In a car with a 100 mile range that reduces to 60 or so on the highway, I realized it would be a Challenge. I needed a final charge to get me the last 30 miles. I researched my options, and found that Gutwein has a charger. I called and asked if I'd be able to use it, and they said, "Sure!" So I arrived with barely 5 miles left on the "tank" and found the charger blocked by a gasoline-using truck. Ut oh. But wait! Employee to the rescue! When they saw me pull up, one of their staff members immediately hopped up, turned on the charger, and moved the truck. I hung out for about an hour, used their bathroom twice, and they never tried to convince me to change cars or get my tires rotated or any of the other things I was afraid of. So, there are some good people there. If you're wanting to buy a car, check them out, if only because kind humans who do things out of that kindness, rather than from an ulterior motive, are few and far between.

Keep in mind that this was at 8:30 at night. Turns out that the gentlemen were mechanics at Complete Auto and Tire. The looked at my van and quickly determined that my alternator had failed. My thought was that I would get a hotel and they could fix it in the morning. Instead they called the owner of the local parts store, re-opened their business and fixed my car at 9:30 all at a completely reasoanable price. Best business ever
