Terrible service--this store prioritizes profit over its customers and their pets. Policies were not transparently communicated and seemed to change solely for the benefit of the storefront. Without delving too much into the specifics, the experience was frustrating due to a lack of professionalism, rushed interactions, and an overall dismissive attitude. The staff made me wait in line unnecessarily after initially assisting me, only to open another register instead of following through on resolving the issue. Despite further discussion, the employee refused to escalate the matter to a manager. I was simply trying to purchase food for my sick cats based on what was displayed in the store, yet I was made to feel like a criminal for doing so. This most recent experience was the polar opposite of one year ago. This was a different groomer named Mickey grooming the same dog. Collin no longer grooms dogs. It's been three weeks now and our dog is still not well since being groomed. There was NOTHING wrong with our dog before this experience. Our little dog needs to be sedated before being groomed. He's not over the top but he does find grooming to be extremely stressful and in hindsight we have gleaned that this groomer only exacerbated our dog's stress resulting in colitis. Apparently, he struggled to groom our dog so he held him down on his back and donned a plastic funnel collar on him. Probably not the best thing to do to a stressed out dog. In a nutshell, this groomer was too aggressive and our dog is paying the price. Collin wasn't aggressive. He didn't push our dog beyond his ability to handle a stressful situation. On the contrary, Mickey stressed the hell out of our dog. Instead of backing off he just forced our dog to comply. And yes, 3 weeks out from a grooming experience can still be an issue. The manager never reached out to us. Mickey left a voicemail in an effort to "reach out." That's great. What was once a really nice dog grooming experience has turned into a nightmare. My advice to you if you have a dog that finds grooming stressful is to go somewhere else. read more

PetSmart Cascade Station grooming review I've taken my elderly girl here probably a dozen times. We've seen different groomers, and they're all compassionate and caring. Usually we see Jeremy, who's just a total sweetheart, and my dog thinks so too! They always do a thorough job and I don't mind spending the $ because she's a big baby who won't let me put her in the tub. It's worth the $ to get a pro to do the job. Plus we get the teeth brushed, nails trimmed and they use good products. They actually emailed me the attached picture of my dog. How cool is that? read more

We brought our dog into this PetSmart (where we've brought her multiple times for a nail grind) and when we went in this morning, 2 females and 1 male were just standing and sitting and we explained we are a walk in and would like a nail grind! Well the guy seemed like we were bothering whatever they were not doing and asks the girl, "do you have time for a nail grind"? She said, "oh I guess so"; Like she was doing anything else. NOT!! The guy asks for our phone number, which we gave him. We only have 2 numbers and now they cannot find us in their system. He than says he can start a new file but we have to bring her vet records in along with her rabies vaccine. We've done this twice since the first time we brought them, they DID NOT document them so we had to bring them in again. NOT DOING IT A 3rd TIME. I went in the other day not expecting it to be that bad.... they weren't busy which made the fact that there was a dead fish in 15/30 tanks. Other fish were eating them, angel fish were dead and stuck to filters. I noticed them right when I looked into tanks... if you're not busy.... then your employees should be taking better care of your live animals and be taking dead fish out. Customer Service here can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes it's really great, sometimes it's awful (and I'm talking less than 1-star awful) I used to stop here once a week for crickets, but now I only come to this location about once per month. A couple of the long time employees know me and are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there are at least two employees who are rude, have no concept of customer service (or just plain don't care), and there's one employee in particular (middle aged guy with a long shaggy beard) who obviously hates his job and should not be working directly with customers! read more

I decided late in the afternoon today that I needed to bathe my dog- only it's a chore that I really don't enjoy. Thankfully I got onto the Petsmart Website and was able to book a bath service for my boy just an hour and a half later! Fit perfectly into my schedule. When I arrived at the grooming facility, Jeremy greeted Milo and I. He was very kind and my dog was instantly drawn to him, which made me feel comfortable leaving him there, Milo typically ignores most everyone if I'm around. We booked a bath with Samantha who was also very nice. She began discussing Milo's specific needs and any requests I had. I mentioned Milo's very sensitive skin and she recommended the hypoallergenic shampoo, and Jeremy added that I may like to try the Burt's Bees shampoo as it has the added benefit of moisturizing the skin. I happily agreed. I expressed concerns about the cleanser they may use in his ears, and Jeremy brought it to me and let me look it over. Samantha did a thorough check of my dogs skin and made sure to point out areas of irritation before taking him back. The entire check in process was perfect- I was very comfortable leaving my dog in their care. When I returned they notified me Samantha was able to trim Milo's rear nails- and didn't need to trim the front. I was amazed and very happy that they got through the nail trim. It is not a task Milo enjoys, or for that matter participates in. Thank you Samantha and Jeremy! My boy looks, feels and smells wonderful. And I will happily return for a service from either of you! read more

Staff: A- Very helpful, very friendly. They go out of their way to try and satisfy the customer. Product: B It's kind of off-putting to see crap brands like Alpo on the shelf. Feels a little Walmart-like. Everything else: C- Drove to the store based on a rep indicating that a particular item was in stock, but nobody could find it once I got there. Then, an employee suggested that I check petsmart.com and just walked away. No big, but their Internet reception is horrible. Even store personnel had trouble accessing the company website and concurred that reception is usually bad. Yeah, okay then, fix it. You're a billion dollar conglomerate, you CAN fix this. Lastly, there are no returns on vitamins and supplements once opened. WTF? Most decent independent pet shops (including giant Petco) have an easy return policy if the product is ineffective, they want you to be satisfied and buy something else. I wish this store was closer to my house. My cat has hyper sensitive skin. I've been trying to find a remedy to help him with his itching. I came here in my quest for information and remedies. I found what I needed and I also found a very helpful, informative employee. She gave me some great free tips on things to use for Jackson (AKA "The Catnip Kitty") Pretty much baby wipes and things like that for babies are safe for cats because they're so safe for children. The checkout was awesome also. The checkout clerk had brought his dog in. This big ol friendly German Shepherds sitting at his feet in the stall. I brought my dog in for a grooming and after waiting for 3 hours was told they are refusing to finish his haircut because he was being too wiggly which I had warned them about when I first brought him in and had stated this but that the other locations don't typically have an issue with it, she said it would be no problem then refused to finish the haircut and when I came in the original groomer went to the back to hide from me left the other groomers to deal with me and then they finally get the idea to have one hold him and the other cut and he was fine so I don't understand why the other groomer didn't have this logic, it seems the workers are not trained well enough and I will never be bringing my dog to a PetSmart location again and to top it off I still had to pay for this! I got my dog back with hair all over him pieces not cut and they stated they gave him multiple baths but he doesn't even smell good after all of that. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any dog company. read more

This review is for their fish services. I bought two Angel Fish from them on a Monday, on Tuesday one of them died, took it back Wednesday and got a replacement. On Thursday the replacement died. Then on Saturday the one left from the original two died. So in all three Angel fish have died in four days. We are not new to aquariums and not to Angel Fish. Have a larger tank setup and haven't lost a fish in over 3 years. When I returned one of the fish was talking with cashier and explaining the situation, he said "yea, they had something back there but think it's cleared up now." Well apparently it's not! They put too many fish in too small a tank for one thing. Went back and looked around some more and saw a tank with three dead fish sucked up against the pump. I might buy supplies there but never again a fish!!! read more

I really don't know what to say about petsmart each time I check-in into a different location. Even if I don't have much to say, I write them reviews with 4-5 stars if I had no problems and my check out was smooth:) I just needed to buy some hamster bedding~ It was on sale~~ with a Pet Perks card so I guess I can give it 5 stars:) If anyone can benefit from the Pet Perks lower prices, I would raise my hand up high! My wife tried to buy a kitten here. Instead of selling it to her, they gave her a useless phone number to call that went to voicemail and nobody ever called back. But she got ahold of someone in the store who agreed to hold a certain kitten for her until she got there. When she arrived, a couple was walking out the door with the kitten. Worst "sales technique" ever. Their in-house trainer, Matt, creepily followed me and my new puppy around the store while we shopped, and as I tried unsuccessfully to keep children from petting her. As I'm checking out, wrangling puppy, purse and purchases, he hovers. Then he asks if we're seeing a dog trainer. Yes, I reply, we just started private lessons. Undaunted, he decides to coach me anyway by pointing out the multiple things he thinks I did wrong while in the store. So I'm being critized in front of a group of strangers while try to soothe my puppy through a dog fight that has broken out in line behind me, and I just want to leave. But he keeps going on. Matt's attempt to make me feel bad about how I handle my pup is not only not selling me on petsmart's training services, the rudeness guarantees I'll never spend money there again. When we complained about this harassment to Chelsea, the manager, she didn't even apologize. She laughed and was unconcerned. I regret the hundreds of dollars I've spent there to date. I take my Pomeranian Lola to get groomed at their grooming salon there. The groomer that's taken care of her the most, I believe, is Lindsay. She is so nice, listens and asks questions about what I want, even though it's always the same lol, but I really appreciate her always checking in! She does an amazing job! I'm always really happy with how cute Lola looks, Lola prances around, she seems happier after a nice wash & cut too. Lola has BAD anxiety, she shakes bad when I drop her off but when I pick her up she's relaxed, chillin with Lindsay. I can tell that Lindsay handles Lola with care and is good to my baby! She always puts really cute bows on her too, which I always appreciate. I do the express appointments, which I didn't even know was a thing before. From what I understand, they are for dogs with anxiety, or for a quick job obviously. They don't kennel your dog, which is awesome. They get the whole job done in 1.5-2 hours! I had an issue the last time with a different groomer and the salon manager handled it very well. I highly recommend this salon. read more

Three stars only because they're a large, national chain, and I do prefer my local pet shops..... BUT this PetSmart stands above the others I have been to. Everyone is very nice, you're greeted when you enter, and people ask if you're finding everything you need. I pointed out to one employee that one of their finches had quite a bit of feather loss on his head due to some pretty intense pecking order attacks -- he was very grateful for the info, and called someone straight away to move the bird to a different cage. The store is clean, well stocked, and it's always awesome when you can bring your dog(s) inside a store. read more

I only go in when Chip is working because I know that it will be the best experience and I'll leave with exactly what I need (no more, no less). She is so patient and has sincere compassion w nervous animals, especially cats that would prefer to roll around in dirt and leaves then go to the "spa". Sad as it is, as i was putting Kitty in the car after her last groom, she had a nasty accident all over herself... i did not want to clean this mess up, besides she was JUST bathed 1/2 hr ago! I went straight back in there, and explained the situation, Erin didnt even blink, no big sigh, or contorted facial expression, just an understanding smile, and "Sure..no problem". i offered to pay her and she declined. Stepped out for a few minutes and returned to the groomer(Deserae) mistreating my dog, using rough and unnessesary force around the neck. From the other side of the glass I heard crying and yelping. My dog is recovering from a paw injury and Deserae was quick to defend her actions after reinjuring and abusing my pup. 10/10 don't recommend read more

I have been bringing my two small Australian Shepherds here for a few years now. Every summer I get "summer" cuts for them at the pet grooming salon. I ask them to take off some of the bulk with scissors or clippers with a # 3 or 4 attachment. Never had problems before today. They've always done a great job before today's experience. Unfortunately, I had Katie B (assistant manager or something at the grooming salon) that was supposed to do the grooming. She refused to listen, refused to cooperate, refused to do anything but argue with me, INSISTING repeatedly that they do not recommend shaving dogs of my breed. At no point did I ever ask for my dogs to be shaved. It's pretty hard to have a dialogue with someone who repeatedly talks over you, is one dimensional and definitely not confident in her dog grooming abilities. It was quite obvious she has no idea what she is doing, so I cancelled the services. Katie B- you are a big joke! Stick to stocking shelves. read more

Took my Lhasa Apso in for his first hair cut ever, mind you he has had all of his shots including his bordatella. About ten days later he was lethargic not eating and slept all day long. Took him to the vet and he has kennel cough and pet smart did not clean his anal glands completely so the vet had to and they said if they didn't do it he was close to having it burst and would get an infection. When I called pet smart the girl I talked to was very uninterested in what I was telling her and frankly didn't give a shit. The only reason I know he got it there is because he hasn't been around any other dogs except there. Don't take your dog here unless your prepared to pay $300.00 in vet fees or if you just don't care about your pet. I for one will never be back. read more

I could not find the store manager, and PetSmart.com does not care the customer feedback. This is the only way I can share my pain last night (10/24/2014, 7:50 pm). Cashier's name is Ashley, and he talked to the other cashier just next to her. The other cashier did not have the name tag, but 5'5" ~ 5'7", nose piercing. Two employees talked and ignore me during the sale transaction. At least, they should pay attention to the customer, or eye-contact. Did not say 'good night' or 'good evening'. I usually shop at the Petsmart in Longview, WA but I had to make a trip to the airport today. I recently bought a sugar glider (this little creature looks like a cross between a chipmunk and a flying squirrel) and I had her with me. The "Manager" Matt went on and on about how ugly she was in front of two other employees and several customers. It was very hurtful to me and I was very shocked and embarrassed . I will never shop at this Petsmart again. And on a final note, I have my sugar glider, 2 Border Collies, a cat and fish. Bad move Matt. You cost this store a lot of money.
