racket and the prices are what they are. Grooming department is he only places have had questionable help. One girl was awesome, she left and I couldn't find anyone else I liked. Not blaming them it could be me. Maybe they weren't as good with grooming but we could have made some great stock buys! read more

Today was not the first time I have had a negative experience at this store. In the past I have gone into the store to purchase merchandise that I had seen on their web sit at one price and then charged a much higher price at the register. Before they always corrected the issue with no problem. Then a few months ago we rescued a 8 week old puppy so we went to buy supplies and also bought a new puppy hand book full of ideas, tips and coupons. One of the coupons was for a puppy spa treatment, so we booked her an appointment. We took her in and thy told us that they would give her a bath and trim her nails and would call us when done. We went and had lunch and waited you would think that it wouldn't take to long to bathe and trim nails on a puppy, 3 hours later we still had not heard anything so I drove back to the store and asked for my dog. When I asked what took so long all they would tell me was that they got backed up. Again I asked for my dog, when they brought her up right away I could tell something was wrong. When I dropped my dog off she was a happy go lucky puppy who wanted to play and love on everyone, and when they brought her to me she was scared, whining and her little feet were wet. On top of that she smelled of urine you could tell she had been standing in urine. When I said something to the groomer all he said was "I guess I could rinse her off". My dog has not been the same since then. Today however was the last straw. We looked on line to get prices on otocinclus. They had them priced at 2.89, we even called before we left the house and had someone tell us that they had them at 2.49 and we thought that's even better. When we got to the store we found that the price on the tank was 3.49. At first we thought no big deal we will just have them price match the on line add. When we told the young lady about the price we saw on line she just walked off came back a few minutes later with her I-pad scanned the bar code on the tank compared the two, walked off came back a few moments later and said "that price is for Midwest City and OKC not this store" we then asked to speak with the manager and she just looked at us and said "I AM THE MANAGER". We told her that they have honored on line prices in the past and she then told us if we didn't like it lodge a complaint with corporate headquarters. There is no telling how many people they have ripped off in the past, so if you ever go into this store double check your prices and your receipt and make sure they didn't over charge you. read more
