We have a 11year old Coton de tuliar....hes been groomed all of his life. We took him here for grooming the 1st of july....we asked for a puppy cut...he came out ratty looking uneven....hes ears didnt look washed or bushe.....his head was spikey with un even mustache.... Because we were here for a friend in hospice and the a funeral we couldnt get him back in for 3weeks. Once again i took him asked for a puppy cut which they said they understood. 4 hours i came back.....he looked un even..and no puppy cut...and they wanted to charge another $60.00 The "lead groomer" took another hour to try and fix the mess. Nothing helped....he was a mess. This was not a profession grooming. I contacted The main office and was told i would hear from a district a manager in 24 to 48 hours.....never hear a word. read more

PetSmart is one of the many chain stores making their debut in the Lawton area. They will receive plenty of attention based on their location and the fact that they are helping to bring Lawton's shopping possibilities into the present day. PetSmart is a one stop shop for all of your pet's needs. Heck, you can even pick your pet there, as they partner with local shelters to bring adoptable animals into the store to meet the public. On the opposite end of the store they feature a grooming station, and they encourage humans to bring their animal companions (Ok, dogs really. Please don't bring your fish!) in to look at the toys and treats available. Here's the problem with PetSmart- the pricing. There are already quite a few pet stores in the Lawton area, locally owned. I've been in a few of them, and been happy with the selection and the price. PetSmart does have a larger collection of goods, but at a higher cost. They do have a loyalty card available, but even so the prices for some of the toys were much higher than I have found in other stores. I know that there is no hope of their prices being lowered. This is a national chain, and the prices are set somewhere else. I also know that they will enjoy a steady stream of people, as they are new and convenient, and they really do have a huge selection of merchandise. My suggestion is that people pay attention to the pricing here, and that you compare that price to the pet store you have used in the past. I'm all for spoiling our pets (Ask me how many cushions my cats have, I dare you!) but not at these prices. read more

The staff here are super nice and very helpful! I was changing my babies food I believe she gets tired of eating the same thing :( well a nice lady saw I looked confused I guess on what to get that is more "organic like" for her ( I find organic type food helps keep her weight down) . They use to be good at grooming but they are getting progressively worse. They trim my dogs in any style of their choice and say, "that's what the paper said." When I have them pull up the information, that is not what the paper said. They seem to for get to trim the nails and pull the ear hair , they get mad and make excuses why they didn't do the job they applied for. read more

I took my 5yr old Border Collie to get a full groom (top package) dropped her off and was told it will be up to 3hrs. Two hours later I get a call saying I could pick up my dog that unfortunately they were unable to do anything with her except a bath due to her being too nervous/anxious. I go and pick her up and she looked worse than what she did going in. I go to pay so I could get my poor dog out of there quick and find out that they tried to charge me full price (70.00$) with a10% off discount for just a dog bath. Let me remind you nothing else was done, (nails, anal glands, ears, teeth, or even brushed). My poor baby even had a matted ball of fur hanging from under her tail. I asked to speak to the manager (Eric) and he at first only tried to give me 25% off. After continuing to try and explain why I'm so unhappy and refusing to pay that much for a bath I could have done at home myself (at lease she would have been brushed), Eric decided not to charge me anything. I tried to explain it's not about the money, it's the fact that you kept my poor dog for two hours just to give up on her and leave her a disaster. I took her to Just for k9 as soon as we left and they did the job that petsmart refused to do and they said she did absolutely great. I was even able to sit there and watch from a distance and I could not understand why petsmart could not handle my dog. Yes she was nervous what dog wouldn't be. Just left cashier didn't ask me for pet perks rewards number. Then rings me up says you saved 3 cents. I said what about my pet perks number? She says oh I entered a community code for you. I said, we'll if it doesn't go on my number I won't get credit for it on my account and then won't get my earned coupons. She just looked at me blankly and I stared back. After about a minute she began unpacking my bag turned in a huff and said what's your number. All said I saved 2.50 with MY number as suppose to her 3 cents community card. This really gets me I bought almost $100 of things and she was giving me an issue about my PP CARD. and never asked which they are suppose to do and never said thank you for shopping. If they were not the closet place and it was convent to go there in a bind for something I'd never go back! read more

The service was great . My dogs really seemed to like the groomer. They were really willing to work with me on my reschedule . My dogs looked amazing Afterwards !! I'm very happy that their nails were cut properly . The only true complaint I have is it took almost 4 hours for one dog to be groomed. I was really impressed with their grooming salon in every aspect. The customer service was superb, my dogs where happy when I picked them up, and my dogs looked great! I wanted to have my pet groomed and I spoke to a groomer on Friday, she sounded professional gave the prices for the services I was requesting, went on to tell her I would be on Saturday. So, I showed up on Saturday and the first question I was asked was do you have a appointment. (I had been there before w/no appointment) Well no I didn't. Heather did a wonderful job grooming our Terrier Mix. She even called after she had done his haircut to ask if she could make it a little bit shorter because it didn't look right to her. We agreed and, he turned out looking absolutely adorable. Thank you, Heather! I also love the fact that Petsmart holds regular adoption events with rescues from our area. When we adopted from an event here, we received an adoption coupon book with many valuable offers, including a 50% off grooming coupon and free bag of food. Wish I could give them a negative 5 stars. UPSET is an understatement. Deterred, disappointed, thrown, sad, mad, I can go on. Took our 2 Golden Retrievers to get a TRIM. Set up appointment for 0900 when we got there they said appointment was for 930 but the text from PetSmart clearly said 0900 and that is what I scheduled for over the phone. We specifically told them to use nothing less than 1 inch and to TRIM their hair. Then they said it will be about 4 hours till they get to our dogs and they will call; but there were no other dogs there. (Why the HECK did I schedule an appointment for 0900 and you say it was 0930 and then you say 4 hours later they will be ready, people make plans when they schedule appointments). When we picked them up my boy's tail was never touched they used a half inch on body on both of the dogs and their hair is extremely short, ( no more curly hair on my boy :-( , legs uneven on both dogs, front legs were cut but back legs were not touched, hair under their torso was shaved and my girls ears were not even trimmed or touched. Now their hair will probably not grown back like it was. When person who cut the hair was approached we told them this is not what we asked for (and she came from the back like she knew she was going to be paged when dogs were going to be picked up) she said she knows this is not what we asked for and she said that she was sorry but she had made a mistake and had to even it out so it will look right. She offered to fix it; but after this job we would not allow them to touch them again. They didn't offer no money off or compensation for the terrible job. Now we have to cancel the dogs photo shoot and wait to take family photos for their hair to grow back, they are no more Blue Ribbon award winning looking. Wife told me I was going to be very upset that they did not follow neither one of our request when I get back from business trip. From what she told me I am already upset. Will not EVER NEVER take dogs to a PetSmart again. Seems like they allow anyone with a certificate to cut hair on any dogs. They need to have specialist for long hair dogs and not let people practice when they know they are not sure of themselves and SUCK!!!!! Thanks PetSmart, summer ruined. Recommend to send your groomers to shelters to practice on dogs who do not have owners to get pissed off at a bad hair cuts or lack of skills or watch some Youtube videos and practice on a Chia Pet or a stuffed animal or your own pets or your own head, something other than other people Pets. This is not a school where people pay 10 bucks for you to practice on their dogs. I have taken my pets to vets in different states when PetSmart was not there who has done a way better job than this. Pets our like our children, when a barber or hair stylist messes up your child's head or cuts more hair than you asked for, you will get mad. read more

I take my dog here once a week so he can practice his manners and I can buy him a toy and some treats. The employees are always nice and helpful and they have a good variety of items. They also have some really cute halloween costumes in right now. They have cleanup stations if your dog makes a accident. Please make sure you clean up after your pet because if they pee and you let it dry there other dogs will smell it and try to pee there as well. I would not however, take my dog there to get groomed. My friend recently took her dog to get his nails trimmed and when she picked him up he had a huge bruise and a bleeding scratch on his leg. The employee didn't mention anything until they asked about it and then she said Oh yeah he almost fell off the table. When dogs are on the table being groomed they SHOULD NOT be left unattended that is how they fall. It shows that some employees there are irresponsible and I wont trust them with my dog. read more
