I wish they had cameras that people could open and check on their dog, but I also understand the can of worms that would open. We have had a few issues with our dog eating things she wasn't supposed to, that ended up with expensive vet bills. The team was very responsive, caring, and investigated until they figured out what she was eating. I worry that it's a ratio issue - too many dogs and not enough supervision. But, they corrected the access issue between the problem chews and our pup and we haven't had a problem since.

Best part is that when I picked him up, he was stress free and took a nap on the car ride home. At other places I've boarded him, he's been panting and restless on the way home.

A…read moreemployee (who's name and pic I have saved in my phone) was standing in the doorway when I walked in the first time, at 1pm seeming to do nothing, not even welcoming customers into the store. I indicated that I was there to pick up my online order and she told me to get in line and wait my turn, I showed her in the app where it states to grab an employee to help get the order in order to skip the line. She said, wait in line like everyone else, and when you get to the front, the cashier will get the order from the cabinets behind her. 20 minutes later, after waiting in line, indeed the cashier did grab my order out of the cabinet behind her. Later at around 5 pm I returned to petco to supposedly skip the line and pick up my second order, surprisingly, same employee was still standing in the doorway, still seeming to do nothing , but now a new employee was standing with her, only he didn't want to help either, other than to tell me to wait in line like everyone else. So moral of this story is I've learned Chewy is cost comparative, you really do get to skip the line, and they usually have your order to you the next day;)

The communication about what we wanted done and the care that was taken to groom our kitty, in a way that made him feel comfortable, was top notch. Our cat is older, and has loose skin flaps that can be difficult to groom around. Time and care were put into grooming these areas very carefully to avoid any burns or cuts with the razor. He was also given lots of pets and treated with absolute respect while there. When we picked him up, he was happy and is now feeling so much better without all that extra fur. We will be going here from now on. Thanks so much!

My granddaughter has a mini doodle puppy who got a weird haircut from another groomer. We took her…read morein here and Chris spent time showing her how to brush her and explaining the issues with doodle hair and haircuts. So when she needed a new grooming we took her there and got very good service and good job. Chris called in advance to let us know the puppies ears were very matted and if she couldn't she wouldn't pull on that hair. If she couldn't get it combed she might have to shave them which turned out to be the case. But she let us know and explained what the problem was. Basically the granddaughter needs to do a better job of home grooming so this won't happen. It's true she can be pretty straightforward regarding your need to do your part, she can't magically solve problems that came up in the weeks between groomings. If a dog gets too matted then she won't torture it by trying to comb out excessive mats that shouldn't have been there; so she'd have to shave those areas and sometimes the whole dog. I'm pretty sure this is what happened with the dissatisfied reviewer, and who didn't appreciate being told that they needed to take better care of the dog at home. That's what happened to our puppy at the first groomer. We just didn't know it yet. I appreciate Christine giving instructions.
