My issue is with the grooming department. I don't like making an appointment for small dog grooming and not being able to pick him up for 4 hours. The store is always immaculate. Neat clean and organized. However, overall, PetSmart is over priced in my opinion.

The management staff is ever rotating and there are clear ethical issues with the way they cater to only one animal rescue in the area. They have allowed this specific rescue to take control over the entire cat adoption area and won't even allow Glynn County Animals Services, the local kill shelter, to use the facility to help adoptions. read more

Made my service animal a grooming appointment, which took two weeks to get. Someone from petsmart calls me 51 minutes before the appointment to tell me the groomer called in sick.... Zero care about the massive inconvenience this is on the customer and zero compensation offered. Spoke with Lasean or whatever his name is the so called manager and told him and he was of even less use! Then during the call with the so called manager, tells me there's a $30 up charge for express, even though my animal is a service animal. When I made the appointment two weeks ago the girl said Nothing about this charge. They're charging 60% more for a service animal! HORRIBLE service with even worse management! STAY AWAY! They don't care about you or your animal and it shows! STAY AWAY! The best thing that could happen to this place is Go Out of Business! read more

If you want you expect Petsmart to take action or responsibility for anything that happens to your dog while in their care think twice. When you buy an animal that requires regular grooming you are entering a lifetime commitment to pamper that dog daily. The only reason they got 1 Star was so I could post pictures of my 4 month old miniature schnauzer. She was not groomed here her first groom. Now she is traumatized. I did not see this before we left, but I certainly did while brushing her that night. I called the next day and got a RUDE assistant manager named Brenda. We had two conversations. In one she was supposed to call me back right after 9 am. But then the RUDENESS turned to VENOM when I had to call back at 430 pm. She talked so fast and long she thought I had hung up. I just let her get it out. With that,they threw my husband under the bus. He brought pictures of her other groom, how I wanted her nose and talked with them. It was said he stated "he did not care how she was groomed". In the same breath they blamed the fleas. Funny because she's on RX flea prevention. So Suffice to say the assistant manager Brenda, and the groomer Kristen are not on my safe for pets list. They are not interested in customer service either . Enter at your own peril. read more

My friend and I popped in looking for a specific item. She had purchased one at another location and we stopped in here because she wanted to get another. The shopping center in general was seriously empty...it was the middle of the afternoon but felt creepy. The store was also empty of customers but there were several staff members around. We made a few circles in the dog section before asking for help - oddly what we were looking for was across the store from all the other dog related items which was so weird. Even the staff member said she didn't understand why it was stocked that way. The shelves were so bare and they didn't have what we were looking for. It was pretty disappointing because they didn't have anything comparable either. We looked online while we were standing in the store and the item was still being sold by PetSmart so really it just reinforced why we do most of our shopping online these days...because making a trip to the store was just a big waste of time. We looked on Amazon while in the store and found what we wanted and for much cheaper & faster shipping than PetSmart. We would have been willing to pay more money inside the store to get what we wanted right then but since we could not, we just ordered it on Amazon. The staff members were all nice and tried to help us but were not able to do anything. I don't want store like this to go out of business but the combination of how desolate the parking lot & store was - I see it happening sooner than later. read more

I drove an hour to get there because I had called ahead of time to see if they had my fish. I show up and had to ask for help even though one customer service rep seen me walk in. I went to pay for my fish which were on sale and the girl tried to charge me full price and wanted to argue about it. I said even on the glass they are on sale and she still argued. I eventually got them at the online price. Should not have to argue with a store employee about a product they are supposed to know about. The reason I gave two stars is because they did have what I wanted and they met the online price. read more

This is our favorite Petsmart. Vader (our dog) goes wild when we pull up to Petsmart. We went through their puppy training class and it was great. The people who work at this Petsmart are one of the main reasons it's so good. They are always willing to help me find whatever I need. They always take time to talk to me about my precious puppy. We use the Grooming Salon and love it. Vader is ready to leave us behind when we walk through the Grooming Salon doors. The clean his teeth, paws and ears. He always comes out looking and smelling great. The stylists in the Grooming Salon are always kind and caring with all the animals. He gets a Pawgress report every time he gets groomed. This Petsmart is located by a Lowe, Old Navy and Target. In the same shopping area there is also a Long Horn restaurant. So while we wait for our precious puppy to get groomed we eat and shop. Even though we have moved away from Brunswick this is the only place I will take my pup to be groomed. It's worth the drive to know that Vader will be taken care of by people who truly love animals. read more

For being in the pet industry for over 20 years I have seen my fare share of good and bad stores. The store is always clean, stocked and well organized. I wouldn't say the staff is well knowledges but they do know where items are and how they are intended to be used ( just lacking that "life" experience). The manager is awesome and always makes you feel welcome. I have had our dog groomed there a few times and it was a well done job ( a bit price but well done). All and all for a box store pet store it is a good experience! The staff can get you to the item you are looking for. read more

My friends went into PetSmart to adopt a cat, they are not 21 which is fine. I myself am 23 years old and went with them. She did not ask me for my identification. This lady (probably the manager) was extremely disrespectful and aggressively told me we couldn't get one. I live on St. Simons, and I hope you read this. I am never going back to a PetSmart ever again. She was the lady with brown hair and was not wearing a uniform. She is probably the manager, but that does not mean she can aggressively snap at her customers over a kitten. This was the worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life. Store is clean and well stocked with a large selection of items. However, Valerie (sp) that was working the register was rude and unprofessional. As I waited in line, she was extremely nice to the customers in front of me. I walked up with a cheery "hi! How are you?", but before I could finish my sentence, she cut me off saying "do you have a phone number with us?" I tried to engage in casual conversation while she finished scanning my items but was ignored. She wouldn't even make eye contact with me. I finished checking out, grabbed my bags, and couldn't help but notice her cheerfully greeting the customers behind me. Seriously? I understand I came through the line with my well-behaved bully breed dog, but, if your feelings towards a certain breed render you incapable of acting professional, why work in a pet store? read more

I had an appointment to have my dog bathed and nails trimmed. I showed up at my scheduled time and was told that there was a problem with the bather. I have recently applied to this store and went to take a friend to an interview, before they even talked to her, the manager asked me with an attitude, "do you need something?" I said "no thanks, I'm just waiting on my friend who has an interview " she said "do you always come to all her interviews?" I said "no, I'm just her ride for today" then she walked away with an attitude and for about the hour long interview they had with my friend, I was just looking around at the items and animals in the store not bothering them or getting in their way. All of the staff were giving me dirty looks and even though I smiled, no one smiled back or said hello to me. The next day they gave a call back to my friend and said she had to speak to the manager a third time because having a friend there with her threw them off! That's all they really told her. Nothing about her interview, just how it was too weird that I was walking around the store while waiting for her. I can't believe the staff and especially the managers are so rude and what do they care if I was her ride and looking at things? I am still a paying customer and was not stealing or harassing anyone. I am baffled as I have been treated sooo much better in places as cheap as McDonald's. All I know is I am definitely NOT going to work there and they have lost me as their customer. I've shopped here numerous times when I'm in the area to get food for my dog. Went in today to purchase food and noticed that one of her tubs was a $1 online but not in the store . When the manger came and pulled it up on her iPad she said no it's not coming up on my device perhaps you have an old cache and asked me to go to the website directly and not a Google search. Once I did that and still showed her it was $1 she still said well her iPad was all she had to go by and wouldn't honor the price. I told my mom is just get that item from the pets art in FL by my house. The young, white female manager said well ok, with a don't care attitude and walked away . We purchased the remaining food that was on sale. The young black cashier was very nice and apologetic but I won't ever spend another dime in that store .i feel sorry for those who live in the area because the next nearest PetSmarts are over 60 miles in either direction.
