Right before we left on vacation one of our cats wouldn't eat. We had just adopted him and his sister and he came to us with stomatitis. Teeth extraction was scheduled after vacation but we had to get thru a week of pain and not eating. Jessica was a lifesaver! My old pet sitter backed out the day before I left for a week vacation (over the New Year holiday). I called Jessica at Pets Are Cool and we made an appointment for her to come by for a consolation the same day. I was nervous about a stranger taking care of my cat and being in my home when I was out of town, but I was in a bind. She showed up early, and I got a good vibe from her right away. She is very sweet, you can tell she really loves her job, and loves animals. My cat wasn't very social when she came over the first time so while I filled out the (very thorough) paperwork, she sought out my cat and played with him. We chatted for a while, going over what she needed to know about my cat, location of food, ect, and she shared stories of her experiences sitting. She is professional, but also very friendly. I could have chatted with her much longer but was very busy. While I was gone she feed my cat, cleaned the litter box, and gave him play and cuddle time. I told her she only needed to clean the box once while I was gone, but she did it every time she came. She also sent me a text me every time she came by with a nice update on how things went. After having a great experience with her, I am surprised she only had one review on yelp, as she has been in business for years. She's not the crazy cat lady type, just has a big love for animals, especially cats. I will definitely be using Jessica's service again, for both my dog and cat. read more

Jessica seemed great but she's hiding something. We decided to look in on our animals while we were away and we saw Jessica on our home security camera. She was yelling at our dogs, saying she wanted them dead, that she was going to kill them, and just overall terrifying them during every visit. We fired her but then she refused to return the money we had pre-paid her. She is nuts! I'm sure there are lots of other unhappy customers too, but they're afraid to leave bad reviews because she's so crazy and who knows what she might try to do? read more

Jessica of Pets Are Cool is so in tune with my cat that sensing that he wanted to hide out under my bed or deep in my closet, she placed food and water close to each so he could get to it quickly in his shy and fearful state. WHO DOES THAT? I DO. I am so touched by this type of kindness and in tuneness with my feline because my kitty can get very shy and afraid. She sensed all that, and now, one visit after that, Jessica and my cat are slowly becoming acquainted with one another. Jessica was a great find! She came over ahead of time to meet my 3 kitties and we got to know each other a little bit. Right off the bat, I got a great vibe from her. She seemed trustworthy and her love for animals was obvious. Her prices are totally reasonable and she made sure to cater to my control freak nature by texting/emailing me updates after each visit so I would know my fur babies were okay. Side note - somehow she even managed to fix the broken blinds in my bedroom that I have been messing around with for months, I guess she thought my kitties needed more light!
