I was really worried about joining A.R.T. for several reasons. Namely, every tattoo shop I went to…read moresaid the avoid anything that called itself a tattoo school, because they're scams and they claim to make you a tattoo artist in two weeks. Those schools exist, but A.R.T. is not one of them. After sitting through shop after shop telling me they just didn't want me on their team (for no reason other than they were afraid of competition, perhaps because I am a woman, I don't know), I decided to say forget those people who are telling me what I can and cannot do. I checked out A.R.T. and it was nothing like what they said. I've been an apprentice for a year now and I'm still learning every day. I agree that it takes time to perfect this challenging skill, and A.R.T. is not claiming otherwise. It is exactly like a regular apprenticeship without the three years of violent hazing, cleaning the shop and artists' houses and cars, picking up their kids from school, being free labor all while never touching a machine. This wonderful, inviting, welcoming institution accepts people of any race, gender, and age as long as they are passionate about their chosen career path. People have told us time and time again that we're not worthy of being tattoo artists because they say so, because we're breaking from their personal opinions on how it should be done. I don't know these people, but I do know that they are not going to stop me achieving my goals and following my dreams.

They help you with everything and they help you grow at your own pace and help you develop your artwork in ways that will last longer on skin and there are so many amazing artists to learn from in this company and they welcome you all like you're family and that's truly amazing to me

Nancy is an incredible therapist and the most effective and professional psychotherapist that I…read morehave ever met. I met her and began seeing her in 2013 and continue to have check-ins with her on a regular basis. She helped me through some of the hardest periods of my life, and helped me to always see the positives even during the rough times. She has worked with all of my family members and has maintained the utmost professionalism and confidentiality. I wouldn't trust anyone else but her with helping me through the difficulties and celebrating the good times. Don't hesitate to call her--you don't be disappointed!

This woman is a scam artist. She is an in network provider with our insurance. What does that mean?…read moreIt means that she has a negotiated and contracted rate through our insurer, that she submits claims to our insurer, and we pay the co-insurance due when the claim has been finalized. So, you can imagine my surprise when she billed the ENTIRE cost to our card without submitting a claim to our insurance, let alone having a processed and finalized claim indicating the amount that we owe out of pocket. I spoke with her over the phone and explained that this was not permissible behavior (especially given that we had already hit our deductible for the year and I knew the coinsurance due by us would be substantially less than the total session cost) and she told me that she would be refunding the charges and submitting claims to our insurance. A month later, she had still done neither of these things. We were out hundreds of dollars that we should never have been charged in the first place and finally had to submit a claim on our own behalf (even though this should NEVER have been our responsibility with an in network provider) to get back the portion of those charges the insurance would've covered had this criminal actually submitted the claims as she told us she would do and was supposed to do. We only did this after contacting her multiple times requesting that she do her job and bill the insurance, as well as provide the refunds she had already said she would be processing a month prior. DO NOT TRUST THIS PROVIDER.

My husband and I hesitated to hire a tutor for our 11th grader in IB Math because we felt that (1)…read moreit is the school's responsibility to teach, and (2) we wanted our son to feel that he didn't need a tutor. Also, we knew that tutoring can be expensive, and we weren't sure how effective it would be. However, it soon became clear that our son wasn't getting thorough instruction at school -- the explanations weren't clear enough, and the homework problems weren't proving to be good practice for the tests. Our neighbor highly recommended Dan Chinburg at Lionheart Tutoring (he had tutored two of her children in math and SAT practice) so we contacted him, and we're so glad that we did. After the first session with Dan our son showed immediate improvement. Everything became so much clearer for him. Additional sessions have been a great support and confidence-builder for him. Initially our son didn't want a tutor, but he likes Dan's low-key style and looks forward to the sessions.

My daughter has used tutors her entire life due to learning disabilities and I can say that Mr. Chinburg is professional, proficient, reliable, calm, compassionate and really cares about how his students do. He not only is fantastic at tutoring, but he has the common sense as to how to approach teachers, professors, faculty to best benefit your child and improve their grades and scores. My daughter is a student at the University of Pennsylvania and she has been on the Dean's list, will graduate with highest honors and much of this is due to Mr. Chinburg. He is also very flexible and tries to make himself readily available which is why he is careful as to how many students he takes on and will not take your child if he does not feel he will benefit the student. If your child is lucky enough to have Dan he will surely benefit and you as a parent need not worry. Dan also helped my daughter with many applications and if you need his services for applications when applying to college or graduate school he is great. I think Dan is really a find and well worth anything you pay.
