My son's favorite birthday party activity.

This is our second time here for my animal loving son's 8th birthday trail ride. My son and nephew are extreme beginners, and I appreciate the time and teaching taken by the owner and our guide with our group. We had a lovely time and our comfort and ability were considered at all times. Tanya even took the time to have the boys practice weaving through the cones. The owner loves her horses and takes correct behavior and practice seriously! She's absolutely not rude, but firm with children. In my experience children will mirror respect of the animals as modeled by owner and staff and rise to high expectations. I hope to start lessons for my son eventually as this is a high quality establishment.

We were visiting WA on vacation and I wanted my three daughters to get to experience horseback riding. I was a bit nervous because my 7 year old is a bit anxious at new things and my 4 year old is so small but these ladies were wonderful! The owner was friendly- I see in another review someone said she was rude but I didn't think so, she's very direct and has a lot of responsibility to convey important info when you've got kids and large animals. She was great with us. The property is AMAZING!! So beautiful and well taken care of. There are goats, a pig, chickens, dogs, and a lot of horses you see on your ride. The 2 young women that took us on the ride were so wonderful. They made my girls feel so comfortable and my kids had a blast! You can tell these ladies love the horses and love their job! Bring apples and carrots! We brought just apples and wish we had brought carrots too because Duke(a sweet dog) watches as your giving your treats to see if anyone brought him a carrot..we wished we had! Great experience! It would be an easy choice for us to go back..I wish we lived closer so we could take the weekly lessons she offers.

I'll admit I was skeptical when I first heard there was an actual farm in Seattle. Land here is…read morescarce and expensive. But lo and behold - there really is one! Seattle Farm is a privately owned 20-acre property, and I'm pretty sure it's the only farm within city limits. The place is beautifully maintained and feels like a hidden gem. No cows or chickens, but there are plenty of horses. We came during pumpkin season and paid $25, which covered both parking and admission. Big parking lot, easy access. At the barn you'll find several horses, and feeding them hay was a hit for both kids and adults. The darker horse was especially affectionate - kept rubbing its head against us, super sweet. You can also pay extra for horse/pony rides; they are all calm, well-trained, and come in various sizes. There's a food area with picnic tables where you can grab hotdogs and drinks. The pumpkin selection isn't as large as farms farther out, but still enough. It's great to see a place like this still operating in the city, and it's definitely worth supporting to help keep it going. I think they also host private events like birthday parties and weddings, and offer dedicated horseback-riding lessons - you'll need to call for details. Awesome family-friendly spot. We'll definitely be back next year!

Great event space, had a corporate event here and Army and Lisa were great hosts! Will definitely…read morebe back.
