We use the pet stay hotel and the staff are always accommodating and with good service. Our dog seems happy when we return and not coated in poop (like they actually clean their cages). You can get add ons to the stay like play time and interactions. The groomers are always very nice, and handle the dogs well. When you pick up, they give you a nice summary of the stay including how they ate, if they slept okay and what happened. If you need to board your animal, they do an excellent job. read more

Yeah this stuff does not discriminate just ask our Lola! /; Living near this Petsmart location I see the attached "advertised online price" and so I make that short drive over where I'm at the counter and the lady states "we can match it". She then proceeds to ask for my personal information aka phone number! I state quite bluntly I do not give out my phone number! She then proceeds to tell me this "advertised" price is for "members only". Shaking my head as I'm thinking about corpoarate bs as I exit the store heading to Home Depot next door. Thinking about it further as that Former GS / ISSM... accountability/transparency I make that decision to run back in the store asking, "are you manager and by the way what is your name?! "Shelby" and so I expose Petsmart once again for deceptive advertising because you should know before you walk into a Petsmart you should not have to provide everything but your blood type in order for that advertised price to be honored PERIOD! Because this is what I do to expose bad business no matter the entity I can only imagine that supposed Manager will chime in to save face where there was that "misunderstanding" For the recor YOU, there was no misunderstanding!!! read more

PetSmart - Believe me you have options! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

The groomer walked in 5 minutes late, no biggie. Then took another 15 minutes to set up. He was getting his summer cut down and apparently there was an issue and he tried to escape while being leashed-groomers notes. Which is not normal for him. He's gone to the groomers since he was 4 months. So the reason behind not finishing the hair cut and leaving him half shaved was because he was trying to escape. When I got home I noticed he had two cuts on his back from being buzzed down too short. No wonder he was trying to escape. This will be his last time here. read more

I was convinced our small dog would be fine if we allowed the "academy" to groom her. She came home with a limp. The vet says a ligament is torn in her leg due to trauma. She also "boot scoots" since Petsmart groomed her. Another visit to the vet shows they tore an anal gland . I asked to see the video and I've been met with excuses and assurance that she was fine when she was there. Find another groomer. That visit to Petsmart will end up costing us well over $3000. read more

I'm sorry to have to write this. I've never been one to take my pet to a groomer until I got my Scotty two years ago, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I've always been satisfied with the grooming PetSmart has done. It was easy to schedule, I like the one stop shop of it all, but after two years of taking him here they are suddenly telling me he's impossible to deal with and aggressive?! He's never hurt anyone in his life. He's never been an issue before, and now they're charging me an ", inconvenience fee" because he was supposedly so hard to deal with. I can't help but think they hurt him or mishandled him. There's no explanation. Also they didn't cut his hair. It's always taken 4+ hours as well, which I've never understood....I think I'll just have to diy moving forward. Very disappointed. read more

PetSmart has some discriminatory practices when it comes to minority customers. I made a purchase that needed to be returned. Never used, and I had the receip. I was told I couldn't get CASH back although I used my debit card and the return policy on the back of the receipt clearly states when using a debit card you can get your return refunded in cash! I was beyond humiliated (9/6/23) 2 weeks ago when Manager, Dwayne told me that he didn't care what the return policy stated, he told me that's not the way he runs his store. The sad thing is you have managers like this that go rogue, discriminate against customers without any regard because they petsmart lacks a formal way of handling "leadership complaints." I started doing more business with chewy due to the way I've been treated as a African American customer. These issues are definitely going to have to be addressed formally on an external platform. I've waited two weeks for someone to call back and address this. I don't want any contact from VARINICA HARGINS! I will file complaints with the Missouri human rights commission for discriminatory in a public establishment to say the least and on the company for lack of response and a history of this type of continuous behavior. This is the second incident similar in nature in 6 months; BBB, Consumer protection bureau and certainly on social media so that others are aware of my discriminatory treatment at PetSmart. read more

Weatherby, a Curly Coated Retriever, an AKC registered breed Appt: Thursday, March 17, 2022, 9 am. Was a "Fur master-type "brush/blade" used? As you may know, this has a blade. All of Weatherby's beautiful body curls were cut/bladed off yesterday. However, it looks like her tail was not even combed out. I was explicit yesterday: no trimming. I brush Weatherby at least twice a week. She had NO MATTS or tangles when I brought her in yesterday. Anyhow, thank you for the bath . The nail trim/grinding was very nice. We will not be back. I will tell our next groomer: No Trimming. No blades. Thank you. read more

Petsmart at Tiffany Springs, KCMO (store #1894) is by far the BEST Petsmart location as well as all-around pet services provider. Being prior military, I have lived in many states (and countries) and have taken my previous dogs (who lived to 14 and 15 yrs old) to other pet providers through the years (other Petsmarts and pet store chains, private dog caretakers, trainers and dogsitters). But I have never been able to take my dogs to just one location where all the services were top notch coupled with such great, understanding and caring staff and medical providers. I've been taking my dog, Kona, to this location since she was 10 weeks old (she is 18 mos old now) so my dog has been able to experience all services here- Banfield Pet Hospital, Petsmart Hotel and Daycare and the grooming salon- and I'm telling you, this is such a special Petsmart. So this review is long overdue. Most, if not all, of the staff and managers (Nicole, Britanny, Max, Dakota, Ashley...more I know I am forgetting) know Kona by name and love her as much as Kona loves them all back; they are such a wonderful group of people...I can't praise them enough!! Kona is always excited when it's time to "go play and see friends" at day camp (I work full days and take her at least 5xs/week so she's not home alone with lots of chocolate lab energy being pent up.). Kona is a typical, sweet but high-energy Labrador Retriever but they are always so patient and loving with her! Day camp also has cute and fun themed parties for special occasions, holidays and other just fun days (Easter; Spring; Fall; Halloween, etc,). They also take lots of pics to post to their IG and FB so you get to see how your pet is also doing while you're not with them. And when Kona was sick (twice), they quickly isolated Kona to prevent other dogs from getting sick as well and call me immediately to let me know how she was doing. Both times, they arranged with Banfield to get her medically seen as soon as possible so she could get diagnosed and then either took her back to her room at camp or let her stay at Banfield until I could return from work to pick her up. The amount of stress they alleviate me from so that I don't ever worry about Kona when she is under their care is priceless. Daycare and Banfield also have been so accommodating whenever I have to drop Kona off just a bit earlier so I can make it to work on time. I thought I might have to bring her to another daycare but I was able to keep her with the Petsmart system of care because this Petsmart takes care of their own pets and customers! like no other. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would, because they truly deserve it. read more

We have loved getting to know the staff at the Tiffany Springs location. Montana trained Max as a puppy, and now 18 months later this is his home away from home. They have a fun photo shoot each month that captures all the moments we cannot be there. We love the grooming staff as well and appreciate all the extra efforts! You all rock! read more

My dog requires a prescription diet, since I typically run errands over the weekend, that's when I visit PetSmart to purchase his canned food. Consistently they are out and I have to make a second trip to the store during the week. If they can't keep it in stock, maybe they need to order more of it??? Or hire someone who can actually handle the ordering process??? Covid is over as are the supply chain issues. I was trying to purchase local and help the local businesses, but since they do not seem to care about losing business, I have no problem switching to on-line purchasing from a different business else and saving a few bucks in the process. read more

I went in to buy another goldfish to add to my aquarium, the sales woman Brook (who is the manager) refused to sell me the fish due to the fact she thought my tank wasn't big enough to her liking. She was rude and condescending. She informed me that she was the store lead and didn't have to sell me anything. I called corporate while in the store and I guess she was right, she get to be prejudice against anyone she dislikes. This is an absurd policy for a corporation to have. No wonder she has such a poor attitude, perhaps if she was on less of a power trip she wouldn't have so many dead fish floating in those tiny tanks, but instead in proper sized tanks with homes. Thankfully I went to Petco who was happy to sell me a fish, while being pleasant about it. read more

PetSmart is currently running a buy two get one free option on their toys. My sister-in-law, who's sister is a Petsmart manager in Tulsa, called me and told me about the sale and realizing it was a great opportunity for me to load up on toys for my three dogs and one foster, I headed straight down to Petsmart. I had about $80 in toys when I was informed that this store in particular the manager was reprimanded by her District manager for price matching other stores and chooses not to price match anywhere but Petsmart online. So my brother and sister-in-law in Atlanta had been price matched and Tulsa price matches but apparently not the store in Tiffany Springs in Kansas City. So I told my kid, put all those toys back. And they said to me, well you can still buy them here we have Buy two get one free. And it was still cheaper to go through Chewie. So I placed my chewy order and they will be here in two days. Free shipping. And Petsmart, you have lost a customer. read more

The experience I have from this location has taught me to just wait and go to Miles of Exotics. These employees avoid customers waiting to get crickets. So when they don't come you go stand in line for ten minutes to tell them you need crickets and pay for your crickets. Then when you prefer to pay there then collect your crickets so you don't have to stand in line again to pay they are confused. Just go to Miles Of Exotics. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and while you are waiting in line they take your order on crickets and have them bagged and at the counter ready for you to pay. No need to wait in a long line twice. read more

I have been taking my Maltese to the same groomer for over 7 years. He was impossible to even trim. Scared to death he would shake to the point I just wanted to take him home. But then I took him to Peterson's where he had the same groomer for several years. This month his fur was out of control, so I called usual groomer just to find out she had quit no forwarding place or phone number. I took a chance on PetSmart with Sarah and I will be taking my dog there the rest of his life. She has got to be the best groomer I have ever taken Max to. So if you love your dog like I do and want to trust someone else please ask for her . She is working at the Tiffany Springs shopping center. read more

I went to get advice and assistance purchasing a bark collar. Rather than showing me the options I received a rather rude lecture from not one but two sales girls informing me it is not the policy of pet smart not to torture dogs. I attempted to explain that I had just taken my dog to a ten day training and had been told that there were options other than shock therapy. However I was attacked by mere children working in the store and I was not given the opportunity to make an informed decision for myself. Had the young ladies taken the time, as requested, to show me all the options they would have found I was not there to abuse a dog I paid 1200 dollars for along with an additional 800 dollars in training. I was attempting to find options to alleviate barking so as to not disturb neighbors. If pet smart is so appalled by devices they sell in their own store perhaps they shouldn't sell them. "Petco" was more than happy to assist me in finding the appropriate collar and in showing me all the options. I shall in the future take all my business to Petco. read more

I really like Pet smart and this location is pretty good. They all know my Finn (little dog) and he absolutely loves their doggy daycare. They took great care of him when he stayed at the Pet hotel for a couple days. I get him groomed here, too and for the most part they do a descent job-although sometimes I feel that they could spend a little longer brushing his teeth and making sure his nails are grinded the same length. I would still take him there for grooming however. Most of the staff are super friendly. I feel like my Finn is in safe hands. They have great coupons and run deals/sales often. I especially like that they added doggy valet. The price is a bit high for day camp, but my little guy loves it. If they dropped the price down-he could go more often, but right now he is looking at a once a week visit. read more

PetSmart - Pet Groomers Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

This is a pretty decent Petsmart - much nicer, newer feeling, and cleaner than some of the others I've been to, and it's close to my home, which is an extra bonus. They offer grooming, a vet office, and a pet hotel here...but I haven't used any of those services. I do, however, come here to buy our dog's food (Wellness), which used to only be available at specialty stores. So, I'm thrilled to be able to buy her a high quality food without trekking all over town to find it! Their food and treats selection is actually really good (they have quite a few of the "specialty"/high quality options in stock), and they stock flea and tick medicine, too, which you used to only be able to get at a vet's office. Sadie (our dog) is also a fan of their toys - she recently scored a $2 squeaky stuffed walrus, which she loves. The staff are always friendly to both their human and animal customers, and while I always see people in here shopping with their dogs, again, it's very clean. Accidents must be cleaned up right away! Petsmart does have local groups bring in pets for adoption on the weekends, which is cool. You are also asked when checking out if you'd like to make a donation to help homeless animals, which I love. And while I'm not a fan of buying a pet at any store, the small pets and fish that they do have for sale here always look healthy, well cared for, and their living areas are kept clean. It's definitely an A-OK place. read more

For a smaller Petsmart this place has a great selection. I've never came to this store and been disappointed. It's always clean and has great deals to boot. We take our dog here for Day Care. The staff are friendly and take great care of him. He loves coming to "his store" and seeing everyone. We definitely recommend the Petshotel for anyone looking for these kinds of services. We also love the training staff at this Petsmart! They really know their stuff and are able to help resolve most any kind of "problem behaviors." If you have questions about almost anything, they are available wandering the store and very eager to help you out. I am not as much a fan of the Bansfield Pet Hospitals inside the stores. We took our dogs for a while, mainly for the convenience of having everything under one roof. The doctors seem to be knowledgeable and pretty top notch, but they seem to nickel and dime you. Our vet told us that a heart worm test would only be good for 6 months and then would need to be repeated. Our new vet told us that the test was good for a full year. read more

This store has great items, good customer service, & good doggie day camp. I take my Husky to the doggie camp about once a month & he always seems to like it. I love looking at the dogs playing through the window. The toys are like all dog toys over priced but there will be a great sale if you wait. Grant it, it might be gone when you go back but hey you saved $$$, right?! The lines are always long just like Walmart (I never go there any more because of that). But unlike Wally world you will be greeted with a smile once at the register. read more

We left our two Boston's overnight at the Tiffany Springs Petsmart hotel in Kansas City, MO and could not be more disappointed in how we believe they were treated. First of all, they didn't know I'd left a blue robe for our babies to sleep with until they said "oh, they peed on that so we took it away." Keep in mind, our Boston's never pee anywhere except outside so this is a sign of real anxiety. Then, I realized they had given them none of their favorite treats. I asked why and was told we tried, but they wouldn't take them. Very, very highly unlikely unless they were completely stressed out, and if that's the case, why didn't they sit with them and try to sooth them? They were shaking so hard when I picked them up, and one of them even peed on me, which again is something neither have ever done before. My gut tells me they shut them in their "suite" and ignored them until we came to pick them up. Never ever again. read more

We bought a new 10 gallon fish tank and after getting it set up and cycled (and properly balanced) added 8 small fish as was "approved" by the sales person. (Although she was rude as well). Two days later we had 5 new baby fish. We will eventually get them out and into their own tank. Today one of the new bigger fish was dead and I went to replace him. I was informed by the fish section person that I just had too many fish and too much ammonia even after I told her I checked my levels daily. So no replacement fish. Just a rude employee who likes to pretend she is smarter than all the people that keep her employed. I'm all for keeping pets in a proper environment the fish people at petsmart take it to a whole new level. I will take my business (and I have lots of animals to buy for) to another pet store. They get an extra star for the person who helped me pick out my tank. She was awesome. read more

This is a full service PetSmart...they have the vet, the grooming, the doggie day-care, obedience classes, pet adoptions-everything. Lots of pet food reps floating around. If I see one, I'll hit them up for a coupon. The foods are expensive and if they think they can sway you, they'll give you a few dollars off. There isn't a huge variety fro store-to-store, but this one is new and VERY clean, so shopping is a pleasant experience. Five Guys and Jason's Deli are in the same shopping center as well as Target, Home Depot and Best Buy. (All the standard corporation chains....BUT--this center is pretty quiet and out of the way. Avoid the crowds-this is a great shopping center and---bonus---Target has a Starbuck's, too!) read more

This place lies about how they treat your dog when you board them or take them to doggie daycare. I dropped my dog off at their doggie daycare on Saturday morning after talking to 2 separate employees who both said I could pick him up anytime before 9 pm because doggie daycare would last until then. At 8 pm that day, I went to go pick up my dog, and I noticed on the cameras as I was waiting for the employee to retrieve my dog that she picked him up from a kennel in the back. I didn't pay $18 for him to sit in the kennel all day, and when I asked, she initially said they were being walked outside which is why she went back there to get him...not that they were being kenneled. I saw on the report card that there were no notes about him eating, (I specifically brought in a bag of his food when I dropped him off), and she came back and returned to me the full ziplock of food and said that my dog didn't eat much. My dog eats normally at other doggie daycare places he goes to, and devoured his food when he got home, so I seriously doubt he didn't eat, but it was more like they forgot to feed him (otherwise, why wouldn't she have given me the bag of food when she returned my dog? she didn't give me the food until I asked about it). I called the manager at the store when I got home and she admitted that between the hours of 5pm - 9 pm, someone should have told me that they kennel all dogs during doggie daycare at that time, which was why he was in the kennel (funny, the other girl said they were being 'walked'). She said that she would have the pethotel manager call me on my cell phone the next day when she came to work, or a director of the pethotel, and neither called me back the next day. STAY AWAY from this place, they will forget to feed your dog, leave them in the kennel, and try to lie their way out of admitting any fault. read more

This was my first time taking my lil guy here to get groomed since moving here Sept.24,2014. First of all they do not clean the anal glands of your dog. My guy has triggers for seizures and one trigger is long blow drying, so they do not offer cage drying. Going against my better judgment I went ahead and let Melissa groom him. He was dropped off at 12:15pm for a 12:30pm appointment and was picked up at 6:15pm. He looked a complete mess. Unevenly cut, Ears Still wavy, Tail Shaved down after I told her to leave his tail fluffy, top of his head was cut crooked, around his mouth was cut uneven. Do not let Melissa groom your pet. I have a dog who is skiddish about nail trims. I take him to Petsmart grooming because I like the setup. My dog is exponentially more nervous about the groomer than the vet. Needles, fine. Draw blood from his neck, fine. Come near him with nail cutter, NO WAY! It is hard to find someone who can make him feel at ease and as he doesn't have to get his nails cut every day, each time is a new introduction and new stressful situation. I wish I had gotten the woman's name who helped him this last time. She was nice and understanding. At my urging, she tried to give my little guy a treat so he would trust her, but he was too nervous to take it. She coaxed him to the grooming table somehow and did the job quickly. By the time she was done, he even took the treat from her! Ahhh finally someone he trusts! I am happy about how pain-free this experience was.
