They have a small tropical and coldwater fish department at the back of the store. The animals don't appear distressed in any way. It's great fun to go and see the hamsters, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits. My only complaint is about the trolleys - they charge for them, and I don't always have a £1 coin to put in the slot. I would appreciate not having to pay because it's very difficult to carry big bags of sawdust and trays of pet food around. I feel that a trolley is essential in stores like this!

I've always found the staff to be polite and friendly too - and if they don't know the answer to a question, they go and find someone who does. The staff here also suggested some remedies (non chemical) to help my dog with his fear of fireworks! They also have a lovely gift section with ideas for animal loving friends. It may not be the cheapest pet store in the city, but it is a good one.

This is my absolute favourite fish shop in Gloucester. They stock a massive range of tropical,…read moremarine and coldwater fish of all different types. They are well displayed and appear to be well looked after. The prices are very reasonable - they quite often have multibuy deals on, so you get a lot of fish for your money. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. I believe that if you want something that they don't stock, they are able to order it in for you, which does take a few weeks but is well worth the wait. The shop does get busy at weekends, but they are well staffed and the service is always fast. They also sell a huge range of aquariums, foods and other fish keeping paraphenalia.
