Very poor grooming skills. There is more to grooming than just cutting their coat short.

They can definitely stand to improve their customer service skills. I was standing by the register while two girls were looking over text messages and discussing them waiting for them to give me their attention and when the associate finally realized I was waiting for her she just stood there looking at me so I stood there, looking at her back. It was almost as if she was waiting for me to speak, but being that I was the customer I wasn't going to speak first. Eventually she asked do I need help with anything. After she was unsuccessful and helping with what I needed there was no sympathy from a business standpoint that a customer is leaving the store disappointed. She just looked at me with a very blank face. I left feeling very uncomfortable. read more

I would recommend the business, but I would not recommend you do business with the tall bald man who lies to you to sell the little $20 booklets. Told me that I could bring my cat up there and have her groomed and use the coupon. Guess what, there's no cat groomer. He even discussed how they were adding another groomer to the one they already have. They don't even have one let alone two. Shame on you. read more

Don't have Alyssa book your appointments for dog groomings. I brought my dog in after she helped me schedule a phone appointment to be denied on the day I arrived because she was overbooked. Then she rescheduled for the following week saying that I had a misunderstanding because my English is bad?!? Alyssa scheduled my appointment with someone who I found out was not qualified to do the job and they only gave my dog a bath, nails, and ear cleaning... Where is the trimming? She said there was no one available to do that service even though I paid for it? She needs some equal-opportunity training! read more

I have a miniature bernadoodle, how I brush daily. I paid for bath, shave and nail trim. Trim went well, they had failed a couple of time, and sent her home looking crazy but my husband did drop off so I took her this time and over explained. Well, they charged me a 10.00 brushing fee, which should have been waived but ok, I can deal with that, got home they had not trimmed her nails. So 101.00 later, yes 101 for a 32 lbs dog. Pets. When we get them, we know. We don't let ourselves admit it, but we know the animal will die before we do. As far as mammals go, humans live a long time. Gerbils, guppies, and even dogs and cats aren't so lasting. We are almost always with them when they die. And when they die it hurts. So why we do we keep coming back to pets? It's not because of the money. My pets are unemployed and unemployable. We can't eat them. We can't use them to pull our plows. The answer has to be that we find peace in our own mortality by knowing that this is one more beast we will death-conquer. The aquarium section is primo. Lots of tropical fish. Clean tanks. Few if any floaters (RIP). read more

It seems to be more difficult to get help from associates in retail these days. This was not the case at the Evansville location. We were assisted by Claire and I was very impressed with her knowledge and passion. She spent around 30-45 minutes making sure she answered all of our questions but, more importantly she provided information to make sure we knew the responsibility and commitment so that the animal would have its best life. It was refreshing to work with someone that really cared. PetSmart is lucky to have a wonderful person like Claire on their team. PetSmart, pay attention to the talent you have. read more

We LOVE PetSmart! My baby is 9 years old. This was the first year I've ever taken him anywhere to be groomed. I always did it on my own, but he started to get restless with me. Chastity was so stormy with him. She informed me it would be best for him to come on the evenings when it's not as busy until he got used to it. We love Chassidy she has taken care of him three times now. He just had his first bath and brush the other day. They always put cute little bandannas around his neck and he comes home smelling so sweet. She sends us home with an information sheet and a sweet little note about Jasper's visit, how he did, and how much she enjoyed taking care of him, every time. We even got a Christmas card this time! Grooming is the best!!!!! My Australian Cattle Dog gets the best Furmanator bath with extras!! He is always soft, smells great, nails are perfect from the grinding & very personable staff!! This is by FAR the worst petsmart I have ever been to. I just relocated to this area and I have never experienced such poor customer service. I used to love going to petsmart now I dread it. Everything is constantly ringing up the wrong price. Pay close attention or you will be walking out the door with a much higher bill than anticipated. It has now happened 3 times in the past 2 weeks. And when you catch them they have the "oh shit" look on their face. Rude rude lazy employees. Pet food center sounds like a much better option at this point. #8 Pet Smart -terre haute Waiting for my sister to catch up to me before entering the store i shouted, "Either a lot of dogs pee here or a lot of homeless people do." Apparently I'm an insensitive jerk. But, in my defense, it did smell really really bad outside of the store. The inside was fine, though, just like any other PetSmart. I would say not to adopt from here but these animals need help. Recently went to adopt a cat, the man that was helping was VERY rude and pushy. Not to mention they sold us a sick cat!!! He has roundworms and a URI so now my other cat is at risk. Very angry and disappointed. read more

Awful service!!! Had my dog scheduled for about 3 weeks to get a bath and nail trim. We get in there today and the woman working there asked to see his paws. She reached down and because he is only one year old and LOVES to play, he opened his mouth up NOT BITING HER OR EVEN TOUCHING HER and she refused to take him for his appointment!! He has been here multiple times before and has never had any problems. Don't go to pet smart, give your money to a grooming service who actually cares about your pet. read more

PetSmart, 215 N Burkhardt Rd, Evansville, IN 47715 I am boycotting Pet Smart on Burkhardt Road in Evansville, Indiana. Colton a manager told me I was banned from buying anymore fish after returning a dead guppy . He was not going to give me a replacement But a refund which he kept changing his mind about. I told some customers about this while waiting for my refund . He then banned me from the store. We go there almost daily for something. I have been telling people since I left the store. I called customer service and got a case number 60609 So far people in Vanderburgh County know as well as people buying fish at another store in Warrick County. A couple from Gibson County heard my story and are spreading the word to boycott Pet Smart I will be posting my boycott on Facebook. I noted than some one else got banned after spending two hundred dollars on parakeets, cages, etc. I am not the only one to be banned. Pet Smart must want to lose its customers by pissing them off. Dumb way to treat your once loyal customer. read more
