Exceptional Service from Gary at PetSmart - Myrtle Beach, SC I had the pleasure of receiving truly outstanding service from Gary at PetSmart in Myrtle Beach--something I've never experienced at any other location. He took the time to genuinely listen to what I was looking for, looked up the information I needed, and personally guided me in the right direction. His attention to detail and customer care were above and beyond. If I lived closer, this would absolutely be my go-to PetSmart for all my pets' needs. They have great people working at Pet Smart in Mount Pleasant. Adopt an animal there. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.

Very rude staff. Speaking with customers in condescending tones when asked a simple question like "where is your bathroom located". Instead of answering such a simple non time consuming question with a simple point of her finger the clerk instead chose to respond "CAN'T YOU SEE I'M BUSY WITH THIS CUSTOMER!!!!!! I'LL GET TO YOU AS SOON AS I FINISH RINGING UP THIS CUSTOMER!!!!!!!". Actually her hostile response took much longer of her time than simply pointing and replying "Over there." Another extremely obese employee with long messy uncombed hair also barked at me when I asked "Can someone help me with the cat potty systems?". I have never bought one before and wondered which one is best. She barked "WE'RE GETTING HELP FOR YOU!" in the most rude vulgar and low class tone of voice". Low class employees certainly make a pet store appear unfriendly rude and uncaring. I'll buy an expensive potty system elsewhere as this store doesn't deserve my business. read more

My family took there pets here to be groomed and the service is terrible the girls are RUDE. They don't clean the babies ears and they leave hair mats every time!! Isn't this their job as a groomer?? It's just pathetic and makes me mad because I love these dogs like family! They don't even deserve 1 Star! What happened to Customer Service and taking PRIDE in one's work!! read more

I took my dog in to have a nail trim and grind and it was amazing!!! Skylar (sp?) took care of her and was wonderful! She was gentle with Paisley and even with all the other dogs and people, she didn't bark or get nervous. I can't wait to go back when we need a grooming!!! Horrible store! Had a very condescending grooming tech argue with me today. Have been in customer service my whole life. This woman has no customer service skills at all. She basically told me to leave thinking she was too good for this customer or her business. I spoke with the store manager who wouldn't even leave his register to go talk to her. I will never go back to this store. I advise you don't either! read more

This particular Pet Smart store is Awesome! The employees are super helpful & friendly. The store is Super Clean and Always stocked. The fish department is always stocked great, with Really sparkling clean tanks. ( no yucky dead fish ) I Highly recommend this store! read more

Took my 6 pound shih tzu yesterday for full grooming. Told the girl exactly what we wanted. She said that was all written down from last time. Randi has always done a wonderful job. We asked to have her head left full. They shaved her head flat on top and shaved the rest of her face and have 2 horns chopped up on the sides of her ears. She is tiny and practically has no face or head left. I am so sad. I don't believe Randi cut her. I also don't believe they even trimmed her nails. read more

My gecko has gone multiple times without crickets because of this place... they rarely have crickets and when they get shipments in they just don't get certain sizes. I've gone atleast 5 times and have only been able to get crickets once. When you call they don't have anyone to pick the phone up...better off at petco read more

I came to buy 2 hamsters for my kids with little knowledge of everything I would need, luckily an employee named bob helped me through the process told me everything I would need. He was very patient and answered all of my questions with no problems, and even made small suggestions about which hamsters I may like. There is not even close to enough staff at this location to properly run this business . Also, when I took my new puppy for his first visit they said they didn't have him in the system...EVENTHOUGH they had called me the day before to confirm. I needed to bring my chocolate lab in to get her nails cut and filed (No bath today) Upon arriving I explained to the young lady in the grooming area that my lab was having Anxiety ( due to meds she is on) Within minutes Randi ( the head groomer) tried to calm her and get on the floor to make her more comfortable ( but, my pup wanted to get on the table) and Randi lifted her making my pup comfortable! Within the next few minutes, Gary ( I later found out was the store manager) Comforted her, Calming and Petting her, assisting the groomer in caring for my girl! I'm Always satisfied when I take my pet to PetSmart to get her groomed but, today their Empathy and Compassion far exceeded any expectations I might've had and I Thank them both for their understanding! Now, ( with that said) Upon checking out ( the woman at the register) knew the circumstances as I had explained my pet was anxious due to her medications, she then offered my pup a cookie, ( I said Please sit) and I Again said she's a little anxious, maybe just tell her to (sit first) but, she interrupted me and said "(Well, she's dealing with the trainer)" as my dog took the cookie The woman at the register (Quite Dramatically) shook her hand, holding her hand, Rubbing it, asked a young worker if he'd stand in for her while she went to bathroom to check her hand (??) I asked are you alright?? She said oh, yes! and shook her hand Again! there was No Blood, she DID'T Bite her, she just abruptly took the cookie !! I SAW her hand only standing 6 " from her so I was confused as to her reaction!!!! My dog was TRAINED by PetSmart (trainers) and just an FYI if you're looking for groomers Any of the locations are great, if you're looking for a trainer I'd steer clear of the one on 544 by Kohl's! This woman not only didn't LISTEN to what I'd said to her, she TOTALLY MISSED the cues that my dog hadn't calmed down (enough) or sat down to accept the cookie ( Training 101) read more

Store is organized and stocked, but there is not enough staff to provide customer assistance. They do carry the prescription dog food that my dog needs. Petsmart has a large assortment of pet supplies and fish. They are conveniently located on the south side of Route 544 next to Kohl's with plenty of parking. read more

I went in today with two toddlers and my excitable furry baby in tow. Heather found us in awe back in their fish area. (Very impressive and clean set-up compared to other branches we've seen.) She was welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She greeted my pup with open arms, called her by name once she learned it, and after learning that our daughter was researching the different kinds of fish to get for her birthday, she stuck up a conversation with my 4 year old about which fish she was curious about and wanted to learn more about. Very great experience and a highlight to our day! Another staff member (didn't catch her name) was kind enough to let us be an audience to the health check and feedings of the hamsters and rats. I have to say these little creatures get very good care at this PetSmart and I was very pleased to see the special care and attention they give to each animal there. read more
