I was looking for a place in Tallahassee that had a dog day care and was happy I found this place…read more I was shocked when I saw the pictures of the place because I was hoping there was an option for Humans to stay. The best part for me is they have a groomer there so while Mick (my dog) gets to play, he also gets groomed right before he gets home. They also have a complimentary free day to test out so if you're on the fence, it's free, why not. During my first visit, I got the feel it was a genuine day care and when my dog left it was like leaving my child for his first day of school. They cycle the dogs out that get to play so I was anxious to see how he does. They have cameras you can watch online. My dog is also timid around men but he felt comfortable around one of the male coworkers (Sorry I don't know his name). I didn't know how the grooming would go so when I got a call from Molly, I was ready for the worse. She told me he was fantastic and loved him. It was so unexpected and it made me so happy to know he did so well. Overall, my dog seems to like it (not sure because he's still learning how to talk) and I have had positive experiences with multiple staff. They answered all my questions and were amazing to Mick. I think if you are hesitant or have questions, just give them a call because they were more than happy to answer all my (clingy crazy dog dad) questions.

When I picked him up a few hours later, he looked like he'd just come out of surgery because most of the fur was shaved off around his neck! Just a couple of snips with scissors and combing it out is all that is needed, and what I usually do. They also shaved halfway up his two back legs! PAW. PAD. FUR. Guess where that fur is. There are chunks of fur missing on his body that I can't even comprehend the purpose of. $105 for the removal and what they called a groom. Don't. That's my best advice.

My long haired cats were getting some mats around their rears. (IYKYK) Angels have paws was able to…read moreget me an appointment quickly. Their specialist cat groomer was friendly, good with my cats, and had them in and out in no time! No dogs so can't speak to that, but if your cats need grooming this is the place to take them.

I would rate Angels Have Paws with 1 star. I personally witnessed the owner choking a young…read moreenergetic lab because it was excited. She had a rope lead around the dog's neck, and pulled him up off the floor. The dog was gasping for breath. The son of the owner saw this in that he was there to pick up his pet after grooming. She proceeded to tell the young man that his Mother needed to train this lab (as she was choking the dog). Prior to this, I took my first puppy Toy Maltipoo there to be groomed for the second time when the business move to the complex next to Coosh's. When I picked him up and got home, he cowered when I stood over him to pick him up. He had never done that before. He was scared of me! After that when I put him in his crate he would run and cower in a corner of the crate if I was near the crate, which he had never done before. I had once witnessed the owner yelling at dogs waiting to be groomed to be quiet and banging on the kennels. I'm assuming my puppy was barking and she scared him to death with banging on the kennel. The final straw was when I took my 2 Maltipoos (I had gotten another puppy Maltipoo) to be groomed and I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted for each, she said, "I'll do what I think is best." I had wanted their hair left relatively long. I had brushed them that morning and there were no mats. When I picked them up they were both skinned. You could see their pink skin! She said they were both so matted that they shaved them! That was a lie! I can show you before and after pictures. My friends were appalled at how they looked. I'll never go back there, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone!
