We searched for a few weeks for a new full service veterinarian after ending our 15 year…read morerelationship with another animal hospital. We had our first visit here and surgery later that day. From the first phone call which was kind and transparent on pricing to calling back to schedule it was easy. The doctor was great with our dog and we felt he explained his thoughts and our dogs needs and different ideas on how to achieve those objectives. The pricing was fair and staff treated her well. We have found a new vet and our dogs surgery was a success.

Max had been to Dr Scott in…read morethe past and I felt good about this office but we called every vet in the county to get a good quote. I I could not afford to pay an excessive amount due to recent costly medical treatments of my own! Treatments that max stood right by me through every single day! After many many quotes Dr Scott's office said the cost would be $200 plus tax, which was fair given the number of quotes we received. My friend raised money to help max and we were quoted from $168 (Free home) to $400 just for the euthanasia! So I knew what to expect and felt confident the $200 quote given to me by Cassie was fair! Well I was scammed by this office with a bait and switch! The quote Cassie gave me to put max down was out the door and Dr Scott refused to honor it! He stood arguing with me there while my dog was in the other room and I was a mess having the weight of putting down my best friend! I am sick to my stomach that I brought my baby here to this greedy Vet who could care less about Max or myself! I paid this office but just know Iwill be on the news about this! I have every note and Cassie even put me on hold two times while we were on the phone!

After he left she walked over to me with terror in her eyes. When the door opened up she hid behind my back. That's how scared she was. I was dying inside. I felt so helpless. Then the door opened again and the vet walked in. He took on look at her and said, "looks like she needs another shot again"! He showed no compassion at all! He gave her another shot that knocked her out. Her blue eye was spinning round and round! I was heartbroken and still am. If I had waited one more day I would have had my regular vet, Dr. Hargett. What a compassionate man! He even took the time to look up how many calories were in my dog food, and told me about 1-800-pets. I didn't want to lose him, but I knew I would never be able to walk in there again. How could a vet be so cruel? Maggie was family! I miss her so much.

From routine visits to his final moments, the compassion, professionalism, and integrity shown by Dr. Wansky (Harpers Doctor), Dr. Hiland, Dr. Fellows, and the entire staff were nothing short of extraordinary. Just shy of his 14th birthday, Harper began showing signs of distress--excessive thirst and urination. Dr. Wansky promptly ran diagnostic tests and diagnosed him with diabetes. Understanding the financial strain that long-term care can bring, she worked closely with us to find a more affordable treatment plan without compromising his well-being. Two months later, Harper's condition worsened. He stopped eating and drinking, and we returned to the clinic for further testing. We were awaiting results when, on Friday night, Harper's health declined rapidly his breathing became labored, and he cried out in pain with movement. By Saturday morning, we knew it was time. We arrived at the clinic before the final test results were in. The staff welcomed us with empathy and professionalism, creating a space of peace and dignity for Harper and our family. Dr. Wansky reviewed the bloodwork, which was inconclusive, and gently explained that a tumor was likely the cause of his suffering. She and her team took exceptional care of Harper in his final moments, and we will never forget the compassion she showed as he drew his last breath. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Wansky and the entire team at Allatoona Animal Hospital. Their unwavering commitment to the Veterinarian's Oath "to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering" was evident in every interaction. Unlike others we've encountered, their focus was never on profit, but on honoring that oath and serving with integrity. If you are seeking a veterinary team that treats your loved ones with the same care and respect, they would their own, Allatoona Animal Hospital is the only place we would recommend. Harper may be gone, but the continued health and happiness of Ruckus and Gibson are a living testament to the outstanding care this team provides. With heartfelt appreciation, The Waters Family

A neighbor recommended pet shots express & I took my 2 adult dogs there recently for their annual exams. The woman I spoke to on the phone recommended making an appointment vs. being a walk-in (due to walk-ins sometimes having to wait a long time). On the day of my appointment, I think we only waited for about 3-5 minutes in the car before they called us in. It was great not having a long wait in the waiting room. They were great to my dogs, spent a lot of time talking with me about different issues my dogs are having and were really thorough. They were also up front about fees and different options financially with different treatments (as opposed to the full service vets I've gone to...) One of my dogs had an allergic reaction to a new vaccine he was given & they were really good about taking care of him and the doctor & tech both stayed late - after hours - to make sure he was okay. I definitely recommend this place to anyone with pets! They're great & don't break the bank too much :)
