I'd rate it zero stars if I could. I was in the store to buy treats. I went back to check out the grooming. They were running a Halloween special. It had marshmallow cologne, a Halloween bandana and a Halloween toy for my pup. I asked about it and was told it was $25. There was a coupon for $10 off and I asked if I could use it. I was told yes. So, I booked an appointment. She pre registered us and said my dog needed her rabies shot. I said ok, I'll get that before the appointment. No one said it had to be 24 hrs after the shot to have the appointment. I got the shot early that morning (first available appointment) and took my dog in for her appointment. I was told, "sorry it has to be 24 hrs before we can do it". I said no one told me that when I booked. I wasn't happy but I booked for the next week. On the 30th. When I went back. They were going to charge me $85 and they were out of all the Halloween items. I ended up talking to a manager who was not at all apologetic. I told him that was bait and switch and I wasn't going to pay that. I'd pay the $25. Long story short after dialogue with him which wasn't pleasant. He reluctantly came down to $40. But I was told $25 and with the coupon it would have been $15 ( I accidentally left it home). They never asked what kind of dog I had and it was there when they looked up her shot record. The manager rudely said he'd like to see me find a place to do a German Shepherd for 25$. Well I did. I didn't ask for any extras. Just the "special". I told him I even brought in some business for them by telling friends. They were not happy with the bait and switch either. They were charged more as well. They did not get the Halloween items and their appointments were before mine. I told him I wouldn't be back and my friends would not be back. He seemed not to care at all. So I won't be back and I don't recommend Pet Smart. They are not honest at all. By the way, Skylar did a good job with my pup and I did tip her. read more

I was a repeat customer with grooming services, but had a horrible experience last week. They cut the quicks on two of my dogs nails, and never bothered to tell me. I only learned there was an issue a few hours later when I found quarter sized droplets of blood on the bedding that we allow our dog to lay on. The entire pad was full of blood. Customer service response from "leadership" team was basically nothing but weak insincere apologies. I'll never set foot in a PetSmart store anywhere again. read more

My son Rain loves shopping at PetSmart each week for his pet hamster. We have sign up for the treats loyalty program at PetSmart, were we earn points to buy food, toys and housing items for his pet hamster. This is my son first pet; he got her as a gift on Valentines Day. He named his pet hamster, "Sandy Honey Fields" she is a Syrian Hamster. PetSmart has a huge selection of items for hamsters; they have an entire aisle with amazing products for hamster care. I love having a Pet Smart location on this side of town. And I love having items on the shelves for puppo to examine and sniff! Yes, Chewy might be a tad less expensive, but with Chewy Puppo and I can't share the 'shopping' experience. I know folk visit 'brick & mortars' and then order-on-line, but in MY book, that's just CRASS. Let's keep local stores in business! The parking area is level and clean. The store is spotless! There's 'emergency' supplies in case your furry friend has a 'accident', also. Today, Puppo & I visited to celebrate his Birthday #2. My boy has out grown his bed, and it's time for his 'big-boy' walking harness. Pet Smart didn't let us down! There were several brands/styles of harnesses, each with multiple adjustments to make 'em fit just right! We selected a red/reflect model by KONG. And there was a WALL of dog beds! All types and prices! Of course they didn't mind if Puppo tried 'em out, lol. It took a while, but eventually Puppo found one that was so comfy, I had to pry him outta it! So, my groomer cancelled today and my baby was in desperate need of a cut. We took her to PetSmart. I told the "technician" that Dolly is a girly girl, so I like for her to have longer hair, but that it needed trimmed out of her eyes. I even showed her a picture of how she typically looks(the pic in front of her on the fireplace). When I returned, it was a totally different "technician" that had done the cut, and she looks like the closeup pic. I have never seen a Yorkie with a face like that. They even mowed off her whiskers! I did not cause a fuss and paid for the service, because I know they can't glue her hair back on. But, when we got on the road, I noticed a hunk of her ear cut out with dried blood on it. Be careful when making returns, you're likely to be everything but outright accused of theft at this location! I had purchased a number of things and gone back to my car when I looked under a seat and realized I actually already had several of the items I'd just bought. Chiding myself for my absentmindedness, I pulled the three items I now needed to return out of the bag and walked straight back to the check out line. When it came to be my turn, I walked back up, explained the situation, and asked if I could return those three items. After a pause and a reluctant "Yes" from the checkout woman, she then asked me why I didn't bring the checkout bag and all my other purchases back in with me and proceeded to scold me about how strange it was and how I could be stealing from them right now. "No one's being accusatory, but how about next time you bring the bag." This woman demonstrated such a lack of professionalism by humiliating and brow beating me in front of a line full of people and her coworkers for a simple mistake that I'm sure happens regularly. read more

Had a TERRIBLE experience today at the petsmart in Powell. I will never return or recommend them to anyone. The supervisor on 3/20/23 at 330pm (older woman) at the grooming center was absolutely rude, aggressive, and hostile. She had a terrible attitude and customer service was non existent. For someone working with animals I would expect better. First she came out to assess my dog for an appointment and already seemed annoyed just by looking at him. Then she starts throwing a leash around his neck without even approaching him first or trying to calm his anxiety. I submitted the appointment request for a bath plus dematting. I also added he is anxious. To be treated as an inconvenience and to be talked down to is not appropriate. I would never leave my dog with someone who treats him that way before even taking him back for his appointment. Once we got the leash on him she rudely asked me "can you hold him still because I have a bad back and cant be pulled by him." This is ridiculous he is a dog. She also proceeded to argue with me about his breed and the care he is supposed to receive to his coat. She was rude and talking over me. I am absolutely disgusted by the behavior. I walked out. I spend thousands of dollars in petsmart. I will never return to this location again and will leave many reviews complaining about the poor treatment. At the end of the appointment my puppy was so anxious he pooped in the floor and she proceeded to stand there and laugh at my son while he cleaned it up. Absolutely unbelievable. read more

Went to shop for African Cichlids. Typically Pet Smart has a good aquarium livestock. This location has the whole section roped off and you cant get to within 6 feet of the tanks. Other Pet Smarts in town are not doing this and no other aquarium stores are either. . How can they expect to sell anything if you cant even see the fish. Very frustrating read more

I took my two dogs (mixed breed/rescues) to PetSmart for grooming because the Powell location was so convenient and I had purchased aquarium supplies there. Normally, I would not take them to a chain store, but after talking to the manager and grooming salon head, I gave it a try. I was happily surprised. The cost was about the same as I had been paying and they did an awesome job. My babies were happy and beautiful and their groomers performed several services that cost extra at other grooming places. I would HIGHLY recommend them for grooming; they did a particularly awesome job on the nails of both dogs and the grooming was excellent. It was obvious that the staff LOVED animals; it showed. read more

This is the third time in as many weeks we've tried to purchase new fish for our aquarium at this location. Always "short staffed" even though they're all hanging out up front together. Every question I asked was answered with "I don't know" or "I don't know what that is". Step it up, guys. If you're expecting help or knowledge, go somewhere else.
